I got a lot out of this book as can be seen by the number of highlighted passages on my Kindle. Fabulous stories with rich synthesis of learning.

Media Strategies helped me to think differently about how I design my marketing plan and activities to support my writing and consulting activities.

So many valuable takeaways for those looking to leverage owned, earned and paid media. Here are a few.

Become a master of your subject; Make your content appealing to the masses; Tell a story and be human; Produce content in sufficient quantity; Share it like crazy on social media; Use amazing visuals to support your content; and leverage self-promotion and cross promotion.

Be open to all sorts of media channels. Beware of your personal preferences defining the channels you use. (I know that I often fall into this trap).

Consider an integrated, multi-channel approach to story sharing

Embrace audience input with this feedback loop providing valuable insights.

Highly recommended for those wishing to have guidance in making choices about where you invest time and $$$.
