I spent endless hours on SimAnt when I was growing up, though I don't remember the background music. (I looked that soundtrack up on Youtube and the reason I didn't remember it seems to be that it was pretty sparse.) There's no reason I can't love this book. It also descibes how termites and bees help us ecologically. This book answers important questions like what do they eat and whether any of them are endangered. (The answer I could understand is only with enough human pollution.)
So I enjoyed this book, even if it was a bit off target from what I was originally planning to research. After all, everything needs to eat something, and many of the bigger animals I have been asked to study generally eat social insects such as these.
