This book, the second in a four-volume series designed to give carpenters, builders, do-it-yourselfers, and students a solid knowledge of carpentry, not only concentrates on a number of basic areas but also considers some advanced building projects. A good portion of the book is devoted to mathmatics needed by the carpenter, both the theoretical and the everyday math necessary for business computations.
This series is the most helpful and comprehensive introduction to all aspects of carpentry I've ever read. Much of what I can do today is thanks to using these books to figure out how to do carpentry and construction. It could be called "The Carpenters Bible".
I just knew all that algebra I learned in college had real world applications!
