Shane Marvell is in his final year as a bronc rider, but he's facing a crossroads. He needs to win big in order to fund some kind of training for a future career, otherwise he's going to return to the family farm and share a bathroom with his adult siblings with nothing to contribute and nothing to show for a career in rodeo. His brutal rejection by his former girlfriend who said he wasn't husband material has also contributed to his feelings of being unworthy.

Risk taker vs non risk taker. Shane is riding for his last year in the rodeo, going for it all even if injured. Ella has been passed up for a grant since she wasn't willing to take a risk, so instead she is traveling with the rodeo talking to bull riders on why they take the risk of their profession. Ella starts interviewing Shane when a friendship develops and leads to more. Are they both willing to take the risk of falling in love.

Excellent read! Bronc rider Shane Marvel knows this is the end of his rodeo career but he's determined to win as much as he can this year to fund his future. Even if that means riding hurt. Ella is a graduate student working on yet another degree. Before she can move forward though she needs to complete some research and collect data for a grant to fund her work. She's researching why people have risky behaviors so what better place to collect data than a rodeo and what better specimen than inju ...more

Tule Publishing always delivers fabulous reads and Jeannie Watt's The Cowboy's Last Rodeo is no exception. There's so much to love starting with a sexy cowboy, a great plot and wonderful storytelling. The author has done an exceptional job with characterization and bringing the world of the rodeo to life within the pages of this book. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a delicious cowboy read!

There’s a lot to love about The Cowboy's Last Rodeo. A rodeo cowboy, a woman on a mission and the undeniable attraction that is impossible to resist. This was an easy read, with real characters, a good storyline and a great addition to this multi author series.

The Cowboy’s Last Rodeo gives us a rather unique look at a rodeo cowboy’s life as his career winds down, not necessarily by choice but by the wear, tear and abuse a body goes through while trying to stay on a bull or a bronc for those precious eight seconds… and the resulting injuries when the animal was truly the winner in the contest. I liked Shane. It’s that plain and simple, I liked this man. He’s realistic with himself, he knows his time on the circuit is ending

We've been reading a lot about the Marvells, mostly in the Cherry Lake area. But they are cousins to the Marvells in the Paradise Valley area. Now we get to read about the Paradise Valley Marvells. First up is the baby of the family, Shane. As a bronc rider, his body is breaking down but he has nothing to show for his rodeo day

Ella sets out too make a name away from her family and finding herself, so she sets off on an adventure. Shane has one more season to prove himself because he has too retire. So he's out healing his body and his heart. Can Ella and Shane have one more bang of an adventure?

For most of this book I felt like this should have been the first book in the series, it seems to really lead up to the 79th Rodeo so unlike the other books in the series it did not coincide with the rodeo. However towards the

As with the other books in the series I found this utterly engaging, I felt totally onboard with not only the whole rodeo setting but also the pull that the guys had with their craft.
Shane is ready to retire, knowing full well that his body can’t take another season, so he is aiming big and determined to win as much as can, he has a land that he is after in order to be able to secure his future.
Ella too is ready to prove to herself if no-one else that she is ready to forge a future for

I enjoyed reading The Cowboy’s Last Rodeo. It’s the fourth in the 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo multi-author series, set largely in Marietta Montana. This is a light and entertaining read, particularly if you like cowboys and rodeos.
Shane is riding his last season and is carrying a shoulder injury. He’s on top of the points board and determined to stay that way until the end so he can collect a bonus purse, which he believes is necessary to securing a future outside the rodeo ring.

Another Rodeo Read Based around the Copper Mountain Rodeo the 75th at that. This one is special as the last one was cancelled due to arson and fire destroying the entire rodeo arena. Now that it has been rebuilt we have a whole new place and lots of yummy cowboys to see.
So this is a new book by author Jeannie Watt and one I really enjoyed. It is really enjoyable to read because it was not just about romance but also about science too. Yep I said science. See we have Ella a grad student who has t

The Cowboy's Last Rodeo by Jeannie Watt is a case of how plans change over time especially as one matures or grows as a person. Some might say that it is simply an “opposites attraction” story but it is as much about personal growth as it is a romance story. Shane and Ella do a lot of thinking, analyzing and examining their approach to life and the type of life that they now have. Certainly, they are at the rodeo for very different reasons, but those reasons seem to collide and intermix as the s ...more

This was a good book. I enjoyed the tie in to the 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo as well as start another series for the author with the Marvell brothers. I loved Shane and how he struggled with the break up with his long-term girlfriend. Shortly after the break up, the ex-girlfriend becomes engaged to the Marvell brothers' CPA. Shane is left reeling. Ella Etxeberri has always been considered the safe one of her family, where her siblings have always been risk takers. When she is passed up for a research promotion because she doesn’t take risks, she decides to travel the rodeo circuit talking to bull riders about the risks they take for their profession.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book and the romance that developed between Shane and Ella. They seemed at times to be opposites but we saw how well they got along and saw them fall in love. Shane is participating with a bum leg and shoulder and each rodeo is touch and go. Ella is following hi ...more

This is an author who knows exactly how to capture a reader’s attention and hold that interest throughout the story. Shane and Ella’s captivating story is an intense ride of emotions, which produced a favorable outcome even with the uncertain roads they took in making the tough choices and changes needed to get to their HEA. Shane’s changes were not of his making and saddening, yet gave him such unexpected positivity with Ella’s strength as a driving force.

If you like books about Cowboys, Montana and rodeos. This is just the book for you.
Its situated in the fictional town of Marietta, Montana, and its all about a Cowboy, that meets a lovely girl, and then we all know what happens eventually. Its a great story, perfectly written, and with just the perfect amount of swagger to get us hooked on every last word.

This is Shane's last year in the Rodeo circuit and he has decided to risk everything to try to win as much as possible because he has not planned for after the rodeo life.

Ella is everything but a risk taker and now wants to see what it is like these two are not who you would think would get together much less stay but the way this author writes this story you would have never had any doubts .
