I've been following Folley and Mallory since the beginning of this series, so I was thrilled to see a new book pop up. In this one we're taken to share a surprise gift, only to have it turn out to be much more than planned, and a test of the pair's commitment to working together (that's about all I can say without spoilers). It was a fun entry into the series, and I'm looking forward to the next ;o)

Another fine novella in the Folley & Mallory series, and a great riff on Indiana Jones-style "booby-trapped tombs" type of adventures that makes me want to dig out all of my Indy novels and read/re-read them. And this absolutely must be setting some things up for the next novel in the series, which just came out!

Very charming, at turns unsettling, but still utterly delightful.

This is the first of the series that I've read, I will be getting the others! Even not having read the earlier books, I never felt lost and it just made me want to read the rest of their adventures.
