To Tame a Wild Cowboy is the seventh book in Lori Wilde's Cupid, Texas series, and my first read from the series. I didn't have a problem starting with this book though and I would say it could be read as a standalone. But if you like the book as much a I did you will definitely want to go back and read the previous ones.

Now, I'm not usually a big fan of the secret baby trope, but in this book it definitely worked for these characters. I enjoyed getting to see Rhett

Rhett's life was turned upside down when his attorney notifies him, he is a father. The moment he sees his premature daughter in the arms of his childhood baby sitter, Tara, the confusion, the heartache and responsibility of his playboy actions will set in motion more than he could of every imagined. And boy am I glad that we got to go along for the ride.

To Tame A Wild Cowboy is touching and heart-achingly life altering journey that Wilde masterfully pens for us to enjoy.

Lori Wilde can write the hell out of a cowboy romance! I absolutely LOVED this book. It was everything I needed in a story and so much more. To Tame a Wild Cowboy is the 7th book in the Cupid, Texas series but can be read as a complete standalone. In fact, all the books in the series can stand alone so readers who are interested can read them in any order they like. I should warn you though, once you meet these men they w

To Tame a Wild Cowboy was a seductive slow burn romance between a sexy rodeo star and a lovely NICU nurse with tons of history together. Complicated, passionate and yet tender, this latest meant-to-be pairing in Lori Wilde’s Cupid, Texas series was a complete knockout.

I’ve been a fan of Lori Wilde’s work for years, with her hotter than sin cowboys and the beautiful, feisty women who take them down a peg or two. (lol) And this Cupid, Texas series really s

I love this author and I have enjoyed seeing her stories evolve over the years and I have to say that this series, has been a struggle at times, nothing specific about any of the stories that are written, but I have had a more difficult time being engaged by them. At least in comparison to her old

I so love visiting Cupid, Texas. Such wonderful characters live here. Up this time is Rhett Lockhart and Tara Alzate.

I totally loved Rhett. He's such a great guy even if he's not sure he can be. When he finds out that he has a child as scared as he is he decides to be there for his daughter. Since he has spent most of his life running free fatherhood isn't something that comes easy to him. But he does what needs to

A live for the moment, easy going bull rider meets level headed, practical, and serious NICU nurse. These two form a relationship in order to better protect baby Julie. It was so sweet to see them fall in love. Like other Wilde series, there's a sweet old legend involved. I even got teary eyed in this one. Loved the ending and epilogue too!

Cupid, Texas is the home of the wealthy Lockharts and their close friends, the Alzate family. Rhett Lockhart is so close to being named the top bull rider in the country when he finds out that he now has a young daughter. She is in foster care with his childhood friend, Tara Alzate, a RN who specializes in infant care. Rhett wants custody of his daughter but Tara wants to adopt her. There is much more to the story, but I don’t want to ruin it for you! Enjoyed this book, great characters and lots ...more

I LOVE Lori Wilde's books. This lady can tell a cowboy romance story that holds me spellbound all the way to the end and then I want MORE! Her books are just a "little" addictive and I love every one of them.

Rhett Lockhart easily fits the description of a wild playboy that loves the buckle bunnies. He's had his fair share of one night stands but this time there is a tiny little baby that has been left behind. Under that bad boy wild child persona is the heart of a good cowboy that loves his fami

The Lockharts and the Alzates have a long history, with more than one generation of Alzates working on the Lockhart's ranch. The families are friends, their kids grew up together and two Alzate girls have married two of the Lockhart boys, so their lives are intertwined. Rhett Lockhart is a carefree, no-strings rodeo cowboy whose longest commitment is to the eight seconds he spends on the back of a bull. All that changes when he finds out he has a baby daughter who was abandoned at the hospital b ...more

To Tame a Wild Cowboy by Lori Wilde is a super sweet yet sexy read. The tough one nighter cowboy soon hangs up his hat to become the father his baby girl he needs. That alone had me eating up cowboy, Rhett Lockhart. The fact that he's quit his bachelor ways to do what's right for his child melts my heart. I was hooked. He was the bait, and my falling for him was unstoppable.

Thoroughly enjoyed the story of Tara and Rhett. The pages flew by as I was reading. Not your typical “marriage of convenience” romance novel, their love story possesses interesting layers - complicated family dynamics, health issues, and even a lesson on bull riding (the definitions at the beginning of each chapter are fun facts). Lori Wilde writes with a warmth and attention to detail that draws you in, so you really get to know the characters. This book can be read as a stand alone novel. Howe ...more
The Book Junkie Reads . . .
Let us get this show started. Rhett Lockhart one hot, sexy, steamy, cowboy right down to the Stetson and the boots. He's a cowboy down to the bone and his way of loving them and leaving them may have just come to an end with the arrival of a baby and it's foster mother. Things soon turn to what's best for baby.

We find ourselves back in Cupid, TX and the wonderful characters that have been presented to us over the years. Rhett's no stranger to the life of ranching, rodeo shows, screaming women,

Filled with family, warmth and love.
Tara is a wonderful character, as a sister, daughter, granddaughter and NICU nurse. She takes custody of an abandoned premature little girl with many resulting needs. It's a wonderful story that I enjoyed so much.

I loved the book, which I won an ARC of from Lori Wilder. We have Rhett, the bull rider with the laid back attitude about relationships and not wanting anything to do with commitment. Then he learns he’s a father and that his little daughter had been abandoned. Then there’s Tara, the NICU nurse caring for the abandoned child, who also hopes to adopt the baby. She’s shocked when she finds out that she knows the child’s father once the DNA results are in. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’ll ...more

It's been a while since I read a book by Lori Wilde and although I read some of the previous books in the series, I had forgotten, so I was a bit hesitant to start the book. Once I got started I was thrilled. The books, although set in Cupid, TX are all standalones about different people in the town.

Rhett and Tara have a history having grown up together. He's rich and his family owns a large spread while her dad was the foreman on the ranch. She babysat Rhett, even though there's only a 4 year

**Of all the Cupid, Texas books, this ranks as my most favorite.** This was a well-written, gritty story that certainly had its sass. Serious subject matter: actions have consequences. Even though they have a history of sorts, and as much as Tara wanted to deny it, Rhett and Tara have the chemistry and understanding of each other. As for Julie, her situation could have been heartbreaking, but in the end it worked out for all, and she will be loved by the Lockharts and Alzates.

Good book. In previous books, Rhett has been the laid-back, fun-loving bull rider who flits happily from rodeo to rodeo and buckle bunny to buckle bunny. Commitment is not a word in his vocabulary except when it comes to his bid for the bull riding championship. He gets the shock of his life when he finds out that one of his one-night stands resulted in a baby girl who has been abandoned by her mother. He fell hard for little Julie, and though uncertain of his abilities, he was determined to be ...more

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy.

I totally fell in love with Julie, Tara and Rhett. Rhett had a one-night stand with Rhona and she became pregnant. She was only 21 and had little Julie two months early after a 14 hour labor. Being young and unable to cope, she abandons her baby in the hospital as she leaves in the middle of the night. She named 4 men that could be possible fathers. The winning bull-rider that was named the father was Rhett Lockhart. Rhett

Lori Wilde's To Tame a Wild Cowboy is an interesting love story. The two main characters, NICU nurse Tara Alzate, and professional bull rider Rhett Lockhart, grew up together on Rhett's family's ranch. Tara's mom was the Lockhart's housekeeper and Tara actually babysat for Rhett way back when. In addition, Tara and Rhett are in-laws.

While on tour, having the best season of his career, Rhett finds out that he is a Daddy to a preemie named Julie. Coincidentally, Tara is Julie's foster mother

I was very intrigued right from the start. So many questions popped into my head and I had to keep reading because I wanted those answers. Keeping in mind this is fiction, it just felt like it was someone's true story. It's not all roses and I sure didn't care for some of the answers, such is life. I still liked this journey!

Bull rider Rhett Lockhart is in his prime, riding bulls at the biggest shows, claiming the top prizes, and enjoying the attention from the ladies... maybe a little too much. He has a rule when it comes to his entanglements with women, no-strings only. This wild cowboy doesn't have time for love or settling down... or does he?

When his attorney contacts him and lets him know that one of his no-strings nights has lead him to become a father of a newborn little girl, that's just been abandoned at a
