I will tell you the truth: at first, I really, really disliked Deb. She just made me roll my eyes. I mean... A nice enough, decent husband who has always provided for her? A lovely home? A car of her own, freedom to go to the beauty parlor and shopping, never had to work in her life??? So what if her marriage had gone a little stale over the years? How about giving this entitled, privileged, bored middle-class woman some REAL problems? Like, uh, a useless slob of a husband that doesn't work and ...more

I worked on this book as the proofreader, and I can honestly say it is one of the most emotional pieces of fiction I have read in a long time. It kept me hooked, and I fell for the ending. Hard! If you love emotional and engaging women's fiction, you'll love this book. :)

Was given this book and really enjoyed it. Kameo Monson is tremendously good writer. I can't stress the high quality of her writing enough.

If you love Debbie Macomber books full of clean romance, bittersweet tragedy, and heart-warming triumph, you will love this one too!

I really enjoyed this love story. It's not your traditional love story, there are twists and surprises. Nice read! I was part of the author's proof-reading team. I read a lot of books, I was glad to have added this one to my goodreads list of read books.

The first time her husband McKay drove an hour across the Phoenix Valley to pick her up for a date, he thought she’d be surrounded by farmland. Unfortunately, most had been built up a decade previously.
