When I started reading "Every Man Wants Her" it felt like a guilty pleasure. Actually, it was a guilty pleasure because I had a hard time putting this sexy narrative down. It was just so smooth and went down easily. This reminded me of the old days getting comfortable on a lounge chair on the beach reading a good Jackie Collins novel. So steamy I ate them up. I couldn't wait to open those books up and get back to the intriguing stories. Pretty much the same way I felt about this one except my aged skin can't take the sun anymore. The allure of this kind of story has not changed for me a bit. There is nothing better than escaping into a good book and this one is without a doubt a good one.

"Nicholas Waters was bound by an ethical code to avoid involving himself with his patients. But in his mind, they were just fantasies. Desiring a woman and actually acting upon his desire were two different things, and his fantasies usually went away after a visit or two. Virginia Templeton was a different case. He knew it, she knew it, and so did anyone who had ever come in contact with her."

‘All the years of fighting, and all the horrible lies, were now over.’

Chicago author Marsha Casper Cook is also a screenwriter and radio show personality on Blog Talk Radio discussing writing, publishing and advocating October Breast Cancer Awareness. She is the founder of Michigan Avenue Media and a partner of the World of Ink Network where she does her podcast, A Good Story Is A Good Story. She also tackles many subjects that are currently in the news. The World Of Ink/ Michigan Avenue Media has produced hundreds of shows over the last eight years and will continue to help writers reach their goals as she did when Marsha founded the literary agency Marcus Bryan & Associates in 1996. She achieved signatory status from the Writers Guild of America (WGA) within two years. In that capacity, she has represented more than 100 screenwriters and authors, and has also optioned books to movie production companies. Her own novels include romance, adventure, inspirational books, fiction, non-fiction and children’s stories.

Refreshingly, Marsha has decided to create a series of short stories based on her favored character Virginia Templeton – a lady who wants it all – money, power, men and sex. Marsha knows how to build credible characters and prepare her reader with a grounded platform that seems so real that the story she is about to launch gives us the comfort to laugh at our own similarities and foibles. There are 3 stories in this book. We first meet Virginia in story #1 – EVERYMAN WANTS HER– ‘Virginia Templeton arrived at her psychiatrist’s office, ten minutes late as usual. She was always late, as she rather enjoyed a grand entrance. Virginia was beautiful and knew it, tall and graceful, with hips tapering into long, slender legs. A body to die for, as they say. All heads turned when Virginia entered a room; women wanted to be her, and men just wanted her. She was just as sexy dressed as she was undressed, as she absolutely loved fashion. Her favorite expression was “shop until you drop,” and she did just that. Virginia loved expensive clothes and shoes―oh, how she loved shoes―and accessorized every outfit. She didn’t look at price tags and, luckily, she didn’t need to. Virginia’s image didn’t allow her to be all smiles or say nice things, as she preferred to play the misunderstood diva and use her good looks for favors. People didn’t cross the line with Virginia often and, when they did, her wrath was like nobody else’s.’

Marsha sings all three of her short stories in this casual manner – ‘Business and pleasure don’t always mix but it’s a hell of way to live. Life in the fast lane isn’t for everyone but for this couple it’s their way of life. Everyone in Chicago knows them and internationally they are the glamour couple. He’s a hotel magnet- the center of it all but what happens in a short amount of time will surprise everyone.’ Lots of naughty steamy erotica served generously likely indicates this talented lady has another successful venture on her hands.

Virginia Templeton Stories by Marsha Casper Cook is a thrilling short collection of erotic and outrageous stories that feature the strong willed and highly sexed Virginia. Virginia is a powerful woman in her own right even though she has been married for ten years to a highly successful man. She wants more that just the trappings of wealth. These stories resonate because they touch on the secret desires for power and seduction that many women feel they must hide. A delightful romp on many levels, these stories will fulfill your every fantasy while glorifying a strong and powerful woman who is ruthless in her pursuits. The stories are well written, the characters are interesting if a little predictable and you will enjoy the energy and cavalier attitude that Virginia has on just about everything. A must read for the beach or anywhere else you want the perfect escape.

This book revolved around Virginia Templeton and her lady bits. Virginia, a high strung tyrant, was married with many lovers and a short fuse. She had a rough childhood and experienced molestation during that time. While it is not stated, I am assuming it was mentioned as the reason why she grew into the heartless person she became. Whereas the sex scenes and I suppose Virginia was meant to be sexy, they fell flat for me. Unfortunately, I could not connect with this story or the characters. I am left wondering why the men that came into contact with her desired her. There was also quite a bit of redundancy and overuse of the word "f**k". I believe the narrator's voice was to tame for this story and did not deliver the "bite" in her tone that was necessary to effectively portray the protagonist.

(I received this book in exchange for an honest review.)

"Every Man Wants Her (The Virginia Templeton Stories)" by Marsha Casper Cook is a raunchy story about a very attractive and outrageous woman, unhappily married and highly sexed. The first story sets up the character and the several men and lovers in her life, in whom she has differing interests.
Virginia is an irresistible woman and character, you just love to hate her in her demanding and self centred ways.
The story is very well written, the words just fly over the page and the story moves like a whirlwind through that particular moment of Virginia's life as she tries to entice her psychologist.
"It's Never Enough (The Virginia Templeton Stories)" by Marsha Casper Cook is the second story about the sexy and outrageous woman. Now a widow she is still ambitious, self centred and mischievous. The string of men in her life is still going strong but in this story power and image become important in other ways, too.
Virginia is a character you will love to hate, you just cannot fail to be impressed by her resourcefulness and confidence.
Like the first story, this is written with confidence and skill and is great entertainment.
"Stepping Up Her Game (The Virginia Templeton Stories)" by Marsha Casper Cook sees the protagonist step in to the world of business and as the title says, stepping up her game. She is still naughty and mischievous, the storyline here is able to build on the previous two stories and makes for a sizzling finale.
Great fun.
