(EN) Sophie Bennington moved to San Diego to get away from all the lies. Behind, she only left her grandmother since she lost both her parents on an early age. Now she just needs to get a job because being an amateur surfer is not going to pay her bills.
Christian Montgomery has made his job his number one priority in life. And that is now taking a toll on him. He needs to relax but he really doesn’t know how to but inviting a red-head surfer on a date seems like a good start.

I'm not really sure what's wrong with this book that I can't give it more than 3.5 stars. The characters are fine but maybe that is the problem. They're just OK. They're a little bland that I can predict what they will do and won't do. They never surprised me. Christian is this alcoholic son who's trying to prove himself and it was obvious it'll be a problem not only to his health but to his relationship with Sophie. Sophie with her baggage and wanting to start anew was a cliche concept

I wanted to love this book. It had all the right ingredients. Sexy male lead, sweet main character, lots of family, cute story, but it just never gelled for me. There was lots of health scares and lack of depth with other characters. It was not a bad read, but not a favorite

Oh how I love the workaholic Christian and the free spirited Sophie together.

Christian Montgomery is miserable. Sure he kinda likes his job but why was he helmed with being the one Montgomery to take over the family business? How did his brother and sister get out of the constant scrutiny that he seems to always be under from their dad.

Although he's been in San Diego for a while. It still isn't his home. He works too much to date and having his dad breathing down his neck constantly doesn't help

Christian and Sophie come from totally different backgrounds. He's a big city businessman who spends his days drowning in responsibility. She's a small town girl who needs a fresh start. When tough choices and a bruised heart bring small town to the big city these two opposites discover they are not all that different where it counts. Suddenly Mine tells the story of two strangers trying to break free of heartbreaking pasts and create something new. Chase wards off the chill with a hint of heat, ...more

Big city boy meets small town girl.

I liked this book, just fine. It was a simple, but predictable read- which is what I've come to expect from Samantha Chase books. Well written, smooth, and simple. I will say, I wanted to see a little more sizzle between Sophie and Christian. It was a good addition to the Montgomery series. It did make me excited to read the next book, which I am hoping is Carter's story!

3.5/5 Stars.

Christian Montgomery has been working for the family business since he was fifteen-years old. After a personal debacle while in the London office, he now heads up their San Diego branch. He eats, breathes and sleeps work, with his very limited relaxation time consisting of sitting on his deck of his beachside home watching the cute, red-head try to surf, enjoying the fact that what skill she lacks she more than makes up for with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. When he has a health scare at w ...more

I love the Montgomery series. All of these kids are victims of their parents matchmaking. Christian is just the next in line. He is the workaholic, trying to prove to his father that he has what it takes to make the business successful. He doesn't have time for a relationship nor does he want one after what happened in the London office. He has put all of that behind him. Every morning he sits on his deck and watches the beach. There are yoga classes, fishermen and surfers. One sufer in particul ...more

Suddenly Mine is the next book in Samantha Chase's Montgomery Brothers series. While this may be one of the later books in the series, if you haven't read the previous books, you can pick this one up and dive right in.

Christian Montgomery runs the San Diego branch of the family business, Montgomery Investments. He's always been driven and has worked nearly non-stop since he

Outstanding!,!! Pretty sure I could leave this review right here. I’ve enjoyed the Montgomery clan, their fun, family, love, it’s all there but I think Christian Montgomery May have stolen my favourite family member. Samantha has created a beautifully written story, that had everything from fun and laughs to heartbreak an pd those little flutters in your belly…

I loved Samantha Chase’s latest book. She continues the saga of the Montgomery family by focusing on Christian Montgomery. Fans of the series will love checking in on this family and new readers won’t have any trouble picking up the series. Ms. Chase does a great job of continuing characters while telling a completely new story.
Christian Montgomery runs the California division of the Montgomery Investment firm. He lives in his cousin’s house on the beach and works long hours. His only relaxation

There is another hit on Samantha Chase’s hands called Suddenly Mine. Suddenly Mine joins the long list of Montgomery Brother books and is an amazing addition to the series.

Christian is a workaholic. Majorly. The man never takes a vacation or downtime to do anything fun. Insert Sophie who takes life by its wings and makes time for fun and just about anything. Christian and Sophie could not be any more opposite but as they sa

Another Montgomery, another great story from one of my favourite authors Samantha Chase.
Christian Montgomery is burnt out. Sophie is a red haired nurse who catches Christian's attention while he sits on his deck by the beach and watches her attempting to surf.
Sophie left her small town in Kansas after a scandal and ends up working in Christian's building who just happens to be there when he has a panic attack and ends up in hospital. Though they had already met the day before they are not aware

This seemed like a different type of book for Samantha Chase. It’s the story of Christian and Sophie who are both in need of a new direction in their lives when they meet each other.
This book seemed much more realistic and serious than previous books by this author. It definitely has you crying, sighing and laughing, though thankfully it does end happily. I appreciated that it was realistic and characters had to deal with big issues. The relationship was still the central focus, but there were

Another fantastic story in the Montgomery series; this one focusing on Christian Montgomery. Christian is a workaholic running a division of the family business to the point that it becomes very unhealthy for him. Sophie is trying to find her footing and find a job having newly moved to San Diego from Kansas. When they first meet he has no idea that she is the nurse his mom and aunt have hired for a new wellness program in the office. The timing couldn’t be any better.
I love Christian and Sophi

Settle in, you'll want supplies to hand, with enough uninterrupted time to finish this book in one sitting. The rollercoaster of emotions written into this book, taking the readers hand through Christian and Sophies story. Amazing, love the angst, the depth of feeling, written in this story, a specialty of Ms Chase. Christian Montgomery is torn, trying to please his father, be a success, putting in the hours, too many hours, until a health scare, a chance encounter and with Sophies influence an ...more
In previous books in the series, Christian Montgomery made an appearance as a workaholic heading toward disaster in pursuit of winning his father's approval. And his health does become a problem in this book but luckily, his mother and aunt have just hired a nurse for the company and she is there to make sure he's okay.
Christian is somewhat disappointed that Sophie is his employee. He's been admiring her determination to surf for weeks and now she's loathe to have a relationship with him becaus

From the very beginning, Ms. Chase draws you into the story & when you surface, tired & wrung out, you realize you’ve finished the book & haven’t moved in hours. I love the way Samantha Chase can craft her characters in a way that you swear they are real. Their emotions & complexities come through in their interactions with the others & lead your emotions along with them through the journey. Christian’s panic attacks are so on point & emotionally draining. The writing bri ...more

A cute read with the Montgomery family we all love. Oh how I love meddling family members. Sophie is a firecracker. I love how she doesn't let Christian run all over her. She is his perfect match. Once you read this one you will see why. Now Christian is a workaholic. But I do love how he is once Sophie really enters the picture. There is just this gentle change in him. Yes I got misty eyed a little with this one. But how can you not. I mean once you do read Suddenly Mine you will see. So what a ...more

Sophie is kind , strong and brave. Christian is a take charge in control guy. Christian struggles with stress and he wants to get out of his rut. Christian and Sophie have family issues they are trying to resolve. Christian was letting his Dad's expectation define him. He was giving his life to his job. Another amazing read by Samantha Chase. I really love her books and this book was no exception. Christian is burned out, he feels this obligation to always please his father and the only way he knows how is to work 24/7. After having his panic attack and Sophie comes to his rescue, it’s like a new Christian has been born. He is more care free, he’s taking time off work and he is enjoying life. Sophie might be going through a rough time as well but with Christian by her side she can deal with any ...more

It has been a while since I have read the others in this series, so it took me a while to get into this one... and then I remembered why I loved this series! Christian had been introduced in previous books (obviously they were about his family!!) and seemed like a bit of a workaholic (turned out to be true) but he is perfectly well aware of this fact...

This is a solid entry in the series, and makes me want to read the next one... which I

Wow who doesn't love this Montgomery family!
This story revolves around Christian, running the San Diego branch of Montgomery's, working himself to death to please his never satisfied father Joseph Montgomery. Every morning before work he sits on his deck watching the people on the beach, but for the past month, one particular red headed surfer girl, Sophie, well she's not much of a surfer, catches his eye.
Read along as their story unfolds, I absolutely love this family! Samantha caught me comple

Like most Samantha Chase books I have read this was a quick and easy read even though it had some pretty emotional moments.. I have read a few of the Montgomery Brothers books before so I was already familiar with Christian and his matchmaking family. I always feel like Samantha Chase does a great job of created characters who compliment each other and Sophie and Chase certainly do that. Samantha Chase has become one of my "one click" authors so I will be anxiously awaiting her next book.

Samantha Chase has a special way of creating characters that not only are honest and true but have the conversations and hurdles that make they believable. Christian and Sophie have to go through hell and back to find happiness and their journey is one filled with anxiety, depression, anger, hatred and the feeling of never measuring up. But through it all they find the connection that survives the hardship. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and it was the perfect addition to the Montgome ...more

When I didn't think I could like the Montgomery Family even more than I already do! Sophie and Christian story is great. I enjoyed reading how Sophie helps Christian relax from his stressful job and realize there is more than the work he does. I received an arc of this book from Netgally and I absolutely loved it! Christian and Sophia's relationship developed throughout the story and I loved how they fell in love but kept trying to be just friends. That friendship slowly develops into something more. There were a lot of ups and downs and turns and twists in the book relating to family issues and allowing one's heart to open up for love. If you are a fan of Samantha Chase then you'll love this book!

This is my favorite Montgomery book yet! This book has all of the typical feel good scenes, but the real lives of Sophie and Christian made them melt my heart. These two characters both had their own personal issues to work through and they realized they worked them out so much better with each other’s support than apart. I could not put this book down and I don’t think you’ll be able to either! I can’t wait to read Carter’s story next! (I hope!)

I received a free, advance copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

I like how Samantha Chase writes a love scene but leaves the details to your imagination. It makes the characters and story line much more developed and less steamy. However, this book seemed to take forever to get through. I enjoyed the story line and it had its family drama but it just went on a bit longer than I would’ve liked.
