I enjoyed Cursed Rebel a lot; it was an action-packed foray into the world of faerie; one that I really found ever so entertaining.
This being my first book by this particular author I wasn't quite sure what to expect so I'm pleased to say that I easily managed to lose myself in the rich otherworldly landscape portrayed here so vividly.
The excellent world building was a huge positive for "Cursed Rebel" the author has managed quite splendidly to build and describe

All her life, Lucy had been told that the Fae her bad, evil and she should stay away from them. All that changes when Fin shows up and kidnaps her, taking her to the land of the Fae...

This is the first thing I've by this author and let me say, it won't be the last. I really liked the world building and the characters. Fin especially was great. I do think it should've been longer, the end just felt off to me. I think expanding on this novel would be amazing, it's pretty short anyway, I read it al

*ARC RECEIVED FOR HONEST REVIEW*
H.G definitely knows how to write YA and Paranormal books. This was brilliant and i devoured it in just a few hours. As a young child Lucy was warned by her grandma of faeries and told terrifying stories about them, but were these stories true ?? Were they as bad as she'd been told or was their some other reason for her warning. As strong as she is Lucy just can't resist the red haired boy, she tries her hardest but fails and what happens next is otherworldly.

just finished reading Cursed Rebel. this may sound weird but when i think about how a book is i think in terms of food. yeah its weird but that's just me. Cursed Rebel was a really good snack, soo fulfilling and satisfying. it had everything i love about books. a good love story and action (fighting). i won't get into everything and leave spoilers but i will recommend this book it you like fearies.

Lucy grew up with the words of her grandmother in her head- to fear the Fey because one day they may come for her. Never believing that this was an actual warning, just fantastical tales from her beloved grandmother, Lucy was shocked when one came for her. Lucy is now in a world where everything is dangerous, being led to who knows where by the infuriating yet tempting boy Fin.

I love books about the Fey! Hands down, they are one of my favorite book topics to get my hands on. There is just som

Slightly haunting, this tale pulls into a world where beauty is dangerous and love almost impossible.

Lucy's grandmother always warned her of the fae folk—alluring, cunning and dangerous. Being an average, American kid, Lucy new they were fairy tales. When a boy with bright, red hair dashes through her school, her gut tells her something's off, but first, when he captures her and takes her to the Otherworld, does the situation hit full thrust. She's been captured by a gorgeous fae boy, one who's

This was a fun easy fast read. It was a different take on Farey world. Great way to spend an afternoon.

I did have some trouble in the beginning. Lucy wasn't extremely likable and I didn't really like how she acted after being kidnapped. She was a little too compliant for me. I eventually got into the book and loved that it is told in alternating points of view. I really loved Fin's character and liked getting to know him. The book is a little predictable, but I still enjoyed the read. My biggest complaint about this book and why it is only getting 3-stars is because how short and rushed it felt. ...more

Faeries and Elves have always intrigued me. Tolkien piqued my interest, but I had grown up watching a reading things...off. Especially Gail Carson Levine's work. So when given the chance to read Cursed Rebel by H.G. Lynch, I jumped at it.
First of all, let me start by giving you the biggest flaw of the book: there was not enough of it. It wasn't that it was too short (though it is only about 140 pages), it was that I just simply wanted more.
We meet Lucy, a pretty girl in high school, crushing on

Book Review: Cursed Rebel
by H.G. Lynch

*** I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Lucy is the quintessential girl next door who has a mad crush on her best guy friend Ryan. When a gorgeous Faery, dubbed Fin, enters her world she has the long ago warnings of her grandmother to help keep her head on straight. However, her iron will isn’t enough to resist all of his magical seductive charms.

Fin has found a way to get along in his own way in Fairy Land but keeping his

This book was a fun read with a richly imagined mythos. Lucy is a likable heroine who is kidnapped and taken to the Otherworld (Land of Fae) by Fin, a new kid at her school who definitely is more than he seems. Lucy finds out that her best friend Ryan whom she has known for years is more than he seems, as well. Both young men have been compelled to deliver Lucy to their respective leaders. Her whole life view changes as she learns the reasons for her abduction. She and Fin encounter many dangers ...more

Cursed Rebel by H. G. Lynch

Lucy had been warned to avoid the Fae by her grandmother. Imaginary creatures to Lucy but still the fear of those stories stayed in her mind. Imagine what happens when she meets the beautiful boy with the pointed ears and he tricks her into leaving with him. A world full of imaginary characters meets Lucy head on and the beautiful boy is really and truly a handsome Fae and her heart and her mind have to come to grips with what she is finding that she feels during her

What an amazingly awesome read!
I was drawn into the world that H.G. Lynch created in Cursed Rebel from the very beginning. Her characters are fantastic, Lucy is seriously awesome, I love the things that come out of her mouth, Fin is hot and all, but don't forget that he is Fae & you never know if you can truly trust him. The otherworld, or the World of the Fair Folk, is beautifully written, created you feel like you are there with Lucy. It was such an amazing & enjoyable read I want more

H.G. has a way of writing YA stories that also appeal to older readers and it holds true with this book. It is fun, adventurous and charming, with engaging characters and a storyline that sweeps you along. It is a mid length book yet manages to hold plenty of detail.

This was a quick read for me, even though it had some plot holes that I wrestled with while reading this book (I.E magic that quickly solved every problem.) There are pretty much two main characters that we see throughout the entire book with a few pockets of other appearances. I honestly thought the book had a good premise and storyline but that the story could have been more developed. A Faerie Lord kidnaps a girl from the mortal world to deliver her to
