Good Read
A nice story,I thought it was a little slow.But it was still a good story.It had something for , suspense,thrills and romance.

Good story, great writing. The protagonist is an inflexible, controlling bitch (until the end, of course), but I see how this works for the story. This line (location 1720 according to my Kindle) jerked me out of the story and I almost stopped reading. "All that was over now. Forever." The protagonist's thought sounded final, all hope for a HEA ending is burning in hell now. I've never read this author so I didn't know if she plays by the 'rules' of romance. Only the fact that it was published by Harlequin gave me some assurance that it wouldn't end in disaster. But I lost interest in the characters for the rest of the story, only regaining it in the epilogue, and even then the ending was only a relief rather than happy. Note to self--NEVER give the reader such absolute feelings that this story is a lost cause. A simple question or refusal can pull this off. "Was it all over now? It couldn't be lost forever."

I enjoyed this novel thoroughly. Was just over 3/4 of the way through when I discovered the mystery of who Carinne's father was. Only thing I wish is that when the author was changing from one person's view/story to another person's, that there was a clear separation - like with ***** or something. Kind of sucked to be reading a sentence and then next line/page was a different viewpoint/story.
