Here is a short poem from one of the 24 stories in this book "That Glowing Penny" -
“Happiness is odd Found in mysterious places Where you least expect it Like a glowing penny on the floor Not everyone can find it And sometimes you lose it
Some find it in small things Others see it in large things If you cling to it You’ll make it through Because Happiness is odd”
These young writers have nailed it. Each story has it's own flavor and take on the world. Highly recommended to readers of all ages and genres!
“Most of the basic material a writer works with is acquired before the age of fifteen.” - Willa Cather
North Carolina author and editor Pawan Mishra presents the young winners of the Lune Spark Short Story Contest and shares this fine array of talent with us in this excellent introduction to budding talent. As their mission states, ‘ Lune Spark Books aims to encourage children to engage in creating writing. We work with parents and young writers to promote creative fiction writing to help identify talent. We run annual competitions and creative writing classes and publish short stories from the young writers.’

Their futures of these young writers seem bright indeed.
The stories included are Hephaestus, Aphrodite, and Dwayne Johnson, That Glowing Penny, 汤 (Soup), Help, French Fries, The Tide Pool, My Name Is Campbell, Flames of Freedom, Don’t Judge Me, Frost, Survival, Death’s Darkness, Fostering Relationships, An Interesting Opponent, The Pen, The Ship of Steel, A Tennis Ball, Speaking Up for Each Other, It’s Never Us and Them, The Grass Is Greener on Earth, Mountain Paws, Lost and Found, Always Beautiful, and Here to Play.

Lune Spark is doing such an amazing job in helping young writers. This collection tells you why! Children of today are going to become bestselling writers of tomorrow. Effort like these, if nothing else, will make sure we get many bestselling writers in future for the support they received as kids.
Now to the book. All the stories are very well written - my favorite ones are the story of metal worker falling in love, by Poem Schway, and the story of a girl who's abused in her own very home. I couldn't put this down and finished the book in one sitting. Now kudos to all the young writers - you've done very well.
