I received a copy of Snatch Girl by L J. Kane from Goodreads for my honest review. This book is about a kidnapping of a young girl. This was a fast paced thriller and I did like that part of the book but there were things I didn't like as well. I didn't realize that there was very adult content in this book, which I am not partial to. The content was a bit extreme for me and I struggled with the relationship that Ellie had with one of the kidnappers, Darren. I was so frustrated that Ellie had th ...more

First things first, this book is for adults only and due to its content it may offend some of those.  The story, set on Dartmoor and Salisbury, is about the abduction of an 18-year-old girl who is subsequently raped and held captive for a ransom by two men.  Jon Braddon is sadistic and violent with the victim Ellie to the point that the get away driver, Darren Broderick decides enough is enough and goes on the run with her himself. Not that he is letting her go until the ransom for her is paid, ...more
Rounded down to 2.5 stars. More horror than thriller I felt. Review to follow.

I was really looking forward to reading "Snatch Girl" by L.J. Kane however I found the book far too irritating. I know that Ellie was snatched but then the word Snatched was peppered far too much throughout the book "He snatched up the keys" "She snatched up the towel etc etc.... As for the Australian character, he added the word "beaut" to almost every sentence he uttered throughout the book.
With good editing this could have stepped up from the Mills and Boon type story and into a good psycholo

Recommends it for: Anyone who likes thrillers
I received a promotional ebook of "Snatch Girl". This is definitely a thriller, extremely fast paced. Snatch Girl is a little more on the "50 Shades of Grey" than I prefer but gripping and hard to put down. Ellie is kidnapped right from the start and the action never stops. Her captor Braddon is savage and sadistic. He will never let her go and is always one step ahead of her. Her other captor, Darren, grabs Ellie and runs. Is she better off? Read to find out but give yourself time or an alarm i ...more

Thrill a minute!

This very fast paced thriller never let up until the very end. She's abducted by a raging lunatic then abducted again and held for ransom while on the run from the lunatic. All you need is some scary music while you read and you'll sleep with one eye open for days.

Snatch girl by LJ Kane is a fast-paced psychological thriller that follows the kidnapping of eighteen-year old Ellie. Taken by a sadistic killer and his driver, Ellie is thrust into a living nightmare of torture, abuse, and mind games.

Kane’s novel is both explicit and visceral, a story that is bold, defiant, and compelling. An edgy thriller that takes the reader on a journey through the minds of a sadistic killer, his henchmen, and the victim who finds herself preyed on by both.

L.J. Kane drives up the suspense in Captor Captive! After being rescued from her kidnapper, Ellie discovers that the man who liberated her has ulterior motives. Now she must decide who she can trust as she attempts to survive the night. I really liked the set up of the novel with Ellie trapped between two kidnappers, and Kane’s writing really drives home the tension. Check out Captor Captive if you’re in the mood for a unique breed of thriller!

This book puts the "thrill" in the word thriller. This book is very intense and starts out that way from the first page with a gripping introduction. The suspense of what happens to Ellie stays through the entire book until the very end. It really keeps you on the edge of your seat, it's been a long time since I've picked up a thriller suspense novel, and this one was definitely worth it.

I was approached by author L J. Kane to review her debut novel, Snatch Girl. I was kindly sent a copy of her book in exchange for an honest review.

Thrillers are by far my favourite genre so
I was intrigued to read her book, as it comes with an 18+ warning.

LJ's writing style pulls you into the book from the very first sentence, with the intensity rising page after page!

You feel like you're actually experiencing what is being described in the book and you can tell that a lot of research has take

Snatch Girl is a fast-paced and intense thrill ride, but I was unable to get past the romanticized abuse that runs rampant throughout the story.

This book is very graphic, which I don’t think is inappropriate for the themes involved, as this book is about a girl who’s kidnapped and abused as she’s used for leverage. However, the addition of a romantic subplot including graphic sex was, in my opinion, inappropriate for the content

A gripping read from start to finish and I honestly couldn’t put it down. It’s fast paced storyline has you hooked from the word go and you could literally feel the emotions of the three main characters Braddon, Darren and Ellie. A very adult content but that is explained at the beginning and certainly not for the faint hearted as it is pretty gruesome in parts. It is my kind of book though and I can not recommend this book highly enough to all the people who like this genre. And .... I’ve seen ...more

This is a fast paced suspense that had me gripped from page 1 and wouldn't let me go until I'd finished it. I took my time because I didn't want to lose any of the story. Yes, the book has adult content but, for me, it didn't detract from the story. Pn the whole it is a fantastic read and I would welcome a sequel!!!

If you jump easily, this book is not for you! So many unexpected shocks, but it’ll keep you reading. Braddon will make you grateful he’s fictitious but still make your skin crawl. The detailed narrative is disturbing but fitting and it continues throughout. Take a deep breath and keep all the lights on!

This is fast paced from the off, and doesn’t let up with action and tension all the way through. I could not put it down. You must read this, it will not disappoint. Not my usual preferred genre, but I enjoyed it immensely.

I could barely put this book down, the atmosphere oozes with dread as you can practically feel Ellie’s heart beating in your own chest, the writing style is descriptive and captivating, I was quite anxious throughout this book. I look forward to reading more.

Ellie (18) had been kidnapped.
Salisbury, England. Jon Braddon (sadistic pedophile) had his ways with her.
Darren Broderick was his accomplice.
Darren had taken Ellie from the cellar. The 2 were on the lamb.
She tried to escape again but to no avail.
Jon finally caught up with the 2.

Darren managed to knock him out.
He put his body in the locked outhouse.
The problem was he was still alive.
Will Jon escape again?

Warning: This book is for adults only & contains extreme violent or graphic adult conte

This story is about a girl who is 18 years old who is kidnapped by a sexual pervert. But that isn't all. His accomplice Darren, helps break the girl out of the basement that Jon has her handcuffed in. Darren is the ex-boyfriend of the girl's older sister. There is a lot of violence, sex in the middle of this book, and most of it is hard to believe that anyone could get through that and still live. This is definitely a writing of fiction.

This book was just 'Ok' in my opinion. It was very predictable and didn't have any twists or surprises. There were only three main characters in the book, but the author did do a great job of developing them. Still, just an Ok read.

This book had good points and bad points. The good was the action. The writer left you on the seat of your pants about what would be happening next. Well written in that aspect.Where the story failed is that parts of the story weren't ever cleared up. Only hinted at why the main character was snatched but never full reason. Needed to explain about her family background better with the step father. The worst was the ending. It left nothing to sum the book up with the other main character. Decent ...more
