Living with a sexy-as-sin roommate in a luxury penthouse should be a fantasy brought to life, right?

Not when it's Carter Flynn--my teenage crush--who hates my guts.

When I’m in town for a once in a lifetime dance camp, my living arrangements fall through at the last second.

I have no other option but to crash with my childhood family friend...turned millionaire athlete.

I call such heroines ‘Beggar..No Self respect whatsoever heroine’

First of all she is staying at HIS house free of cost and then she is behaving like a queen and showing him attitude in HIS house. Wow!

I mean why would a girl go live with a guy who hates her. There should be some self respect.
Maybe because this book is written by a guy and he thinks this is the way a woman behave...

I don’t think I can continue reading this because this is so stupid and both of them are acting like teenagers.
3 Stars

Overall Opinion: This was "just okay" 3 Stars for me. I struggled with the believability with some of the dramatic elements (view spoiler). I also didn't really like the H. He held too much of a grudge for a situation that the h couldn't help or did because she was trying to protect him. It was implied that he lashed out and mistreated the h in the past, but it w

This was a book I did not enjoy at all due to the characters’ immaturity and so childish behaviour.
Tracy *To the point Reviews*

I started a review and it jumped pages and I lost everything I had written. This one will be short.

The reason the hero hates heroine? Stupid.
The reason they play these dumb games with each other? Dishonest!
The reason he is an asshole in general? Not good enough.
The reason heroine stays around? Aside from good sex and big shlong? No clue. He kept being mean to her.
Cliffhanger mystery? Interesting. She finally tries to grow a backbone. Wonder if book 2 will redeem this asshole.

The is a 2.5 read

I have to admit, I don't usually give a book 5 stars if I don't do the "ugly cry" while reading, but this book was THAT good, and I didn't feel right only giving it 4. With that said, this story had everything I look for in a book-angst, humor, frustration, anger, mind-blowing steamy hot sex and the love/hate that Carter & Lacy have towards each other was beyond crazy! One of my favorite lines is when Carter says,"Don't let the ghosts of the past kill your dreams of the future." Which is ver ...more

The cover fooled me into reading a second time. It's still a 2.

This book could be titled ‘When Mickey Miller Worlds Collide,’ bringing a little of the Blackwell series and a touch of the Ballers series into another hot, hilarious, heartfelt read from an author who has quickly earned a spot at the top of my must-read authors. As much as I've come to enjoy and anticipate his writing, each new book offers delightfully unexpected surprises as his work continues to improve and keep me on my toes.

This is the first book in a two book duet so there is a cliffhanger

It’s a series. Strike 1. I’m not into series these days. Dragging out a story and writing a short novel instead of a full length books is a useless waste of my reading time. I work and I work endlessly so I read for pleasure. Some books are worth the hours of walking (reading) the journey characters take. This book didn’t make the cut for me.

It had one laugh out moment, but to me the writing wasn’t the issue like it usually is. It was the main characters. The main character kept complaining she

If you're looking for a hate to love read, this is for you. If you love angsty books, then this is for you. If you just love hot romance in general then you definitely need to pick this book up when it releases and trust me, it's so worth one clicking.

And lastly, I want to say to Mickey Miller this is the BEST work of your writing career. Keep up the great work and I seriously cannot wait to read what happens to Carter and Lacy in the final book of this awesome duology....

The Lying Game was a nice blend of not just friends to lovers but ALSO enemies to lovers. Cater and Lacy have this push and pull that they’re constantly playing and I actually was smirking more often then not with their banter. When you add Lance and Joseph into the mix things only get better and I love the story that much more. There’s a mystery that builds more in the center of the book and just took off from there that I didn’t want to put my kindle down. I’m happy with the way this story con ...more

"I hate you, Carter."
"I hate you too. But, I'm also done resisting you."

Who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers story -or in this case a friends-to-lovers-to-enemies-to lovers story! Mickey brings us a story full of love, hate, secrets, and steam!

Carter Flynn is on top of the world. A multi-million dollar pro basketball contract, a ballers penthouse apartment, and a different woman warming his bed each night. But, his world is about to get tipped on its axis when SHE shows up. Playing the "Ly
I said I was done with contemporary romance because I was getting burned out on the same old shit, which always happens when I go on a binge like this. Buuuut it's Valentine's Day, so sue me.

Anyway, I'm glad I read this one because it had just about everything on my checklist of what makes me love a romance book. Enemies (sort of) to lovers, an emotional past, hotness (duh), an ACTUAL PLOT (thank you!) that is intriguing and interesting, characters whose sole purpose isn't just to be titillatin

I was so blown away by this book I am having difficulty putting everything I am feeling after reading it into coherent words.

The Lying Game is a roller-coaster of hate, animosity and ass-holiness with loops of steamy scenes and unresolved issues. Mickey Miller builds this angsty game between the characters so well that even from all the negativity surrounding the characters' relationship and past, hope seems to bloom and expectations and assumptions are made. But as Lacy Benson, Mickey's main fe

I have such a love hate relationship with Carter and Lacy. I take turns being mad at each of them, and then loving them at the same time. I loved reading about this love hate relationship between the two. I never knew which one was going to surprise me next. Carter the ***hole or Lacy the smart***. I can't wait to see what is in store for the two as they continue on with their lives in denial of their feelings. Carter and Lacy make me so frustrated with their antics. I know that they will make t ...more

Back to the beginning!

Lacy and Carter are a complex duo! A love hate relationship but when Lacy has to stay with him for 8 weeks and they finally hook up the sparks really fly! I enjoyed their wild story and look forward to the conclusion! Many grammatical errors in this novel though! That needs to be corrected otherwise a great read!

I just. I got to the yacht scene in the bedroom and just couldn't continue. Through the part, I read I was unable to connect with the characters. To be honest, they seem very bland - we are informed about their characters' traits but it's all very cookie cutter.

The male lead is angry, angsty sex God - and that's it. The heroine is just there. Also, the yacht sex scene - why is it so S&M like?

I really wanted to enjoy this book as I'm a fan of a second chance romance, but there'

Just when I thought that I had read Mickey Miller's best book to date, he writes an even better one! This enemies-to-lovers story neatly ties the Ballers universe with the Blackwell After Dark universe, the setting shifting from small town Blackwell to big city Chicago.
Carter and Lacy were childhood friends and dated up to their senior year of high school but one huge misunderstanding forces them to play an elaborate Lying Game and pretend to still be friends for the sake of their mothers' life

This was more of a 2.5 or maybe a 3 star rating but I dropped it to 2 stars because it has a cliffhanger ending and I hate those with the fire of 100o suns. If this hadn't been free under Kindle Unlimited and I paid for the book, I would have been pissed. That's how much I loathe cliffhangers. Authors - please, if you care at all about your readers, stop this nonsense.

Anyway, the story.

Some elements worked for me, some really didn't. The story started off well enough - childhood friends (and now

This was not a Contemporary romance. It's straight up s&m porn and OMG I hate that there is no distinction on Kindle between contemporary romance and stories that portray women as anencephalic mollusks controlled by what is between their legs.
I was so angry when I read one scene I was shaking.
I am no prude, but I am a strong, independent woman and this subspecies of 'literature' sickens me. It's offensive and upsetting and makes me truly ashamed of my gender. How utterly appalling

Perfect Mess

I didn't know this book was the first of a duet until I was halfway through the second to last chapter. Being a patience challenged person, that was the point at which I began to pray that the second book of the duet had already been published. And boy was I glad to learn it had come out 12 days ago. I'm really enjoying this story too much to wait to finish it.

Lacy and Carter grew up together in the same small town. Their mothers were best friends and they were only a year apart. The

Mickey Miller writes hot books, there is no doubt, and The Lying Game is no exception! As a matter of fact, I thought it was his sexiest book yet. When I found The Lying Game had shown up on my kindle, I was crazy busy with blog responsibilities, so I couldn’t read it immediately. However, I am glad I got the chance to squeeze it in for sure! The book is the first of a duet with the second book, The End Game, releasing soon. The Lying Game was a quick read. I felt like the story was set to a fas ...more

Wow, this book is one that you NEED to READ—you won’t regret it! This is a very good enemy to lover’s sports romance.
