Sons of Lost Souls MC #2

His Selfish Love

Rate this book
When Harper McCarthy and her mom rolled into town, JJ was the only one who could calm Harper’s mind. He quickly became her obsession.
He’s cocky, he’s a biker, and he’s the most selfish man she’s ever met. He plays with her like a cat toys with a mouse.
She has her problems and she has her secrets, but she doesn’t feel free until she puts herself first.

Jason ‘JJ’ Carter, son of Sparky and Bonnie Carter, is as selfish as his dad used to be back in the day. He lives for the patch and his brothers. He loves the freedom of the club, the partying, and the women. Harper is fresh in town and she makes it too easy to seduce her, until he learns how crazy she is.

It’s not until Harper gains control of her life that JJ realises how different she is, and the chase begins.
With the club under threat and bullets flying in every direction, will JJ be able to keep Harper safe, fight for his club, and show her he can be the man she needs? Or will Harper show him how she can look after herself? Just because you love someone doesn’t mean you need them.

DNF @ Chapter 2

Nothing against the author or writing but chapter 2 opens with heroine having sex with OM - whose name she did not know. Seemed like random hookups were her thing.

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK or decent reads.
========================
I didn't like the heroes, both serve as a study for some psychiatrist, because they are full of issues. Our hero has no reason to be the big jerk that he is, but our heroine has severe trauma caused by her mother's neglect and lack of a father figure.

This is the second book in the Sons of Lost Souls MC by Ellie R. Hunter. Jason Carter “JJ” is a member of the Lost Souls MC, his dad, Sparky is the Vice President of the club. Harper McCarthy is the niece of Slade, her mom, Lily is his sister. I didn’t like this book because of who Harper’s dad is and had I read the original series I’d be even more pissed. I don’t wanna say anything else and spoil shit so I’m just gonna say I can see where this series is going and I won’t be continuing with it.

Freaking floved it....

Harper is a very complex individual. I felt sorry for her, and honestly still do with how everyone in the club are treating her. JJ finally got his head out of his butt and I think he's good at helping reel in Harper's crazy. This couple and their circumstances still feel unfinished to myself though. Hopefully we'll get more from the next book in this amazing series and set of characters.
Things are coming to light, and oh what twists are weaved. This reader can't wait to see where this series goes next.

His Selfish Love

This book was perfect for this couple. So many test and turns. I can’t wait to read Sparky’s book. Love all the characters and what they mean to their story. If you haven’t read the first book you need to.

I Really am enjoying the next generation, I wasn’t sure I would and so wish I hadn’t been putting them off because of it. Sparky has always been my favourite character and now son of Sparky is running close second ( I didn’t like him in the last book). He’s funny, loyal and can be a right arse just like his dad but when he finally admits his feelings for Harper he falls heavy. Harper is great, she is such a complex character with many issues, a lot of those springing from having to be child-parent to her mum. Her love for JJ and his attitude towards her is that last straw.

JJ and Harper

An emotional angsty heart-wrenching tale of love and heartache. JJ and Harper are imperfectly perfect for one another. Be prepared to laugh, cry and sit on the edge of your seat wondering what will come next. This is an exceptional book.

This is book 2 of the next generation, the plotline is really intensifying. This book ends with some sad news, made me very upset. Can't wait for book3, maybe we'll get Zach's story.
