I needed something fun to read and this book was simply fabulous, just what I needed. I have always to read Christina Bauer's books, and when I got the opportunity, it felt like Christmas in November.

Kyla was one kick-ass, ready to fight, sarcastic part demon who lived in Purgatory. She was the only one who could move souls to Heaven or Hell. This book had the angels fading and Heavenly residents dying, and it was up to Myla to save them. She had to travel back in time to meet King Arthur and ge

This book was fun. Myla is sassy as always, and I really enjoyed Lincoln's point of view as well.
This series always makes me laugh and have a fun time reading.
As usual... can't wait to read the next one 😁

The Brutal Time takes me back into my favorite world of Angelbound with Myla and Lincoln my favorite couple of all time. I love these two together. I love seeing them spend time together and them working together to save people. Every time I lay eyes on a new book from the Angelbound world that I have not read I can feel my happiness meter go way up.

In The Brutal Time the heavenly angels are dying and Myla is their only hope for survival. As the prophecy goes she is the only one who can save th

The Book Junkie Reads . . .
Myla is back and she is kicking butt and this adventure brings out something different in her. . .

The best part of this was that we got to see Myla and Lincoln again, in action and not in action. We see Myla work to be a part of something not so solo, aside from Lincoln. He doesn't count because he means the world to her.

Myla finds that she can't keep working the way she do when the Heavenly host are dying at such a rapid rate. She needs help. She need reinforcements. She needs to step back in t

Myla has finally realized that she might need some assistance with all her job duties and responsibilities as the Great Scala and the queen of the Thrax, much to the relief of her family. But it seems that there is a prophesy in play where no matter what action Myla takes, she will trigger a demonpocalypse that could destroy everything she holds dear. Nothing the Great Scala can't handle though...right?

Keep in mind that this is the 6th book

The Brutal Time captured my attention when I read the blurb. I was intrigued to see how the author would spin the legend of King Arthur and Camelot. Then I read that memorable first line and thought to myself, “I am going to love this book.” And guess what, I did.

The Brutal Time is the 6th book in the Angelbound Series. I was a little hesitant to read the book because of that. I am happy to say is that this can be read as a stand-alone book. The author explained Myla and Lincoln’s backstories wi

First off... Thank you Christina for another AMAZING Read!

Wait just a minute.... (flails arms, screams and laughs like a lunatic)
Okay, I'm better now. Here we go.

Team Myla and Lincoln are freaking unstoppable! There were times when I was like, “oh they’ve lost their damn minds.” Then we graduated to me a ring to throw my phone... then came the love part. Seeing Myla and Lincoln in a happy, wedded bliss is awesome. Add in then the bottom drops out from under them and all they have at that moment

Angelbound is one of my all-time favorite books. I've re-read it a gazillion times. With each book in the series, I find it hard to start reading it. Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond excited to see what Myla & Lincoln are up to, but I'm always afraid, that book won't be ass good as the first one.

Well, it's amazing. From the first chapter, we are thrown right in the middle of the action. Myla is scheming and up to no good. In order to help fading angels, she has to travel back in time, gather her

This was another enjoyable read in a world we know and love... oh wait... cancel that, we're going back in time to King Arthur, Camelot and yes, Avalon!
Think you know the stories? Well, buckle up and find out what a douchebag King Arthur really was, and who Camelot was keeping prisoner.

Myla needs to work together for this mission to succeed. Unfortunately, she doesn't play well with others unless they're her family or close friends. UGH.
However, everyone she knows and loves, and well.. the whole

I am going crazy!

Time and Time again, I basically shout my enjoyment for the Angelbound Origins series. This is the series that got me interested in mild-horror and dark comedy. And like all the previous books in the series, The Brutal Time kept me from start to finish. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. You can genuinely NEVER go wrong with a book by Christina Bauer. She knows her craft. She knows how to get you hooked. And I love how the POV switches from Myla to Lincoln. I love bei

“OMG this book is the definition of greatness! I’m going over too much fangirling because of this book. Another great addition to the Angelbound series that completely left me speechless! Myla’s one of my favorite heroines and Lincoln is simply perfect for her. I must said that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED being on Lincoln head, seing thing from his perspective was so delightful. I loved him! It was a funny and interesting story that kept me on the edge since chapter 1! The end wasn’t what I expected but ...more

Another addition to the Angelbound series? Sign me up! I love this world and these characters. Myla's been a favorite heroine of mine since I read the first book a few years ago. Myla and Lincoln kick some major butt and are just so amazing together. This story was no different. It was fun and kept me turning page after page, even when I should have been sleeping. I loved the tale of King Arthur mixed with their world, it was a seriously fun treat! Christina Bauer has created a magical world tha ...more

Poor Myla. She's finally ready to ask for some help with all of her work and doing so creates a whole other chain of events and issues that could lead to the end of all things - so of course that means she has to save the world... again!

I love this world, this series and these characters. The snark, the romance, the adventure - just so much fun!

If you enjoy anything related to this genre, you're in for a treat!

I really enjoy this series and in this book Myla really starts to grow into her roll as queen and Scala. There are a few twists to the story of Camelot and the knights of the round table, as well as some interesting moments from Lincoln's point of view. Lots of action and of course magic make this an excellent addition to the series. Where can I get my own Captain Fluffbottom?

Christina Bauer thinks that fantasy books are like bacon: they just make life better. All of which is why she writes romance novels that feature demons, dragons, wizards, witches, elves, elementals, and a bunch of random stuff that she brainstorms while riding the Boston T. Oh, and she includes lots of humor and kick-ass chicks, too. Christina lives in Newton, MA with her husband, son, and semi-in ...more
