Bearback Lumberjack is a thoroughly enjoyable read. This is very amazing, captivating book with intriguing characters that makes it so interesting to read. It's one of the paranormal dating agency series, that is Angela and Jagger's story. Liv Brywood has created a some great characters. Angela wants a man who knows how to use his wood. A lumberjack would be perfect. Jagger doesn't want a permanent relationship but his brother is pushing him to try. The story is such a charming, sexy suspenseful and so enjoyable. The characters come to life they seem so realistic and entertaining. The story makes you want to read all of the other characters stories that are featured in this book. But then I'm a great Fan of making stories into series that allows you keep in touch with the previous characters as well as the characters in the present book. What a delightful written story that's beautiful blended with drama and sex. I literally found myself laughing at times; but most importantly, I felt love in every single chapter. No matter the drama, humor or their history, this is a beautiful perfect couple. I can't get enough of reading about bear shifters and Liv Brywood didn't disappoint me.I love to read books that have fantasy and real life moments. I feel Liv did a wonderful job of this. If you enjoy love stories with a little paranormal romance twists you will enjoy reading this story.
I recommend this AWESOME Story to any reader who enjoy reading a Awesome romance.

Bear shifter Angela is sick of living in a city and desperately needs to get out in the country. She also needs a man who can be a mate to her and make sure that her needs are met. So she goes to Gerri Wilder and registers with her. As part of that, she agrees to take 2 weeks off her job and go stay with a man in the middle of the woods to see if they can get along - after all looking at his picture he is incredibly hot. Bear shifter Jagger is sick and tired of his brother nagging him to find a mate - he was in love once and it fell apart so he is not prepared to try again - he'll carry on alone thank you! But to appease his brother he signed up with an agency and has agreed for a woman to stay with him. He'll just cope for the time she is there, avoid her as much as he can, then send her back. But when he meets Angela his bear goes wild and insists she is his mate - the problem is he is far too scared to fall in love with anyone again. Can fate decide their destiny?
I loved this story. Jagger was so determined to not fall in love with Angela and in the end, he just could not fight the mating bond and his growing addiction to her. I loved the way he reacted when she went for a walk and the weather changed and I think that was when his downfall started. Well written, this was a fairly quick and easy read that definitely involved a lot of emotions and conflicted thinking for Jagger. Contains explicit sexual content.

What an amazing story. Of course I just love when stories have shifter dating agencies.
Jagger was an interesting character. Even though he contacted Gerri Wilder he was not really ready to find love. He was not ready to move on. Not ready to give someone a chance.
I loved Angela she was one determined bear shifter. She was determined to win Jagger. I love how her bear communicated with her that Jagger was their mate. She was willing to give love a chance.
I love that these two were both bear shifters and that their bears recognized the importance the other was to them.
Jagger had an image of what he wanted his mate to be like and Angela was everything he could dream. I love the part Gerri Wilder played in these two getting together. Almost fell out of my seat laughing at chicken shifter. Sorry have to read the book to find out more.

Not what I expected...
That might be a contributing reason to me not enjoying the read.
Both MCs were very single minded about their likes and dislikes. The story also lacked backstory. I might have liked it better if that had been more fleshed out. I might have understood more why they acted the way they did. I mean what was the deal with Jagger and his ex? Well, I couldn't tell you because there was only vague references to a past relationship that scarred Jagger so badly it made him bitter enough to swear of relationships all together.
I would have wanted THAT story and a more fleshed out story of Angela's past to make sense of how they reacted to each other. I wanted the relief that comes after reading a tragic backstory that eventually ends well for the poor soul!
What I got was a halfassed vague background and a weak story with a vague build up of a relationship.

A fun, fast read! This story will captivate you with it's simplicity and easy to read text. I loved how strong Angela was, how ready she was to do whatever she needed to do to give herself a chance at happiness. Jagger was frustrating and sweet at the same time, scared to risk his heart again. The story moves pretty quickly and you are cheering for Angela the whole time, because she put herself out there honestly, and you have to respect that. It's a fast read, I read it in one sitting, but I don't think I would have put it down even if it were a longer story. I love the Gerri Wilder story lines!

Drama and spice! A fun story with great characters. This was a fun read that pulled me in fast. It had some great twist to the story. I didn’t want it to end. Don't miss it.

Perfection...Loved it
This was a very cute story and I couldn't find any fault any it. Couple of times I thought it was going to bring me to tears as they were trying to find each other. It's always the men that like to be difficult when it comes to love, but then once they are heartbroken it's hard for them to heal.
I love the things that were revealed as the story started out and I know that you guys will enjoy the story too.

An easy enough plot and characters that can be read quickly. Angela and Jagger are the main characters and really have no issues except one is looking for love and permanency while the other seems to be running from it. Barely any conflict and wished there were more friction to have Jagger realize all females are different in the way they carry themselves, think, eat, and dress. Not a lot of highs or lows emotionally for these two so the story was straightforward.

This is an OK shifter romance, but I felt like the couple was more in lust than in love. He was just too afraid of getting involved with anyone after his last relationship ended so badly -- I didn't buy that he would get past that enough to fall in love in only 2 weeks. But if you are looking for a quick shifter romance, with plenty of sexy times, this is a good choice. Just don't expect a lot of romance.

Enjoyable story and likeable characters but lacking in depth for me. Feel like we just skimmed the surface with these two.
I really cannot understand why Jagger was so anti relationship, he really had not been badly done by his ex girlfriend. I expected some horror story about being cheated on or stolen from and the real reason was completely insipid.

I love that Liv Brywood Carried on with kindle world Milly Tiaden PDA series.
I like the beginning of the book but did struggle with how negative Jagger was especially when he’d contact Geri to try and find a mate.
In end it all worked out and they both got HEA but I do feel jaggers heart wasn’t in it for a lot of the book.

***Bad ‘Tude Bear*** I enjoyed reading this story. It pulled at the heart feels, in a few different ways. It’s hard to move on after being destroyed, it’s hard wanting to. I get it, only all to well. Yup, hit way to close to home, but I still enjoyed reading it and rooting for them. They both won, and got their own perfect HEA.

Both main characters struck me as being immature and/or TSTL. The first person voice comes across as stilted, kind of like reading an old Penthouse Forum letter. The pacing of the story jumps around a lot and I was left frequently feeling as if I'd missed something.
