Love at Sea

Rate this book
Maura O'Neal would be insane to pass up the cruise she and her great aunt had been planning just because the old woman injured her foot and Maura would have to go alone. It would be the perfect chance for Maura to enjoy a well-deserved vacation and she could do the research for her great aunt's next romance novel. But she didn't count on the ship's owner, Nikolaos Vassos, to be so infuriating, so arrogant, so stubborn…so handsome.

I enjoyed this romance novel, although it was not anything spectacular. Good, solid novel. I liked the cruise ship setting and the characters. I’ll try her other novels.

This was the last in the Jennifer Blake contemporary romance collection I received via bookbub. I accidentally read the last (Rent-a-Groom) before this one, but as the stories are not connected, this was not a problem. What struck me in that one went even further in this one.... and makes me belatedly wonder if this series should have been classified as Christian literature (if that is the genre... it‘s something like that). I wonder because here as in Rent-a-Groom, it seems chastity is a pretty big deal. Although Maura in this book might not have minded quite so much if it had not been clear the hero was suggesting she be his pillow friend, as coyly described in the book. The tension between the two male characters was rather strange - especially from the outset Alessandro‘s reaction to Nikolaus boarding the ship? Anyway, light entertainment.

A very gentle read about a woman who takes a cruise and meets a force of a man. The descriptions of the liner, the places and the sights were so incredibly well done that it was like you were there.
The Mc is a very mature young woman but the man acted a bit strange towards the end.
