International Little Cookbooks

A Little Greek Cookbook

Rate this book
Traditional Greek food emphasises freshness and seasonal availability. The pungent aroma of wild mountain herbs, combined with the sharp taste of feta cheese, lemon, cool natural yoghurt, tangy olives, rich olive oil, and garlic are all trademarks of the Greek kitchen.

This selection of traditional Greek recipes contains starters such as Fasolatha, Taramosalata, and Tzatziki; a selection of vegetable, fish, poultry, and meat dishes, including Briami and Yiemista, Kalamarakia, Kotopoulo me Bamies, and Arnaki Frikassee; and rich desserts such as Kourabiethes and Loukamathes.

All the books in this little series are beautifully illustrated - water color and pencil illustrations. But I can't say I can follow the recipes all that well.
