This is a case of instant attraction with Judith Leslie and Peter Tenwick, Viscount Caxton, meeting at during her first ball. However, all does not run smoothly as Judith, in her genuine honesty, comments on his usual attire. Surprisingly, Peter finds her honesty refreshing and seeks her out. It soon becomes apparent to them both, that Judith's mother and Peter’s father, fell in love but married others, leading to them parents forbidding them to have anything to do with each other. Peter’s fathe ...more

Judith's first Season in London is something her mother has been planning for years. When Judith spots Peter, Lord Caxton, it is like at first sight for both of them. Treasure Her Heart drew me in from the start due to its playfulness, action and adventures even if it was a little stuffy at times since the book is set in 1832 in regency England. Judith and Peter have immediate chemistry when he shows up at her coming out ball just as most others are preparing to end the night. He’s dressed inappropriately and draws her attention immediately. Judith can’t resist, not

The story went from zero to a hundred really quickly. Mostly concerning the romance; complete insta-lovey; no bueno. The main leads seemed interesting enough; but not enough for to want to continue. Let them get to know each other before their lives are at stake & making crazy love declarations. Also the reasons for them not being together is so contrived.

A lawyer in real life, Marin McGinnis feeds the more creative part of her soul by writing romance and mystery. She's spent almost half her life in a tree-lined, unabashedly liberal suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. She's been married to the same great guy for over 20 years, and has one teenage son and three standard poodles.

While her very first manuscript will forever languish under the bed, the next one
