Torn apart from her mates, Red must discover the truth about her powers before a faceless and ruthless enemy conquers not only her but all inhabitants of Crimson Hollow.
This is the second book in the Wolves of Crimson Hollow trilogy.
I always knew creative arts were my calling but not in a million years did I think I would become an author. With a background in fashion design I thought I would follow that path. But one day, out of the blue, I had an idea for a book. One page turned into ten pages, ten pages turned into a hundred, and before I knew, my first novel, The Prophecy of Arcadia, was born.
I live in Florida with my husband and baby daughter. I'm currently working on the Arcadian Wars series, the Elements series, and the Love Me, I'm Famous series.
Arcadian Wars is a YA Paranormal/SciFi Romance series. It follows the life of a group of teens who possess incredible powers and have a very important mission: save their planet and in the process, save Earth too. The first book, The Prophecy of Arcadia, and the novella, The Fall of Arcadia, are already available. The second book, The Phoenix Shadow, will be published in the summer of 2015.
Elements is a new YA Paranormal Romance series. It focuses on two sisters who hold the key to stop a full-blown war between elemental beings and humans. Look for the first book by the end of 2015.
Love Me, I'm Famous is a NA Contemporary Romance series and each book will be a standalone focused on different characters. As the name of the series suggests, at least one of the characters in each book will be somewhat famous. The first book is slated to be published later in 2015.

Wow, super sadden on the way this book played out. Well I will definitely not be finishing this series since in went to straight garbage, I skipped my way through this entire read, a lot of stupidity seems to be going on, lots of self sabotage that I really can't stand, and also loss of common sense, and the ending, lol, yeah sometimes more isn't always better. Disappointed deeply.
Man, I don't even know if I want to read the next one that comes out. I'm kinda glad it's not out yet so I don't get tempted just 'cause I wanna know what's going on. I think I'll give it 2.5 stars. The story itself was interesting, but there's so much unimportant blabbering in between the important segments. I feel like with the POV's changing between each chapter makes the book slow down massively. Parts of the story are repeated several times over, and in my opinion, it's just a waste of energy to read over what the reader already knows. The book is also depressing af. No one is ever happy for more than 5 pages, and it always seems like at least two important people are missing from the story for one reason or another.
SPOILER
When Red's captured, the boys are missing from the story. It's not the same when they're involved in the story merely because we get a glimpse at what they're doing or thinking, because the author decided to write from one of the boys' POV. I wanted this book because of the paranormal rh aspect, not because I wanna see them apart 90% of the time. And then in the end, when two of the boys are sucked into another dimension, great, less time with the saucy romance. I assume the next book will be structured the same, referring to the switching of POVs, and honestly, I can't be bothered. I just want the booooys.
Pretty good book but hated that it ended with a hellacious cliffhanger...Anyway I'm looking forward to reading the last book of this series, and really hoping for a HEA.
** BETA REVIEW ** Ms. Soars has outdone herself in that book this one had set a HIGH level for the whole series. Events start almost right after book one ends. And will follow the story known from book one. The events will get DARKER, like a lot DARKER, but this was so needed here that I was devouring every part of the book as events were coming constantly from every place there. Be warned there will be a lot going on - devour that read and make sure that you have time to read it in one sit. Red and her men will have to deal with a lot of things but what secrets lay underneath the surface? Will they manage to solve everything or web of secrets is bigger than anticipated? For sure this read will put you on toes with the number of emotions and events that are there! A GREAT read that will not disappoint for sure when you look for something that is covered in thick layer of plot and events!
I am unsure what happened here... I had opportunities to read and I chose to do other things instead. That is never a good sign. I don't know if: •I was in a great mood when I read the first book •I was in a bad mood when I read the second book (this one) •This book just wasn't as good as the first •A combination of all three. I am going to take a break and come back to this series at another time.
I got my hopes up while reading book one, only to be let down.
Insta love will instantly make me hate the book. Also, our main girl is a wolf for five seconds and suddenly she can lead a pack and a bunch of supes? Yeah, right.
DNF - quit at 47%. Holy mackerel, the first book had a lot of issues, but held my attention enough to want to at least go on to book two especially because of the cliff-hanger ending. This book (2) moved so slowly, I found myself watching Food network on TV instead of reading. I got totally bored & lost interest in what happens to the 4 main characters. To be honest, I didn’t like Red or Tristan at all, even in book 1. Sam & Dante had moments that made them ok, but not good enough to hold the story in book 2. To be honest, character development is shallow, which doesn’t help me like any of them enough to want to read about them. Authors need to quit putting @ssholes as main characters. I don’t see a correlation for a woman to fall for an @sshole, there’s nothing that can convince me of that. It makes the relationship feel fake or forced, not believable at all, even with a “mate bond” for paranormal types. There is so much inner pack drama with all the wolves (& all the supernaturals) in this book, it left a sour taste in my mouth about this story being able to resolve itself without the whole town imploding from the war that’s brewing. Definitely not a fan of the series, & I’m wishing I hadn’t wasted my time reading book 1 & part of 2 now.
At my age, life is to short & my time to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
I thought I might get something more from the second book, the whole "mother of wolves" definitely made me curious but honestly it's just disappointing with how under utilised it remains. It's a trilogy not a series with ten books to hold out on such a major aspect of a story.
Spending more than half of the book separated from the harem doesn't help their barely there romance at all. Absolutely no relationship developments take place other than a reunion sex scene. No developments in the characters either. Tristan is still an asshole despite adding more history to his character or his relationship with Red. Tristan's attitude is nothing appealing and his reasoning for this doesn't help. Sam and Dante were like cardboard cutouts, nothing interesting.
There was a lot going for the bigger picture in the plot, more focus was given on setting the cards right for the end book but it was all over the place and lacked impact for anything. Red is such a blank canvas, no true personality or characterisation other than being the mother of wolves which still hasn't been cleared what the fuck it's supposed to mean. It ends up being boring and nothing that makes you have fun reading through her POV.
AHHH!!!! I’ve been waiting for this book for a VERY long time! Hot. Damn. This was sooo gooodd!! I love how all my favorite series are coming out now. This was so good. I really like how Red is coming into her own. She starting to find her place in the pack which is something I truly enjoy. The whole ‘Mother of Wolves’ is a very interesting bit. We start to take a look at her past and I can’t wait to learn more. Also, the ending! I hope now that Red is starting to understand herself and her heritage she’ll start kicking ass!
This book brings a whole new twist to Red Riding Hood! This book is even better than the last book. I'm glad Billy is 'growing' out of his omega status maybe he'll be a beta! Now that would be something epic! Him and Nina make a awesome couple!!! I can't even believe Nadine is a black jaguar!!!! This book has made my jaw drop more then once and speechless as well! I'm extremely curious about what Kenya is/will be/could be... I can't wait to read the next book and to find out if Tristan & Dante are alright or not.... I'm definitely going to be in a book hangover for this!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I hate cliffhangers! That said I do understand that it is necessary to have them when writing a series. (Doesn't mean I don't like them even more!) This book has a cliffhanger to die with. I got sucked into the book as a whole and didn't realize that I had come to the end ... until I hit the cliffhanger. It's probably good that I don't have another human being living with me. I screamed NO so loudly that my neighbor called me to make sure I was alright.
A better review I cannot give anyone than this. I was pulled in, spun around and left wanting. That's why I deducted a star (it's really a five star but my throat is so sore I can't talk above an alto). Plus, you're making me wait until January for the next book. I guess I'll just have to treat it as a Birthday present.
My mind is racing and omg I need more! Soars has done an amazing job weaving together this supernatural world! So many facets and yet I’m not confused! She writes with such clarity that I can see it all taking place in my mind as I read! Each character in this story has become a favorite of mine and I can’t wait till this talented author gives us more from this new world that has come to feel like home!
Was so excited to read Wolfs Calling. The wait was torture but omg it was so worth it. There were so many twists and turns in this book it had me on the edge of my seat from page 1. I could not put it down. This is one of those books that draw you in and then leave you with a major book hangover. The end ahhhh major cliffhanger!!! This is such a good read and I can’t recommend this series enough. I will be impatiently waiting for book 3. I am sure will be more than worth the wait
OMG, this series is so awesome. I could not put this book down. We have mystery, action, suspense and love and more. I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens. Red is having to accept more about herself, now that she has been captured. Can she get away, can her mates find her? Who is this demon? Why has the other pack turned to the demon and hunters? What is the story behind her ex? What will her mates do to protect and save her? Who is the traitor? Can Red find out the truth? Can she save everyone? I received a free copy for my honest review.
Crimson hollow wolves is a captivating story that will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what happens. Red and her mates face struggles beyond anything they could imagine, the character nadine is a surprising addition who has suffered too much but is going to pop out of her shell more of in book 3. I hope we find out more about nina and billys partnership, and whats with the bear shifters reaction to nadine is it just untrust or could it be more....
Holy Moly!!! This was such an amazing thrilling exciting ride. You can not read this as a standalone book 1 must be read first! From the very first page to the very last you are kept of the edge of your seat it's so exciting. You will have trouble putting this book down
This ends on a cliffhanger. I can not wait for the next book.
Wow... another thrilling story that was jam packed with everything you could ask for in a good story. It had love, betrayal, mutiny, horror, heartache, cunning, old partners and so much more. I cannot wait to read the last book in this series as even though I don't want it to end I desperately need to find out what happened to Tristan and Dante, if they'll find them, did Alex always know about her heritage, can they defeat the Archdemon and most importantly Will they live Happily ever after.
Wolf's Calling is the second book in a suspenseful paranormal trilogy. I loved this book! It's twice as awesome as book one, which was brilliant, and will leave you on the edge of your seat by the end. I cannot wait for the final book. Highly recommended.
Extremely thrilling, action packed adventure filled with danger, dark secrets and blossoming magical powers.... Loved how she is just coming into her own and becoming stronger with each struggle overcome. Was a very entertaining and engaging read.
If you haven't picked up this series yet, you really should. Red has been through so much already and this book is no different. She can't catch a break. The ending of this book will gut you but I can't wait to see how it all ends in the next book!
