Bonnie Indermill must give up her dreams of show-biz success, but what new career path can she find? CF seems to be a lifeline, but the financial services company confuses her. It doesn't seem that she really has work to do, except for covering for Edwin Fong--better known as Fast Eddie--a compulsive gambler hired for the same trainee program that she's in. She also falls for handsome Danish graphic artist Derek, though she fears he's lying to her. In fact, she's not sure who is telling the truth, especially after the CEO is murdered shortly after Bonnie and Derek dropped him off from their cab during a snowstorm. A charming addition to this working-girl series.

Bonnie takes a job at a financial services company during the Christmas holidays. But none of the workers seem to be doing anything. It turns out the company is a front for a Chinese money-laundering drug ring. Then the CEO is murdered and Bonnie is kidnapped when she investigates. Very interesting characters, especially Eddie Fong and Amanda Paradise, two Chinese who have very eccentric traits. Much better than expected.
