This was a great second chance romance filled with so much passion intertwined with pain and angst along with a villain and drama that rocketed off the page. Mia and Grayson were amazing together and their pain from the events that happened a year ago was so palpable my heart clinched in agony for them.
The first part was fast paced and kept me on the razor’s edge as this couple confront each other after a long separation. I absolutely loved how their story slowly unfolded and the anticipation of each new tidbit was sweet pain. However, once the past is completely revealed, it did lose a bit of its spark and I found it to be a bit repetitive. The fact that Mia and Grayson were so deeply in love was never in question though, even while they lived through months of feeling betrayed.
The whole premise of this story is what caused their separation. How could they repair the damage and move forward with their relationship? They both realized that their new “them” included recognizing their flaws. They were not perfect despite their perfect love and this new view point made what they felt all the sweeter.
The pacing here was fast and agonizing until they are reunited completely at which time the pacing seemed to slow. There is a great cast of secondary characters, some from previous books, some that will eventually get their own. The heat level is pretty intense and reflected the emotions this couple felt.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I knew I was going to love Grayson's story! 5 Dirty Rich Stars!!!! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic's Read
Lisa throws you right into the turmoil in this story and It's my favorite so far! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic's Read
I felt like I was watching a movie with the way the story opened; she threw us right into it.... SO PERFECT! I loved how we got flashbacks to all the important parts of their relationship. How is it that I am falling in love more with each story and Grayson is no exception. This man is DEVOTED to his woman. He is hands down in love, and Mia is the perfect pairing for him. She is the perfect Queen to help him run his empire! With deception, honor, integrity and betrayal you will be hooked!
4.5 stars! This series just keeps getting better and better. Lisa Renee Jones is an exquisite story teller and I absolutely loved Grayson and Mia's journey.
The ultimate love story. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I definitely have a love-hate relationship with this book. It’s no secret I love the writing style and the stories that she puts out. But I also hated the fact that she chose to pretty much start this book in the middle of the story.
I was confused. I thought I missed something from another book. But no! She was just reeling me in further and further into the story. And the further I got in it, the more I loved it.
This is the story of a love gone terribly wrong. But who betrayed whom? How can it be that both people have broken hearts yet can’t seem to find their way back again?
Grayson is complex yet straightforward about his feelings for her. She admits she loves him deeply. But yet they are broken and so are we as we struggle to come to terms with the past and the present.
Jones wrote this story in such a manner that you can feel your own heart being shredded apart. Random tears would appear. As they work to try and figure it all out, pieces of the puzzle would fall into place. But the question still there… Who betrayed whom?
Emotional, steamy, with deep intensity, make sure you have your tissues when you dive into this one.
Another winner and a five star read! Not to be missed!

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!!! ☺

Well, that was adorable!
A sexy & very exciting second-chance romance!
The story goes back in time a few times. We have this huge insta attraction between them. But we also now have all that hate and anger and all those betrayed and hurt feelings ... so much to overcome until we can get our happily ever after. But we love watching them fight their way through everything. With or without clothes! Lotsa fun for the reader. Even though it's a lot of back and forth in the beginning .... I love you but I don't believe you. Ugh.
I didn't like the whole betrayal part of the book. There was no betrayal. He was innocent back then and she didn't even give him a second to explain or to convince her. I hated Mia for that. They could've been happily married for a year now, but she just runs away when things get complicated.
But now she's here and they're using that second chance. A year too late, and after lots of hurting ... especially for our darling Grayson, but better now than never. ☺
I really liked reading it. I also loved that it wasn't as ultra-too-long as the previous books in this series! ☺
It was really exciting and interesting - you just have to keep on reading - you want to know if and how they'll stop Ri from destroying everything!
And plus also .... I can't wait to get Eric's 2 books!!! He's really adorable and mysterious and rich and Navy SEALish nerdy! ☺
DIRTY RICH BETRAYAL was a very adorable & exciting & sexy second-chance-lawyer-lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Grayson - this one is MINE!!!☺
Nope. I would have read this but the heroine was celibate during the separation and the hero wasn’t. He needed to sleep with OW to get rid of the image of the heroine being with OM while they were separated 🙄
DIRTY RICH BETRAYAL by Lisa Renee Jones is book Four in the Dirty Rich Betrayal series. This is the story of Mia Cavanaugh and Grayson Bennett. Mia and Grayson had sparks flying from the start but she did try to not have any hot encounters with him so that she wouldn't get a reputation of sleeping her way to the top. Then a betrayal happened that broke them apart now almost a year later it seems a second chance is coming to them. But they will have to deal with the past and present issue which leads to this book going back and forth in their relationship. Another great story in this series! Loved it!
The Dirty Rich series is absolutely unbelievable. Betrayal had me sitting on the edge of my seat, holding my breath and hoping, beyond hope, that Mia would listen to and forgive Grayson. Feel sorry for a billionaire? Absolutely.
You knew, from the first time Grayson uttered “Mia” that whatever he did that she felt betrayed from, he didn't do. You could feel the love just pouring off of him and, no matter what she thought of him, he would give his life for her. But, what she has come to tell him has him concerned. No, not for what some people are trying to do to him but for Mia and how she wants to put herself in the middle of it all … to protect him. But, she has no choice but to finish what was started. She put herself in this position by not listening in the first place. Now, she has to face the feelings that never went away and trust that they will protect each other.
Yes, there is love. So much love between the two of them that you feel it ooze off of the pages even with the rift that is between them. The hurt and anger are also living, breathing feelings that come alive throughout the story. But, that's why I can't stop reading Lisa Renee Jones. The words that she writes and they way her stories are composed always makes me feel a part of the story. My heart breaks, my tears flow and I panic right along with the characters. She is the mistress of Romantic Suspense and knows how to keep her readers enthralled to the point where nothing exists except turning the next page to find out the path that she has chosen to bring us to the happily-ever-after that all of her characters so rightly deserve.
What do you do when the man you love and what you feel for each other is just too perfect? If you're Mia, when you see the slightest hint of trouble, instead of talking to your billionaire fiance, or trusting in him and what you've built together, you run. I was dumped right in the middle of the beautiful reunion of two lovers who should have never been apart. Unfortunately when you're as incredible as Greyson is (and he really was AMAZING), there's always someone out there who wants to see you fall.
Haters gonna hate and all that.
I loved that the author didn't make their reconciliation an easy one. It was an honest look at moving towards forgiveness and accepting the wrongs that each of them committed. Both Greyson and Mia had to work through their feelings of hurt and anger in order to really move forward. It was obviously hard but their love was more than enough to get them through and there was no lack of love in this book.
Did I mention how fantastic Greyson was? I really wish there was more of his POV in this story. I didn't feel like I was in his head enough. He was this strong, charismatic, intelligent, ethical and moral man so full of passion for his woman and I wanted to experience much more of that than I did. Maybe I'm just greedy. But he was so hot and how can getting more of his hotness be a bad thing?
I loved Mia and Greyson so very much and the only thing I didn't like about this story was that it had to end.Dirty Rich Betrayal was a smoking hot second chance romance full of feels, high in intensity, with touches of suspense to keep the plot more than a little bit interesting. There are more books to come in this series and I am crossing my fingers and toes hoping to see Greyson again!
Release: 09.26.2018 Genre: Contemporary Second Chance Romance/Romantic Suspense Dual POV - 1st person Heat: 3.5 Standalone: - Dirty Rich #4 with character crossover
A lot happened in this book, but I cannot get ps the fact that as usual, the h did not sleep with anyone during their break up, while the H did, because « he had to erase the images of her potentially having sex with another man from his brain ».... 🤦🏻♀️
Welcome back to Lisa's world of corporate high flyers, dirty deals and even dirtier relationships.
Mia and Grayson's relationship is complicated. Breakups and betrayals abound as our lovelies find their way back to each other.
I will say, I felt that the first 30% of the story went around in circles. I love you, you betrayed me, I hate you, I didn't lie - rinse, wash, rinse repeat. Mia and Grayson seemed to be caught in that loop.
And when it came round to it, was there any betrayal to begin with? Mia annoyed me with all her going on about that - but this could just be me.
I do love the spark and push/pull between Grayson and Mia, and through it all, I do want them to find their HEA, even when I want to slap their heads together and yell at them to snap out of it!
I did like them fighting to be together. Fighting those that are fighting against them. Giving a big middle finger to the world. I had to know what was happening next.
What I loved the most though was Grayson's friends. Oh, how I am impatient for their stories, especially Eric - hello, Navy SEAL.
The first time Mia meets Grayson, she literally runs into him in the middle of his families law practice she just joined. He's smitten right off the bat and pursues her. Mia hesitates because she doesn't want to be known as sleeping her way to the top.
This story actually begins after their relationship is over and they have been separated for one year. We know there has been a betrayal but not the details. The layout of this story is a bit different. It toggles back and forth between present and past and doesn't stay in chronological order when doing it. It worked because the author revealed pieces to their relationship in a strategic way and we learn things aren't what they seem.
I'm pretty much in love with Grayson. I love a man who knows what he wants and goes after it. He is the biggest reason I loved this book. Mia was a bit harder. I didn't dislike her, but his money was a big factor in their story. She worried too much that she would be perceived as being with him for it.
The threat to Grayson made for an exciting storyline and also gave us more of the Walker Security guys. It does end on a HFN but there are plans for a novella. I'm looking forward to seeing these two plan their future. ARC provided by author.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lisa Renee Jones. Dirty Rich Betrayal is the 4th book in the Dirty Rich series. I absolutely flew through Dirty Rich Obsession and expected the same from this book.
This is my least favorite of the series so far. I loved Grayson in Dirty Rich Obsession, but it was hard for me to connect with him + Mia because I felt like I was playing catch-up with their relationship. There was so much in their past that I had missed and having it slowly hashed out didn't work well for me. That being said, there was definite passion, and that could be felt from the start. They grew on me as a couple and by the end, I was completely in their corner.
One thing I did love about this book was catching up with Walker Security. It felt like a nice little prize when they showed up.
While reading I was really intrigued by Eric. I was hoping he would get his own book, so when I read at the end that he was not only getting 1 book but 2?!!!!! I want those books in my hands NOW!
I received an advance reader copy of this book that I have chosen to review.
Grayson Bennett. He's a billionaire, a lawyer, the king of the world to some. A professed lifelong bachelor. A man who took his father's business and fortune and turned marginal success into an empire. Now someone is threatening that empire and he's going to burn them to the ground. Okay I am in two minds about this book. On it's own I really liked it, the story line was interesting and engaging, the chemistry between the characters was wonderfully deep and emotional you could feel how much they loved each other and the sex was hot. As part of this series? The story line was a carbon copy of the others even down to the phrases, words, sentences and sex. So the moral to this story is try not to read this series one book after the other, or you will see the exact same books with different named characters in every one.
He's a billionaire, a lawyer, the king of the world to some. A professed lifelong bachelor. A man who took his father's business and fortune and turned marginal success into an empire. Now someone is threatening that empire and he's going to burn them to the ground. But he'll need the help of one person. He'll need her.
That woman is Mia Cavanaugh, criminal attorney, ex-lover, a woman who believes he betrayed her, a woman who could burn him to the ground, but she won't. Because she loves him. Because he loves her, and it's time that she sees the truth of the past.
Now, he's handing her the key to his future. He's giving her the chance to burn him to the ground. He's letting her see the real man beneath the surface that not even she's seen in the past. She has to decide what to do with that man. Love him or destroy him.

REVIEW: 4.5 stars--DIRTY RICH BETRAYAL is the fourth instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult DIRTY RICH romantic, suspense series. This is thirty-eight year old, billionaire businessman and attorney Grayson Bennett, and thirty-year old, criminal lawyer Mia Cavanaugh’s story line. DIRTY RICH BETRAYAL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. As per most of Lisa’s series, there is a slight cross-over with inclusion of some of the characters from the author’s Walker Security series.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Mia and Grayson) using present day and memories from the past DIRTY RICH BETRAYAL follows the rekindling romance between thirty-eight year old, billionaire attorney Grayson Bennett, and thirty-year old, lawyer Mia Cavanaugh. Three years earlier Mia Cavanaugh went to work for the Bennett Firm, an international conglomerate both inside and outside of the legal profession, a firm that the man with whom she would fall in love, currently owned and operated. Attorney Grayson Bennett knew immediately that Mia Cavanaugh would be the woman to tame is bachelor ways but betrayal, vengeance and mistaken beliefs pushed Mia out of his life, and into the arms of his most hated enemy. Fast forward to present day wherein Mia discovers a plan to destroy Grayson Bennett, a plan predicated on hatred and revenge. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Mia and Grayson, and the potential fall-out as Mia is caught between the present and past, as memories threaten to destroy their fragile hold on love.
Grayson Bennett has never stopped loving Mia Cavanaugh but someone from his past has set into motion a plan to destroy our story line hero. Mia Cavanaugh doesn’t know who or what to believe as the pieces of her heart continue to rupture but protecting the man she hasn’t stopped loving is Mia’s number one priority.
The relationship between Mia and Grayson is a second chance romance; a rekindling love affair that was destroyed by mistaken beliefs, revenge and retribution. Mia continues to be a little skittish as it pertains to the man that she loves, and she isn’t above running when things begin to overwhelm. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
Blake and Kara Walker, along with IT specialist Asher cross-over from the author’s Walker Security series. We are introduced to Mia’s boss Riley Montgomery, and supervisor Kevin Murphy Grayson’s best friends and business partners: Eric Mitchell, and Davis. Eric’s storyline will be told in the spin-off Filthy Duet.
DIRTY RICH BETRAYAL is a story of heartbreak and pain; betrayal and vengeance; second chances and falling in love. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the characters are charismatic, strong and dynamic; the romance is provocative and passionate. Lisa Renee Jones’ pulls the reader into an energetic and edgy story line about two people torn apart by retribution and hate.
"We are flawed, Mia, beautifully, perfectly flawed in the way all humans are flowed. Perfect is an impossible."
Dirty Rich Betrayal is sweet and lethal. That is the only way I can explain it. It is a second chance romance that is so much more than just a rekindle. There are so many obstacles in the way and despite what you think you want from them, every thing happens in its own time and on its way.
From the very beginning, I was enthralled with Grayson and Mia's story. Here we have former lovers who have gone through a massive break up that left them both devastated. While trying to move on, they both realize that it is impossible. When a threat happens against one of them, they are both thirst back into each others lives and it becomes explosive.
So in the beginning, I thought this was going to be cut and dry. They have a past. They have a second chance. It's done. However, I should have known better. Jones always delivers more. Nothing is easy and there is always just the right about of suspense that keeps you engaged and falling in love.
If you want something sweet but they have to work hard for it, then you need to read this. I really enjoyed it and hope that I might get more from the. Plus, I want Eric's story. I know you are going to hear this often Jones, so just get on it. I say that with the best love.
love this book so much especially the possessiveness and control of Grayson when it came to Mia.
The book starts with a misunderstanding something that separated Grayson and Mia for a while they both loved each other so much but people around them were trying to separate them at all cost.
Mia was a strong character, bold trying to show and prove that she wasn't plotting or trying to bring Grayson down.. circumstances show a different story making everyone believe she wasn't good. the only thing that is left is to solve this before they lose everything.
Grayson was a strong character, very determine and powerful.. always knowing what he wanted anticipating the next step. and when it came about Mia, he was always super protective.
Together Mia and Grayson made a great couple, I love how much I could feel the need for one an other.. they love between them..
it was a great story with great characters.. The narration was amazing I really love Erin Mallon and Joe Arden work they both really brought this story to life making the characters more enjoyable..
Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live, Lisa has done it again, introduced another passionate billionaire Grayson Bennett that is just so mine. This is a second chance romance, and is a dual point of view to from Mia and Grayson, with flashes of the past to bring us up to date. Mia thinks Grayson betrayed her with another woman at the office, so feeling insecure even though she was engaged to him, she left him. Now she has some important information that he has to know, so she goes to his house to visit him. There she learns that she left him for nothing and he hadn’t stopped missing or loving her. As we know with a LRJ romance there is always the excitement, danger and the really nasty baddies. So this a romance with sexual chemistry that exists between Mia and Grayson so hot I burnt my finger turning the pages. We also we have Blake and Kira from Walker Security giving a helping hand. So we have a woman who can look after herself and do anything to protect Grayson, and a hot sexy successful man that will do anything to protect Mia. Throw in an enemy that plays with the really bad guys. Now you have all the ingredients for a Lisa Renee Jones masterpiece for us to enjoy.

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lisa Renee Jones did not disappoint with the next book in her Dirty Rich series. This book has it all! It’s gritty, sexy, intriguing and will have you wanting more. I couldn’t put this read down, from the beginning I was pulled in by Mia and Grayson. Their chemistry and devotion to one another was spot on.
Mia is back in Grayson’s life after walking away twice. But she has to make sure he is okay, no matter what she still loves him. And once she gets there Grayson finally puts his foot down and tells her they need a chance.
Grayson is not letting Mia leave again without fighting for her. Too much has happened for him to let her walk away from them. But are they finally ready to let everything all out? And will they be able to fight Grayson’s enemy and be together in the end?
Dirty Rich Betrayal (Dirty Rich, #4) by Lisa Renee Jones When walking through a minefield one has to be on full alert. One wrong move and danger is instantly upon you. Dirty Rich Betrayal is the equivalent of said minefield and Grayson and Mia's relationship could prove to be it's casualty. Jones guides readers through broken hearts, endless betrayals and secret agendas. Can love survive a never-ending battlefield? How can there ever be love, if neither is able to trust? Betrayal is the anatomy of what leads to a broken heart, but at the core of this story is how to repair the damage. Mia and Grayson are an explosive road map to the beginnings a second chance. It's heartbreaking, dirty and heated but after the storm, blue skies await.
What a thrill! Jones takes us on an exciting and riveting rollercoaster ride. This story is filled with so many unexpected ups and downs and twists and turns. Heartache, passion, subterfuge, and love; I couldn’t put it down. I find myself falling more in love with each new book in this series. Each story is just as unique as the couples in them. Jones delivers such bold and dynamic characters, it’s impossible not to get wrapped up in their world. There was an element of mystery in this one that completely pulled me in. The suspense and the element of danger had me devouring this book. I’m eager for the remaining books in the series. It will be fun to revisit past couples and see where their stories have taken them.
I am over the moon with the Dirty Rich series, and Dirty Rich Betrayal takes the cake. Mia and Grayson are a dynamic couple. The hurt from the past still cuts deep for these two. You can feel their emotions and passions with the words LRJ's conveys. The thrilling ride we go on with our hopes that everyone comes out alive. The heat factor is a given and extremely hot! The chemistry between Mia and Grayson will be felt through your veins.
Dirty Rich Betrayal is my favorite so far and the series are an addiction I am happy to have. A top series that I will read over and over.
Grayson and Mia were a couple and neither of them have really gotten over the other. So, when she gets information that an enemy is out to destroy Grayson, she has to tell him. Even though it opens up old wounds and feelings.
I enjoy a well written second chance romance. This was definitely one that was compelling and interesting. You WANT the characters to be together and you are pulling for them from the beginning.
I'm looking forward to the next title and I recommend this one.
This was a pretty good book. It's a story of love, betrayal and reconciliation. Mia and Grayson have a complicated past but that's not going to stop Mia when she hears some disturbing news about Grayson. I read this book without having read the first 3 in the series but I still enjoyed it and understood what was going on.
I surprisingly liked this one🤭 a second chance romance where he literally tells her “you’re not getting away from me this time.”
I find Lisa Jones books always have elements of unnecessary drama and double standards (aka shes never sleeps with people and he does) BUT this was pretty mild in this book and I liked it!
Why is this writer so popular?? This was my first attempt at her work and - given the fact I couldn't stomach finishing it - there won't be another.
This thing reads like a bad serial. Everyone's reactions are so OTT and ridiculous. The h is a doormat to beat all doormats and the H is the epitome of generic 'Alpha' male with severe control issues. Just once I'd like a heroine to mean it when she swears she won't let the arseface hero get close enough again to hurt her. This pathetic cow had his tongue stuck down her throat and his hand latched to her breast before the first chapter ended. So much for backbone.
Also, she catches him with some naked tart, yet SHE is the one groveling for half the book? She's supposed to be this strong, hot-shot solicitor but turns to jelly around the H. She's so gone over him she probably climaxes if he sneezes or belches. And Jesus, double-standards much? They were separated a year - and you know the next step in this parade, right? She is celibate, he tries to f*ck her out of his system. Damn romantic, that. 🖕🖕🖕
Last point...I've said this before and I'll keep saying it. I need more reason than sexual chemistry for me to believe a couple belongs together. Based on what I read so far, these two are thirty-somethings going on age 13. They are so immature and their communication skills are shite. They should stay broken up because there is NOTHING between them beyond than animal attraction. True story. The first time they met, did the H think "Wow, this girl is so sweet/clever/funny. I really like her and I want more time together so I might learn more about her..."? Nah. He wants to f*ck her. Tries to suck her face off FIVE MINUTES into their meeting. Swear to the goddess, if a man ever did that to me I'd bite his tongue for him. I hate, hate, HATE pushy, controlling heroes who use sex to get what they want.
Clearly this is the kind of hero this writer favours, in addition to archaic double-standards and weak and needy heroines who will wind up barefoot and pregnant, stuck at home with the bairns whilst Mr. Man goes out and has a life. No clue why she's so popular. Looks to me like she needs to step out of the bloody Dark Age. Pity. I figured someone with her body of work could actually write. Silly me.
