I remember being scared of the dark when I was younger.  This book is cute and helps kids out with this problem.  We don't have to be scared of the dark.  Cute book and I liked the illustrations. *This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.*

Do you have a child that is struggling with going to sleep in the dark? Parents all across the country are facing this issue every single night. When you are a kid with an active imagination it is really easy to dream up monsters in the night. This book helps easy children's fears with delightful little rhymes.

The creation of this book came from memories of being scared as a child. The author dives into the memories of those moments. We all have them, I had many of them as a child. S

In Scared of the Dark, author Caroline Thornton uses rhyming and a mishmash of interesting illustrations to help young readers who are afraid when nighttime comes. The author starts by acknowledging and being empathetic to the fears the readers may have, and then she goes on to give some explanations and thinking strategies that can help assuage any scared feelings. Additionally, there is a second-layer message that there are very real fears for some children, and that when those "monsters" make ...more

Scared of the Dark Review

I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Review done my son Azrael Hiler - Age 6

I thought that it helped kids
and let them know that nobody
has to be afraid of the dark because
there's no monsters that live
on earth. I think that monsters,
or aliens, don't belong here.
I think the book is really colorful.
I think it was a pretty book.
I like rhyming because it's kind
of cool to me. And I t

Through rhyme and lovely illustrations, this book takes young readers' fear of the dark and shows that all those things which go bump in the night might not be quite as scary as they seem.

The minute the first page is opened, it's clear that this is a book created from the heart. The four line rhymes on each page are for the most part beautifully written, bringing the words to life in a way young readers can identify with. This book takes the fear of the dark seriously and then, with
Whispering Stories
Scared of the Dark is a young children’s rhyming book aimed at helping children who have a fear of the dark, to explain to them that there is nothing to be frightened of, and that they are brave children.

The words flow naturally and are easy for children to read and understand. I commend the author for what she has tried to do.

However I do have one issue with this book, and after testing it out on five different children, ranging in age, my issue has been proved right. Th

I was given a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Scared of the Dark is an illustrated book by Caroline Thornton. It is a rhyming book that aims to dispel any worries and fears about the dark. As someone who isn’t a huge fan of the dark, I found this book helpful. The pages were colourful and it was written in good prose that it was easy and fluent to read. The book is written in a way that encourages the reader to realise that they are stronger than they think, and t
