Oh, I love Measha Stone and I love the Black Light books, so putting them together in one place is just perfectly awesome. And Measha's book fits in perfectly with the rest of the Black Light books.

Sophie and Scott are cops and partners. But when they run into each other at the Black Light Valentine's Roulette event, Sophie starts to freak out, since that means her personal life and work life are crossing over in not good ways. You see, this was her first time at the club, even if she had been

Even though I have read most of the books in the Black Light series, I'm always amazed at how well all of the involved authors are able to neatly weave their individual books together. In this instance, the woman that fainted and therefore was not even included with a story in Roulette Redux is now the heroine of this book. Sophia is new to the BDSM scene and actually fainted at the Valentine's event before she ever got to participate. And if that isn't embarrassing enough for Sophia, it's actua ...more

Sophia and Scott may be partners on the police force they work for but that doesn't stop them from thinking about each other in "other" ways. Scott is a Dom and Sophia is wanting to learn so when they accidently meet up at Black Light, Scott gets all kinds of ideas. Sophia is convinced that they can't stay together as a couple and still work together so she lies to herself and to Scott by saying this is just for fun! When a case they are working on takes on twists and turns, it's Scott who provi ...more

I have loved the entire Black Light series, so it’s surprising to me that I didn’t care for this one too much. In the very first chapter, you are thrown into the Valentine Roulette with Sophie and Scott. Jumping right into the action isn’t a problem if done well, however, there was no build up, suspense, or character development before the main characters started getting intimate with each other. In addition, they dived straight into intercourse so, as the reader, the excitement and sus

As a huge fan of the Black Light series, there was no question about whether I would be reading this book or not. I have come to expect a well written, captivating and very kinky book when I read this author and I wasn't disappointed. Whilst this story didn't have the darkness or extreme play that many of her books contain, it was still a very steamy and wonderful story. In my humble opinion it fits perfectly into the Black Light world, so if you are a fan of any of those books you should love

The latest entry in the Black Light series does not disappoint. Measha Stone picks up with a tiny shred of information of Roulette Redux, and makes it the beginning of this wonderful novel. Sophia and Scott homicide detectives and partners. When they get together at Black Light, Sophia is clear she wants to keep things casual. Scott agrees to this, even though he wants a more serious D/s relationship. As they grow to know each other better, she begins to fall seriously for him, although she's af ...more

A decent story that wasn't my taste

A new-to-me author, I hadn't read any of the previous Black Light books. While this mostly worked well as a standalone, there were times where it felt like the author assumed you had the full background. For instance, names are mentioned as people Scott served in the military with, but no further explanation until quite a bit further into the book. My feeling is that I would have liked this more if I'd read it as part of the series--more on this later.

This book captured and kept my attention from the start.
Sophie and Scott are both detectives and partners.
Their job relationship is great.
Both of them are smart, eager and they have a system in place when dealing with suspects that works very well for them. They are in synch and mutually respect each other.
Scott eyes Sophia at work and finds her utterly beautiful.
She’s unaware of his attraction to her and has had a prior bad experience and not looking to relive that again.
But all bets are off whe

Black Light: Suspicion is a new book within the Black Light world and not only does it have the BDSM romance, but also a murder mystery, too! Sophie has always felt like something is missing in her relationships, so when she takes a chance to indulge in her fantasies, she takes it at Black Light. Scott has felt a draw to Sophie since she became his partner, not thinking anything could come from it, but now everything has changed. As their case heats up, so does their relationship, but Scott want ...more

Sophie Nelson is a green newbie to the BDSM scene, so it explains why her nerves (and lack of food) cause her to faint before the Valentine Roulette at Black Light. Luckily (or perhaps, unluckily) for her, her partner, Scott Russo was there when she fainted, and is there to feed her then take her home that night.

Knowing his new, sinfully curvy partner is in the scene is the last thing he was expecting from Sophie. But now that he knows, his hot wayward thoughts about her can't seem to be stopped

I found myself on an emotional journey along with the characters of this book.
It was addictive in so many ways,it had heart, heat and realism.I latched onto it
with both hands and enjoyed the progression of the characters personality traits,
as they both fought against their pasts which added such complexity to their

Hmmm. So.
It's seems as though it's been forever since one of the fifteen submissives waiting for the Valentine's Day Roulette at Black Light fainted, leaving us with questions on who, what, why and will we ever find out her story...well, the answer is yes, and it's one hell of a book!
Sophie and Scott give us the perfect conclusion to the Valentine's Day Roulette mystery, and Measha Stone has gone beyond expectations in this full-length novel, leaving no stone unturned and offering up a fast-pace

Suspense, intrigue, and drama played out in the background while Scott and Sophia struggled to define their relationship. They're attracted to each other but neither one even thinks about making the first move because they're partners at work. Finding out there's an interest in kink on both sides was definitely a welcome surprise. That's when the story takes off. He's been playing for awhile. She's new to the scene. The struggles they face at work are complicated by their interest in each other ...more

Measha Stone is a new to me author, and after experiencing this amazing story, she's on my radar for good now. Scott and Sophie are cops, and partners at that. However things get complicated when they run into each other at the Black Light Valentine's Roulette Event, as she really freaks out since the personal and professional line is now blurry. It doesn't help that it's her first time at anything that has to do with BDSM, but not his, so yeah, the freaking out is big time. But it also sends th ...more

I have read most of this author's books & was not disappointed with this addition. Scott Russo a homicide detective has just recently been paired with a new partner: Sophie Nelson. He's a handsome, intelligent, confident Dom in his off hours & Sophie is slightly plump & intelligent but unsure about being an off hours submissive in a new lifestyle attempt. While 'dipping her toes' at the Club to determine if being a submissive is in the cards for her, she & Scott bump into each ot ...more

What a fantastic addition to the Black Light series. Ms Stone certainly knows how to write BDSM suspenseful romance reads with a gripping, storyline and perfect characters. This is one book that I highly recommend for readers who love this genre. The intrigue of the murder in this great read certainly keeps you reading page after page, with lots of twists and turns to it.

Suspicion (Black Light)

Leading Lady: Sophia is a strong female police officer whose good at her job & knows exactly what she wants from life. She was relatable in all her imperfections. An overarching theme of Sophia’s was trust. I wish there was more on her past & what made her into the woman she is.

Main Man: Scott was everything you want in your lead man: respectful, honest, attractive, confident, and loving. I think there was an opportunity to develop his character with insight into

One of my favorite aspects of the black light series is that there is a plot. Measha Stone excels at weaving together an interesting plot and the sexiness of BDSM. I love how she is able to accurately and respectfully represent the BDSM community. It is always a pleasure to read this series and this author really gave everything I needed.

The character development was substantial. Each layer of the main characters spoke to the storyline and did not detract from it. The world building was consiste

Sophia Nelson and Scott Russo work together as detectives in DC. They are partners and friends until they are pleasantly surprised to see each other one night at a BDSM club called Black Light. Scott had been attracted to her for a while, but thinking she was vanilla, did not approach her. Together, they decide to explore their mutual attraction. It is amazing how skillfully Scott is able to introduce Sophia into the BDSM scene she has been aching to become a part of.

Another wonderful story in the Black Light series!! This is book number 8 and each book tells its own story, no repetition, no reiteration. I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series. Remember the fainting lady from Valentines night at Blacklight?
This is her story.
Sophia is a Detective, recently transferred to a new town, a new Precinct, a new partner, and a very interested kink-newby.
Her first night at any BDSM related venue, she faints standing in line for the Roulette wheel. Her new partner, Detective Scott Russo, Dom at Blacklight, picks her up, feeds her, and puts her to bed.
And the next day they are back to working together on a convoluted murder case.

I love strong & independent women, even though just to the ”outside skin”, nobody has to know how submissive you are inside closed doors.

Sophia & Scott are partners at homicide police department, and they work together as an equal, no female/male BS and this got Scotts’ attention, and of course, her curvy body and her thick long & soft red hair helped her cause even more.

This is an amazing read. It may be fiction, a fantasy if you will but the characters feel very life like to me.
Sophie was amazing, a newbie to the kinky world of Black Light who knew what she wanted and went for it. It wasn't what she thought it would be, it was better.
Scott, he's an experienced Dom who thought he knew all, til Sophie. Maybe even he has a thing or two to learn.
These two made a great team, on and off the clock.
Plus you also get an amazing story within the story, kinda, as they in

So far, I’ve enjoyed every story in the Black Light family and Measha Stone’s “Black Light Suspicion” ranks right up there. So, I’ll jump right in. Likes: The opening. Way to catch my attention. And I really enjoyed them working on the case together. THEM. Together. As a couple. Yesssss! I loved how logical/pragmatic Sophia could be as she ...more

Black Light: Suspicion by Measha Stone is another installment in the Black Light series written by various authors.
Black Light: Suspicion is set in the Black Light Club world.

But how can they be co-workers and in a s-d relationship at the same time. Seems to be difficult, and it is. Sophie more than Scott, she wants a real life re

I'm so glad to finally have the story about the woman who fainted at the Valentine's Day Roulette event at Black Light. Sophia and Scott were so beautiful together! They have a great working relationship, but after Scott spots her at Black Light he is thinking he might be able to have more. Sophia is new to the lifestyle, however, so it's going to take patience from Scott. Is he willing to go slowly? Can she trust him? And what about work?
