This book had me from page one. Saona is tired, after catching her cheating husband in the act she goes to Boston and while there she meets Jax. Things click between them right from the start and it is he who helps her get through her divorce although her mother wants her to remain with her cheating ex! As these two heats up Jax inner voice starts to listen to others about him not being good enough to be with her. Will he give in to the naysayers or will he man up and take the opportunity of a l ...more

It only took one book for me to become extremely addicted to J.L. Lora with her talented writing style, and even more books later, I don't even look at any sort of synopsis before I know with certainty that I have to read it. Some Nights is another amazing story with a heroine, Saona, that I couldn't love more if I tried, not to mention a secondary made up of her bad a** sister who kept me laughing hard. It all starts when good girl, Saona, decides that she's had enough when she catches her husb ...more

When the first page of a book starts with a drink recipe then you know it’s going to be good.  Some Nights is a great story about betrayal, heartbreak and finding the one that you are truly meant to be with.  With the drinks flowing and the sex hot and heavy this story will leave you wanting one of those cool COCKtails. I give Some Nights by J.L. Lora 5-stars

I absolutely love J.L. Lora's writing!

I fell in love with J.L. Lora when I read The Summer I Loved You. So, when I discovered she was releasing Some Nights, I couldn't wait to start it. Lora has a way of luring you in with characters that are realistic and easy to relate to.

Saona was a very strong-minded character, and I liked her right off. Finally reaching her limit with her cheating husband, Saona stood her ground and moved on. She refused to let him take her down. Though she met Jax at a v

Emboldened by the sexual chemistry rampant between them, Saona makes Jax a proposition, which leads her down a path she didn't know she needed. As Jax struggles to be the man he believes Saona needs, doubts plague their relationship. Is their new relationship strong enough? Or will it be reduced to some nights?

It’s not often a try a new to me author I have never heard of before, but something compelled me to open up Some Nights. The main character was of Hispanic decent which is something I have not encountered much in the romance novels I read.. but as a Venezuelan I felt connected to Saona in her mannerisms. While the story had some great elements, a Very wealthy Hispanic woman, a sexy bartender, an interesting storyline. The execution fell a little flat for me. I was disappointed in the ending. Some Nights by J. L. Lora surprised me. At first I felt like it was going to be a book that I would end up putting down. I gave it a chance and boy am I glad I did. This book was out of this world. I LOVED it. Soana is amazing. She has been let down and pushed around but she no longer wants to be that woman. She takes her life into her own hands and finds Jax who opens a whole new world for her.

Hot,sexy, funny, and a little bit of drama. I liked this one,but it was something very new from this author.
I liked Saona and Jax. They were very interesting couple. So different, but they were just right for each other.
However this book had some of the things that I just don't like and can't find excuse for.
But other than that it was a really nice read. This author knows how to make you swoon over her male characters and Jax was really swoon-worthy. I really liked Saona's sister and I do wish we

Saona (beautiful name!) is having a bad day, as in finding her husband cheating on her kind of bad day. So when she meets Jax (yes, like Jax Teller, one of fiction's best characters, EVER!) at the hotel bar she's kinda bitchy to him. It doesn't last, though, the bitchiness, because she's in fact, a sweetheart, and she apologizes sweetly, and Jax notices. Had noticed her since she first walked into the bar where he works his second job. He's surprised, though, when she propositions him, but he's
