Nate Temple is on the hunt to right a wrong. Mordred – King Arthur's son – has escaped from Hell. And it's all Nate's fault.

Pro-Tip: Don't let escapees rob the dreaded Nine Souls on their way out of Hell's Gates. It makes the escapee just an itsy-bitsy bit stronger.

But what are the Nine Souls? And what does St. Louis

You know, when you find that the series in the 10 th book it's the same old, same old.....that's not this series. This an absolute thrill ride with snarky comments, innuendo, fantastic magic, and an epic ending. Nate will see what Mordreds been up to, and who the nine souls are, as he navigates his self proclaimed "Kingship" to keep his city safe. Then there is Carl. Seriously, Carl. Wow. You need to read this series. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book for an honest review. ...more

Horseman is by far the very best Nate Temple book yet. So many things come to light. So many questions answered. So much love comes out between Nate and the people that help him get through his life. He goes through many emotional trials in this one. There's no way you can read it and remain aloof. Half of the time I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or scream in fury at the top of my lungs.

Nate's story truly begins to unfold. Finally he meets with Mordred and all the anger and pain comes to the

When Nate broke out of Hell, he inadvertently released Mordred, bastard son of King Arthur. Now Mordred has come to St Louis and nothing good can come of that.
It also seems that Anubis wasn't too happy about the duo's escape. Mordred far outpowers Nate so he'll have to be creative.
Nate's in for the fight of his life, but that doesn't stop Silvers from including family drama and humor

Another wild ride through the Templeverse from Shayne Silvers.

Nate Temple accidentally allowed Mordred, bastard son of King Arthur, to escape from Hell. So now he has to manage somehow to send him back there. But Mordred, in the process of his escape, somehow managed to abduct the Nine Souls, particularly strong magical souls, to go as part of him, so he is not going to be easy to defeat.

In his quest to conquer Mordred, Nate manages to travel through most of the far-flung areas of his own univer

Just...WOW! The escalation found herein is absolutely mind-blowing. I've made quips before regarding how addictive this series is, how my brain has track marks, how this series is a huge reason why I am a book junkie, etc. Then Horseman comes out. Innumerable laughs, tears, cheers, jeers, and expletives of disbelief later, I have run out of words. So many pieces from the past click together. So many new questions rear their heads. We knew Mordred was going to be bad news, especially after steali ...more

This is a long book so make sure you get comfy and have snacks with in arms reach! I really felt for Nate in this one as he was at a bit of a cross roads with all sides of his life basically pushing in on him, he has to try and keep his sh*t together along with try and keep everyone safe while he tries to deal with Mordred who is one sneaky bugger. He is also dealing with his relationship with Callie, a request to return to fae which brings back further memories along with a dream encounter with ...more

Nate has been through the ringer, and this book doesn’t do him any favors. The nonstop action keeps you on the edge of seat, with no chance to take a breath. We have many surprises, we see many characters, and so many things happen to keep you glued to the pages. One thing I like about this author’s books is that they are generally filled with little things to surprise and intrigue the reader. Easter eggs, hints of future events, etc. Unfortunately, I tend to read too fast, and I’m sure I miss q ...more

Hope can be a powerful force. It can make Gods out of Men and the Despair of the Apocalypse seems insignificant. Life is all about choices. Sometimes the choices are all bad, but a choice still needs to be made. How we present ourselves in public involves wearing of Masks. Another great read by Shayne Silvers that will go down as legendary

Well, crap.

I guess that's what I get for putting it down in writing that Silvers is maintaining rather than escalating, he just takes it as a "hold my beer" moment. Or maybe a "come at me, bro".

Nate Temple has been jumping from one hodgepodge mess to another in a desperate struggle to keep up with everything going bump in the night, from crowning himself a King in necessity to juggling the emerging memories of two different lifetimes and the resulting ripples they cause in his powers. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

No spoiler that the Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse rides in this latest installment of the Nate Temple Chronicles...or does he? As we have come to expect, Shane Silvers, wordsmith extraordinaire, takes Nate and his crew on a whiplash inducing roller coaster as Nate must face the consequences of his actions from his previous trip to Hell. He finds out quickly that not showing up at his new job as a tour guide to the fiery inferno is not an option. But Nate has

At this point. Nate is back from hell and so is an unexpected person. The black cloud / souls are here in one person who is Mordred. Master/King Nate has claimed St. Louis as his country. Mordred is planning to take it after he has revenge for things which happened to him in the past.
Now we have friends and many secrets are revealed as the story continues. We must consider Falco’s baby named by Alex, the four Horseman, Matthias and to add Nate’s many friends. But the surprising person w

Loved it!

There was a LOT of action going on here, I loved it! I felt like this book was more of a bridge, setting the way for the next book and its revelations. I would have loved for it to have continued for a little longer, there are so many new questions and mysteries and it feels like we've left a lot of things up in the air from the previous book, then added on more things than we've actually solved, though that's not a negative, it honestly just makes me more eager to read on to find ever

I loved this book that captured my attention in the first chapter. This book is fast paced and fascinating. There's never a dull moment with Nate and then there's the exciting places he visits, intentional or not. Put your feet up and get comfy, once you enter Nate's world, you're not going to want to put this book down. I love the great descriptions and the intriguing characters involved in his stories. This story is action-packed, with magic, danger, Mordred, vampires, Fae, wizards, monsters, ...more

This book was my favorite Nate book so far. The only thing keeping me from having full on dt’s is knowing Callie’s book will come out next month.
So many feels in this book. Lot of laugh out loud moments, A whole lot of action too. I totally adore Nate in this book. His interactions with his friends are always great. Seeing how he is with Alex is heartwarming. I totally treasure his times with Callie. Need more of those times.

Hope is what it’s all about.

Another masterpiece by the master himself, Mr. Silvers. This story enchants, pulls at your heartstrings, teases, tickles your funny bone, takes you for a rollercoaster ride, and makes you beg for the next book in the series. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, each book in the series is better than the last. When the master of words (Mr. Silvers) interacts with the master of wit (Nate Temple), the result is an explosion of rollicking good fun. This book can be

So while so many series tend to go off the boil as they progress, this is not the case here. Nate's journey continues and once again Mr Silvers keeps the story vibrant and very funny at times. I have cried numerous times during this book because I was laughing so hard! (Embarrassing in the doctors waiting room but hey ho).
This series and both spin off's (Feathers and Fire - Callie's world and Phantom Queen - Quinn's world) are fantastic 'feel good' books, they are exciting, funny and they move f

Excellent series

I stumbled upon the first Nate Temple novel by accident, and have devoured them. The plot lines are interesting and often surprising. The characters are well-developed and wonderfully flawed beings. As Nate grew in power and notoriety in the alternate Earth where he resides, I started to worry that he and the story would become boring, like I have seen with overly powerful rpg characters that you eventually put away and save to stir up new campaigns. I am delighted to report that

Another head spinning tale

Just when you think that you have some sort of handle on Nate Temple, whoa, major plot twist! Nate thinks he has to solve a simple problem out returning Mordred and the nine souls he stole to hell. Not so fast. When has anything ever been simple for Nate Temple? Fortunately, he has plenty of friends and allies in his corner. In fact, that was one of the things that I enjoyed most about this book, watching how all of the people Nate gathered around himself in the earlier

Twists and Turns

A straight read through, worth not sleeping! Nate finally gets some answers (& a lot more questions). I loved seeing the growth of Alex, and his relationship with Nate. While this is book 10, it's also part of a 3 book arc according to the author, so it wasn't completely surprising how things stand with Mordred. However, I NEVER expected the twist in the last few chapters (nope, not spoiling it).

Waiting until end of year for the next Nate book is going to be torture. At least we

Excellent Story!

This one is Epic! Through the series we've watched Nate grow from an arrogant, trust fund, pain in the rear, to someone much more mature, even if still a bit arrogant - he kinda has to be when dealing with these monsters, legends, myths, gods and general Evil do'ers!
Some long standing questions are answered and new ones are presented...
Absolutely love the Easter Eggs and Rabbit Holes that Shayne leaves for us through-out the book!

Those that have followed Nate Temple's adventures up to this point know what to expect. A supernatural baddie gets released on St Louis, and Nate and his buddies join forces to fight the good fight. Along the way, there is snarkiness, jokes, and maybe some hints as to Nate's mysterious past. This book has all of that and more. Nate has released a big baddie from the Underworld, and allowed said baddie to become super-powered with some of the souls that said baddie stole on his way out. Now Anubi ...more

Honestly how do you follow up on a trip to Hell? Well, if you are Nate, you take on a magical being that terrifies people older, and seemingly more powerful, than he is. All you have to do is be clever enough. This book pulls Quinn's world, Callie, and Nate together beautifully. And the emotional rollercoaster of a man, who wasn't a father from the birth of a child, realizing it doesn't matter a fig. He would die, or kill, to protect the child that is nevertheless his. Excitement, drama, family ...more

Horseman: A Nate Temple Supernatural Thriller- Book 10

Another masterpiece by Shayne Silvers!! This story keeps you glued to Nate's crazy life from start to finish. Most all his old friends show up as well as a new enemy! This new nasty wants to take over St. Louis and even the world. Nate is between a rock and a hard place and must fight for not only his life, but those of his friends and his city. I absolutely loved this book. Don't get me wrong I've enjoyed this series a lot, but this was my favorite book in the series by a lot. I guess I've just really liked the idea of the horseman and of Hate becoming a horseman. In fact I wish Shane would branch this series out starting a horseman series like he branches out and started both a Callie Series and Quinn Series. Both of which I also like very much, but I think a horseman series would just be incredible. That being said I'm loo

This is why I can't sleep at night.

Mr. Shayne Silvers is a conniving, tricky, wonderful, asshole. The story picks up once more, with flawless synchronization between multiple series and threads to make a tapestry of wonder and fable, the likes of which I haven't encountered before. Read this book, but be warned that you will want to read every other book in all of his series over again to see all of the intricate and seemingly random hints that had been left along the way to where we are now. Shayne Silvers is an epic storyteller in s class by himself. His “Temple-verse” of Nate Temple Supernatural Thrillers is an astounding achievement both because each book is so wonderful and because it’s just amazing that the author can somehow keep up the pace. So now we have “Horseman: A Nate Temple Supernatural Thriller Book 10 (The Temple Chronicles)”. I’m not going to summarize this book, as the publisher did a perfectly good enough job of it. I love the Templeverse, and everyone in it! Thank the Goddess, Gods, Horsemen, Angels and all the Heroes and Ascended Masters for this series and the amazing, and thankfully, very prolific writers of this universe of book series. Bless Shayne Silvers for giving us another action packed, well written tale that grabs you from the first words and straps you into a roller coaster of fights, humor, and Machiavellian paranormal political maneuvering. Excellent! A MUST REA
