Pippa's Passover Plate is an adorable tale of a mouse getting ready for Passover. Her preparations remind me of helping my Grandma cleaning for Passover, an important part of getting ready for the holiday, and made me feel like a child again. The story's rhymes are lovely and the repeating refrain is something that children will enjoy over and over whether at home or school. Colorfully illustrated to capture even the youngest readers!

This is an adorable book about a mouse named Pippa and her quest to find the misplaced seder plate that she needs for the Passover meal. Told in perfect rhyme and meter, the story clearly shows (without telling) how the seder plate has special significance in the Passover meal. Includes visual backmatter about the contents on the seder plate. Great book!

Oh my, Mouse certainly is on a mission to find his Seder plate for Passover. All throughout the book, I am wondering will he find it? I hope so! He has so many obstacles along the way, but he is brave and pushes on. The fun and quick rhymes match the story so beautifully as we journey with Mouse on his hunt. Lively rhyming picture book about a mouse preparing for Passover Seder. Masterful rhyme and meter make this a rollicking story, great for a read-aloud. Repetition used effectively. A solid story arc creates an interesting, non-didactic way for children to learn about this Jewish holiday. Includes visual back matter with the foods labelled on the Seder plate.

As the title suggests, this book is about celebrating Passover. A cute little mouse (Pippa) confronts some of her worst fears to find her special Seder plate for the celebration.

Recommend for kids who like mice, owls, cats, snakes & goldfish. It’s good for families who celebrate Passover and also for families who don’t celebrate it, but who wish to introduce their kids to a variety of celebrations that are outside of their culture/religion.
