I’ve never been in love.

I’ve never had an orgasm, but I’ve faked plenty.

I want to experience love.  Real, passionate love.

I don’t want to die.

It’s funny what blurts out of your mouth when the plane you’re on is going down, and I didn’t hold back with my seat mate when my plane decided to crash.

My hysterical confessions didn’t faze the muscular stranger that sat beside me.

The title does not do this book justice... READ THIS BOOK!

I went into this assuming it would be a enemies with benefits secret relationship. I am here to tell you that the title of this book does not do it justice. Maybe it should be called “emotional, hot, sweet, romantic, get you feeling all the feels, hockey player and owners daughter puck secretly in this amazing, well written, sexually tense romance.” Ok that made zero sense as a title or as a sentence, but I don’t care because this book wa

Odette Stone is heating it up with PUCK ME SECRETLY, the first book in the Vancouver Wolves Hockey series. The plane experiences technical difficulties and plummets. On their way down, Rory confesses that she has never had an orgasm. The man promises that if they survived, he will give her one. Heck of A Story!!! I screamed, I yelled, I smiled, and got fuzzy warm feelings for Max (& whatshername). It has hockey and plenty of romance. The scene about the plane was terrifying yet Max made it different. Great scene and set the feeling I had for him unwavering.

I'm very impressed with author as it is my first book by her. Hopefully, more good reading to come!!

This read took an interesting turn. First it's all "ooh an interesting take on the meet cute, some drama that'll foster a connection, and then they must keep it all secret with the tension at play" - and yes, this happens but goodness did everything else take an unexpected turn.

I'm a fan of turning the we work together trope slightly on its head with the women being the power player...only it didn't quite work here (view spoiler)
This was a good book. Rory and Max first meet on a plane. Which was about to crash. She works for her parents who own a hockey team. When she returns home she is surprised to see that Max is a hockey player and plays now for that team. Her parents were hard for me to like at first. I was glad by the end they came to their senses because Rory and Max deserved to be happy.

I will admit I thought this would be a quick flirty with some possible steam read, it turned into a lot more substance than the write up leads you to believe. Some very real and heavy secrets are dealt with in this story and I will caution that there is a sexual trigger alert.

The beginning of the book starts out light and it quickly builds from there. Rory is thrown into a situation after situation from her controlling father. He either doesn’t know, doesn’t care or believes that if she survives

Beautiful romance with professional hockey background
Excellent story. I loved the characters who must do absolutely nothing despite their attraction because they want to protect the other. They appreciate each other so much that no of them wants to try anything or the other would loose everything. I also really enjoyed discovering the basics of professional hockey, betrayal, manipulation, and money. Once started, I could not put the book down before the end.

Rory desperately is not ready to go home to Vancouver after being in New York. She was dreading going home and having to work with her dad for a year. That was their agreement for her going away to college.
Rory was sitting at the bar waiting on her flight home. When she noticed a strong "not a baby man" like she usually dates, but she couldn't take her eyes off of him. Rory waits until the last minute to board the plane. When she finds her spot she's next to the guy from the bar.

This book is a lovely sports themed romantic suspense read.

Rory, recent college grad, takes a plane home to start her "internship" with her father who owns the Vancouver Wolves, a NHL team, among other businesses. While waiting in the airport lounge she encounters Max, who unbeknownst to her is a new transfer payer to the team. As the story progresses they survive some dangerous situations, prove themselves capable of rising to the occasion, fight for what is right, deal with each other's emotio

Fantastically developed characters and great plot! Excellent read!

I simply enjoyed The story is just amazing. There is mystery, there are lies and there is hidden past that unravels and creates a lot of drama and unexpected events. Drama galore and whole bunch of other emotions. The story line is perfectly though trough and the writing is sooooo amazing that I couldn't put the book down. This was the first full length read I have read by Odette Stone and I was wonderfully surprised. My favorite genre is sports romance especially when it's centered around those pucking hot hockey bad boys but I am not being biased with my rating because I read four hockey sports romance books by different authors over the last 3-4 weeks and every single one, including Puck Me Secretly, was tremendous and worthy of 5-Star ratings. This was a long, full length read, 400+ pages, but was so well writ ...more

I really enjoyed this story set in the world of professional hockey. I loved the early encounter between Rory and Max on the airplane as they prepared for an emergency landing. It was fun and flirty with lots of laugh out loud moments! Rory was smart, determined, and hard-working. I admired her courage to forge ahead despite the fact that so many plotted her downfall. I enjoyed the slow-burn of the romance between Rory and Max and their struggles to keep a professional relationship despite their ...more

Rory and Max meet on an airplane that ends up crashing. They have a connection that I appreciate because they immediately can understand more from each other than just the words they are speaking. Their non-verbal communication is actually intoxicating.
I love watching Rory gain confidence in her new role after returning home. Reading about her evolution from just obeying to get by and actually standing for her beliefs is amazing.
Learning about Max's background, I went from feeling like he was a

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Rory Ashford and Max. Rory is coming home to work in the family business after graduating from college. A part of her is looking forward to the challenge another part is dreading the fact that she needs to be the son her father never had. Max is literally skating on think ice. If he can't make it with this club he is out of the league. However when the plane they are both on goes do

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this hockey based love story. I have not found sports romance to be one of my favorites but this one stands out as one of the better ones. This is a full length story that will shock you with how easily and quickly you are able to read it. I became so engrossed in Max and Rory's story that the time just slipped by. I laughed out loud, cried a little, cursed a lot and even found myself holding my breath a couple of times when getting ready to turn ...more

This was most certainly a worthy piece to read as I promptly and immensely submerged into the story of Rory and Max. The opening and closing chapters were a great touch to the insight of the sports world; as a reader, it truly endeared the characters and their world and brought forth great characterization of hockey although keeping it a bit neutral without the heaviness of it overall. In their first meeting, Rory and Max survive a plane crash and their bond is strengthened in knowing that while ...more

When her flight crashes and her savior is the hot stranger next to her on the plane, she takes a chance with a single night of passion. I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. Loved this story about Rory and Max. She's the daughter of the GM from the Vancouver wolves and he's a battle hard hockey player that keeps getting into trouble. when the plane taking them to Vancouver suddenly crashes, both Rory and Max take it as a sign to love life to the fullest. When she gets scared that night she seeks comfort in his arms. So image their surprise when the first day of training comes and she's find out he is in the team a ...more

I absolutely loved this book!
From the start was laughing out loud at Rory panicking on the plane & then there was Max’s sexy calmness. They were hot & sweet together with plenty of chemistry.
As fantasy bf material Max is pretty perfect - fit as, hot, bad boy rep but good really, talented ( on the ice & in the bedroom ;) intense..
As well as the romance the story had me so hooked. There was plenty of drama & twists & turns from start to finish. The only thing I didn’t like wa

Oh my my... This was a real emotional roller coaster.

Rory is an only daughter of the owner of Vancouver Wolves hockey team and wants her to be his right hand. Max is a hockey player who is very badly portrayed through the media. The meet on a plane and he is there to calm her down during the crash. And they also have a moment there.
After they both go to Vancouver they meet in hockey arena and she is actually his boss. After all the games and meeting they have together they seem to be drawn toget

Not what I expected. This book is romantic, sexy, intense, and so full of drama it's crazy.

Rory and Max's very first encounter is intense and drama filled. It continues down that path for most of the book. This book has deceit, danger, secrets, subterfuge, jealousy, hate, and sheer craziness. I was exhausted by the end.

I didn't like Rory's mother. Even after I found out why she didn't like Max, I still didn't like her. All the people conspiring against Max got to be a bit much. I'm glad that Ro

This book is definitely not a quick read there is plenty to sink your teeth into but even though it is longer than most books on the market it doesn't drag at all in fact it clips along at a great rate but the extra pages allows to become really invested in the love of Max and Rory.

There meeting was drama filled to say the least she is been forced back to her egotistical family and she sits next to Max on the plane when the plane goes down you just know these two are in for the ride of a lifetim

I loved this plot. It keep me interested and invested in the characters even the ones that I wasn’t crazy about ie Rory and her dad. Most of the book Rory and her dad annoyed the hell out of me. Rory was a whinny coward who had no back bone to stand up to her father who was a egotistical bully but the oh so lovable Max made up for them. What’s not to love about Max. Sexy, kind, compassionate, loyal and so on and so on. There are never enough adjectives to praise Max. I stayed involved with the s ...more

I loved this! I selected this on a whim. I read a lot and I am always searching for new authors and this so so much better than the blurb suggests. I now need to read the authors back catalogue and I will be book stalking from here on in.

This is a great book, written really well, that just happens to be a HEA hot romance that has you hooked from the start. You are going to struggle to put this one down. There are some pretty great reviews with spoilers if you need them, but

Odette Stone lives in beautiful Vancouver, BC. She writes Contemporary Romance novels but when it comes to reading, she devours pretty much everything.

When you can pull Odette away from her book boyfriend, you might find her walking along the sea wall, biking on paths near the beach, drinking copious amounts of coffee or being a general pest to her real-life boyfriend, who’s nickname for her is W
