"I dare you to stop reading until the end."—RACHEL VAN DYKEN, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author for One More Moment
Love is a sanctuary
Christian Montgomery is burnt out—the family business might be his entire world, but his father's judgment means Christian never stops working. His only respite is gazing at the beach and the carefree surfers riding the waves...especially
Christian Montgomery has made his job his number one priority in life. And that is now taking a toll on him. He needs to relax but he really doesn’t know how to but inviting a red-head surfer on a date seems like a good start.

I'm not really sure what's wrong with this book that I can't give it more than 3.5 stars. The characters are fine but maybe that is the problem. They're just OK. They're a little bland that I can predict what they will do and won't do. They never surprised me. Christian is this alcoholic son who's trying to prove himself and it was obvious it'll be a problem not only to his health but to his relationship with Sophie. Sophie with her baggage and wanting to start anew was a cliche concept ...more
I wanted to love this book. It had all the right ingredients. Sexy male lead, sweet main character, lots of family, cute story, but it just never gelled for me. There was lots of health scares and lack of depth with other characters. It was not a bad read, but not a favorite
Christian Montgomery is miserable. Sure he kinda likes his job but why was he helmed with being the one Montgomery to take over the family business? How did his brother and sister get out of the constant scrutiny that he seems to always be under from their dad.
Although he's been in San Diego for a while. It still isn't his home. He works too much to date and having his dad breathing down his neck constantly doesn't help ...more
I liked this book, just fine. It was a simple, but predictable read- which is what I've come to expect from Samantha Chase books. Well written, smooth, and simple. I will say, I wanted to see a little more sizzle between Sophie and Christian. It was a good addition to the Montgomery series. It did make me excited to read the next book, which I am hoping is Carter's story!

Suddenly Mine is the next book in Samantha Chase's Montgomery Brothers series. While this may be one of the later books in the series, if you haven't read the previous books, you can pick this one up and dive right in.

Montgomery Brothers #8
Outstanding!,!! Pretty sure I could leave this review right here. I’ve enjoyed the Montgomery clan, their fun, family, love, it’s all there but I think Christian Montgomery May have stolen my favourite family member. Samantha has created a beautifully written story, that had everything from fun and laughs to heartbreak an pd those little flutters in your belly…

There is another hit on Samantha Chase’s hands called Suddenly Mine. Suddenly Mine joins the long list of Montgomery Brother books and is an amazing addition to the series.
Christian is a workaholic. Majorly. The man never takes a vacation or downtime to do anything fun. Insert Sophie who takes life by its wings and makes time for fun and just about anything. Christian and Sophie could not be any more opposite but as they sa ...more
Christian Montgomery is burnt out. Sophie is a red haired nurse who catches Christian's attention while he sits on his deck by the beach and watches her attempting to surf.
Sophie left her small town in Kansas after a scandal and ends up working in Christian's building who just happens to be there when he has a panic attack and ends up in hospital. Though they had already met the day before they are not aware ...more
This book seemed much more realistic and serious than previous books by this author. It definitely has you crying, sighing and laughing, though thankfully it does end happily. I appreciated that it was realistic and characters had to deal with big issues. The relationship was still the central focus, but there were ...more

It has been a while since I have read the others in this series, so it took me a while to get into this one... and then I remembered why I loved this series! Christian had been introduced in previous books (obviously they were about his family!!) and seemed like a bit of a workaholic (turned out to be true) but he is perfectly well aware of this fact...
This is a solid entry in the series, and makes me want to read the next one... which I ...more
This story revolves around Christian, running the San Diego branch of Montgomery's, working himself to death to please his never satisfied father Joseph Montgomery. Every morning before work he sits on his deck watching the people on the beach, but for the past month, one particular red headed surfer girl, Sophie, well she's not much of a surfer, catches his eye.
Read along as their story unfolds, I absolutely love this family! Samantha caught me comple ...more

I like how Samantha Chase writes a love scene but leaves the details to your imagination. It makes the characters and story line much more developed and less steamy. However, this book seemed to take forever to get through. I enjoyed the story line and it had its family drama but it just went on a bit longer than I would’ve liked.
