Set in three sections Patchwork USA is a project book with something for sewists of all skill levels.
The Daytrips section are simple projects, Pincushions, Pillows and I absolutely loved the Postcard Kit project. All these are easy projects everyone can enjoy making and each one takes a small amount of time.
The Weekend Getaways and the Summer Vacation projects take a little longer to complete and are larger.. Bags, zipper pouches and even a quilt are included.
What is great about this book, is the enormous wealth of sewing information given, Advice on fabric choices and cutting, colour scheme help and a handy tool kit guide are invaluable to every stitcher.
I adored the Share the Journey section. It gives ideas on different ways to gift your projects and other way that they can be used. There are a couple of recipes and a music playlist to help make your sewing 'vacation' a pleasant and fun experience.
I will be using this book to enjoy a fun afternoon sewing with God-Daughter. the projects are fun and for a crafty day of sewing and developing new skills it is just perfect.
This book definitely assumes that you are a fairly experienced sewist. The projects are darling and approachable; just know you may need to access another YouTube video on how to install a zipper or see spray basting techniques. This is a great staple in your quilting library for gifts or even small quilts. I highly recommend.
I love this book! Even if I didn't want to make any of the projects, which I do (all of them), I would still love it. The way it is written and the tips, photos, stories, and quotes are all just lovely. A must have for sewists.
