We’ve all done it, salivated
Over a guy at the gym, imagined the unimaginable.
Wanted what we can’t have.

Only my fantasy has turned into an obsession.
Every night like clockwork he’s there.
Every night like clockwork I’m ready.

I’m not the kind of girl who does this kind of thing and
he’s exactly the kind of man that does.

He’s as sexy AF.
Dominant as all hell.

Firstly the h has a steady boyfriend since she was 15. He loves her and wants to marry her. But she is kinda bored and wants a break from the relationship for 1 year.
Then after some 9 months she meets the H in a gym and then they hook up. Both are attracted to each other. But when she sees her ex with a girl in a bar she is suddenly feeling angry. Wow. I mean she can hook up and flirt with other guys but when her ex does that she is angry.
And plus the h’s theory that there are two types of

When I tell you the hero gave me creepy rapist vibes, I’m not exaggerating. The hero went from sweet to having the most disturbing thoughts and conversations about the heroine you could ever imagine. If I ever heard a guy talk the way he did when the heroine was ignoring him, I’d have called the police.

“He shakes his head in disbelief. “You can’t just take whatever you want from good girls like her.”
I frown.”

Tully has been with her boyfriend since she was 15 years old. They have shared all their firsts through high school and college. In her eyes he is the perfect guy. The next step would be marriage but the thought of committing to Simon for the rest of her life right now is causing doubt in Tully's mind. She thinks they need to experience more, on their own, before making a decision to marry. Twelve months is what they agree to, they can do what they want with who they want and then they will pick ...more

It has taken me a few days to get my mind around what I wanted to say about Gym Junkie, or whether I wanted to say anything at all. I realise that others will not share my views but the more time I’ve spent thinking about this book, the more I realised I needed to write my review.

I enjoyed almost the first 25% of this book. It was hot and steamy and gave me more than one laugh. However, I began to feel rather uneasy as the story progressed, particularly in relation to a character called Meredith
So angsty... I love it!!!

I don't know what it is about TL Swan books but I love them. They're so angsty, and, while I don't usually do angsty, she writes them on a way that is so easy to read.

I LOVE BROCK!!! He is such an unapologetic alpha-male with the temperament (and temper tantrums) of a two-year-old. He's so adorable and frustrating at the same time. Tully, on the other hand, is such a good girl. She is always trying to do the right thing and feels so guilty for not feeling as much for he

DNF @ 15% Second hook up they have sex in gym shower he goes straight for anal without consulting with her...just surprises her during that act? Hell no and extremely unrealistic. Not to mention I'm not a fan of the h taking a year long break from her childhood sweetheart to explore the world but then gets upset when she sees her ex with someone else?! Fickle much? She wants her cake and to eat it too. Not OK, sister. 1*that's being generous * stars

Cute but nothing special

I liked this one. Maybe I have too high expectations for books that are over 3 stars, but I don't really care. 4 stars is a high rating, not all of the good ones deserve it. It has to be a great read for that!

Well, I mean, the book was fun at times and a bit boring at others. The characters were decent (no depth but fun at times) and the plot was pretty good as well (nothing special, but I'm not really looking for that in a romance (it's almost impossible to find anyway

I can't decide whether to continue with this.....

Heroine is a vacillating hypocrite who breaks up with high school sweetheart in order to travel and live before they marry and yet gets upset when she sees him out on a date after she got finger fucked by the new guy just the other night. And the H (who is not the high school dude) basically has anal with her without asking or preparing or anything during the first time they get it on. And then the h goes home and has a complete meltdown in the sh

I am torn about my feelings for this book. After reading Mr. Masters by this same author, and loving it, I thought I'd try something else. Gym Junkie was not Mr. Masters. I don't even know how I even finished this book, it's so so bad on one hand but there's just something I liked about it.

First of all, the hero is an asshole. He gets better towards the end but for most of the book, especially the beginning, he is an entitled jackass who deserves to get his balls cut off. And I don't m

Hands down, T.L. Swan writes some of the hottest stories with f*cking hot alphas!

Brock & Tully are the opposite in everything except in not wanting a serious relationship. Brock's never had the urge to want to settle down but when Tully comes into his life he might just change his mind.

The chemistry between Brock & Tully was H.O.T-especially one of the first scenes they are together in the gym bathroom. One thing that's for sure is that there are plenty of hot scenes but there's also some myst

I am beyond disappointed in this book. I had high hopes for this story line too, which it could have been a good one had Brock not been psycho, for lack of a better word!! I even feel like it started out with a good start, but with Brock's moodswings it just gave me whiplash! One scene he was what i would call endearing and in the next he was this overbearing, jealous ape! I really wish that i was about to enjoy this book and give it a great review, but unfortunately i just couldn't deal with Br ...more

GYM JUNKIE is Brock Marx’s story. And in true TL Swan fashion, she gives us another handsome, dirty-mouthed alpha-hole who hardly has a romantic bone in his body. Well, as commitment-phobe as he is, there’s no need for that anyway, or is there? So you see, a real catch of a man and every girl’s mother’s dream of a son-in-law. And still, it was so easy to fall for him. Well, I did, anyways. It’s just the kind of hero – flaws and all – that speaks to me … every damn time.

This author has really evolved form her first set of books! It has a 4.15 overall rating, but was surprised by so many one and two stars that popped up for this book when I looked at the individual ratings, because I enjoyed it!

Brock Marx, was like a super-de-duper alpha! I still don’t know if I love him or not!! He is the most unromantic romantic, yet I felt for him when his heart was broken. He was another strong silent type, and ex-military...swoon! Tully, had a really hard set of
How to explain this book... It was “different”.... it took me all day to read and though it was annoying the hell out of me I was invested enough that I continued to read it. This book is called Gym Junkie but the gym is literally only part of about .5% of this book. This book was absolutely all over the place. Tully was a true pain in the ass. She decides she needs a year break from her 10 year relationship before they get married and then obsesses over everything Simon does the entire time whe ...more

Ugh, i really hoped my friends were wrong.
I’ve read some other reviews before starting this book and they weren’t quite positive, but i thought “hey, this is T.L. Swan, i like her, what can go wrong?”. Unfortunately, this heroine is as exasperating as other readers portraited her to be and Brock Marx isn’t that lovely either. 😔

First of all, the premise is just wrong. Some couldn’t get past the first 30-40% of the book, just because little miss Tully just broke up with her nine years boyfriend, h

I go to the gym regularly and I'm sorry but that preposterous scene at the gym!! I just thought what a crock of sh*t!!!! He is on the rower and she is on the treadmill when the chain on the rower snaps (yeah right) and it gets tangled in her treadmill which makes her fall off and hurt herself.

BUT if that wasn't bad enough the sex scene that followed just had me rolling my eyes and thinking f*ck this sh*tty book and gave up. I'm pleased I did as reading other comments the second hook up is just a

Holy hotness Batman. This book is awesome.

Brock Marx owns me. I mean 💯 %.
And Tully. Wow. I’m also in love with tully.

In classic TL Swam fashion this book is life! All things great in a book is in here.
Alpha male who’s gun shy on commitment. Chaotically awesome heroine who digs the alpha-hole she meets at the gym.

I love the span of this book. You have sexy. You have all the feels. You have heart. You have intrigue and mystery. And a murder mystery.

I can imagine how many people would hate the hero and be pissed with the heroine. For me personally, all the flaws in the characters made those two very real.

The book is all over the place at times, with so much happening, with lots of back and forth... Again, Ms. Swan's language is noticeably repetitive and sometimes I spot same phrases used on just neighbouring pages, which means she really needs a good proofreader and a better editor... I don't want to give any spoilers away for the storyline, as the blurb is purposefully really vague - but I knew just from reading the prologue that Gym Junkie wasn't going to be a favourite read for me by this author. There was a lot going on in this story - Tully, Brock, another character that is integral to the storyline that I won't give details on due to possible spoilers, the suspense part playing out throughout. It was a very busy story.

Brock is a complete OTT alpha. He doesn't h

Brock loves to shower his woman with compliments, "...Brock kisses me quickly on the lips. “You look effing delicious,” he murmurs, his eyes drifting down my body again." To Brock nothing is off limits, “you want to have a conversation with me with,” I gesture to his groin, “with your ***k hanging out.” Seriously this man has no boundaries, "Brock is gone, and I walk up the hall to investigate. He’s urinating, the bathroom door is wide open. He looks up casually. I gasp. “Close the door will you ...more

I am so excited about this book, but more importantly this author! Once I started this book it was nearly impossible to put it down! I found myself unable to stop and found myself reading into the early morning hour and was bleary eyed the next day. It was SO worth it thpugh.

This story has everything a great book should have! It's packed with angst, heartbreak, humor, a touch of suspense and a super sexy storyline! Everything flowed smoothly and seamlessly, I was engrossed and captivated

Unfortunately this book just wasn't for me I just didn't connect or like Brock at all and Tully just infuriated me. Alpha man are usually my thing but at times this facet of his character was just over the top. Now Tully she's been with her partner for years and wants a break which they agree to however when she sees him flirting she just flips. Even though she's doing the same I get she may have been jealous but it was so inconsistent with her wanting the break in the first place.

Sadly a book

What in the actual f*** did I just read?

First, this can be read as a standalone but it makes the first part of the book difficult to follow. I have read the previous books, Dr. Stanton and Marx Girl, but it's been a long time and I didn't remember much of them. I didn't even realize they were part of this series at first. The author throws so much information at you in the first chapter - what felt like 30 characters, Brock's business that was only briefly explained, and a murder case tha

I love an alpha hole however Brock’s dominant nature was to the extreme. He was immature and bratty at times. You could tell he has never been in a relationship before, some of his actions were questionable, very childish. I liked Tully even though she was wishy washy. They do have great chemistry, volatile at times. I did feel this story was all over the place, a bit of a mess. The dirty banters and dirty times makes this a good read.
