Yuck is quite the little bastard. He tortures his sister and annoys anyone that crosses his path.
From his stinky moldy underwear to his fat hairy spider. Maybe Yuck needs to learn some manners, but what a heck of a vivid imagination.

I'll say this much - it takes some effort to make Captain Underpants look highbrow, but there you have it. Yuck is, well, grosser than gross. He's dirty, he plays with slugs and eats worms, he has underwear that is so dirty it becomes sentient...

I don't know. I love Captain Underpants. I really enjoyed The Day My Butt Went Psycho. This just seems like it's gross for gross's sake, and maybe I'm becoming too much of an old man these days, but this really didn't work for me.
Yuck is right! I have no problems with the likes of Captain Underpants and George Brown, Class Clown a.k.a. Super Burp. Yuck, however was just not good. It was gross and disgusting, which I am sure some 2nd grade boys will like. As a parent and a children's librarian, I really don't see much in this book. Interestingly enough, my 1st grade son - who likes bathroom humor with the best of them - would not even touch it, he thought the cover was even too gross for him.

My 7 year old son finished this in 45 minutes. I'll take some potty humor for that level of dedication and reading time!
