This was nine out of twenty in 2020.
I've been trying to get my hands on Glow by Vasudha Rai for such a long time now, and finally I found it. But, I was somewhat disappointed. I was expecting less rigidity in the chapters and thought it read more like a genuine beauty book with tips and tricks and experiences but it reads more like a nutrition book which discusses a catalogue of Indian superfoods, their benefits, and applications.
There's three sections, but the chapters are broken down the same. Each chapter discusses the description of a superfood, its scientific application, Ayurvedic application, and finally there's a few recipes using that superfood. It's a fairly quick read because I got through it in a day, but I made some changes to my diet already such as eating Amla chutney everyday and drinking Saraswati leyham in milk everyday. It's definitely a book that will motivate you to appreciate the rich Indian diet and will push you into clean living. It's just that if you are expecting it to be a beauty book, you'll be a bit disappointed.
