Disclaimer - I was offered a free copy in return for an unbiased review.

This was a fun MG book that cleverly turned magic into science, Agnes is a great character and I really enjoyed her relationship with the Partners/Fairies. It's was an easy read for me but took a while as I wasn't fully invested but that's mostly due to that fact I'm more than 10 years over the targeted age range.

Did I enjoy it: Yes.
Would I read it again: Probably not, just a bit too young for me.
Am I glad I read it: Yes

I was sent a copy of partners by the publisher in return for an honest review

Now I'll start by saying that this book was fine, there wasn't particularly anything wrong with the book, however I do feel that maybe it is aimed at a slightly younger audience than myself. The premise of the book was good, I thought it was a nice story and Agnes was a lovely character, but despite that I do think that my age and my lack of interest in this specific genre contributed towards me not enjoying it much.

Okay! 'll change up from the grumpy old man bio I had in here.
I was born in Denver in 1962. I went to Colorado State for a time but could never finish. That was a mistake! I enlisted in the US Navy and spent twenty years on submarines figuring out that college would have been a good thing. Still, I did okay. I retired and went to work for a defense contractor unit my job went a way as they sometim
