So overall I enjoyed this book. 3.5 star rating. My favorite part of the book was the last five chapters. To me those chapters were the most interesting, full of action, and the best chapters out of this entire book. They also wrapped up this duet series nicely. I was happy that Lochan and Rebecca got their HEA but I do wish they wouldn't have beat around the bush so much until then. One of the things that I really liked was the 5 month time jump with the journal entry and the incorporation of t ...more

This series is brilliant. I loved the first book and this one was as intense and spell binding as the first one.

Rebecca's whole world has changed, the events surrounding her are even more intense this time around and she needs to learn about her powers and control them to defeat Morgan and save her world. Rebecca learns what it means to wield both light and dark magic, while learning what it even means to be Fae.

She travels with Lochlan to the Shadowlands, where we meet Fe

*4 SEELIE STARS*

I’m so happy I decided to give this series a second chance, because this book was everything the first one didn't deliver!
Sizzling romance, strong heroine, lots of action? Check, check, check!

After complaining that the first book was a bit boring, Jill Ramsower definitely stepped up her game because this was the total opposite and kept me entertained the entire time.
Becca finally became a badass, Lochlan got me swooning and their chemistry was super intense.
I still loved the Arth

It was an exciting sequel and a wrapped up nicely. It was very intense and fierce. Was very happy Rebecca and Lochan got their HEA. Rebecca is strong and fierce, even without her necklace. She travels to the Shadowlands to find Fen and train. She gets a great friendship with Fen. Also, Ashley is back in the book again. Loved the connection between Rebecca and Lochan. The second book was quick paced and well accomplished. The series was wrapped up perfectly.

Twilight Seige was an exciting sequel.I loved the first installment of this duet and this one was as intense and spell binding as the first one. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters that are involved throughout this duet. The plot definitely thickened in this book . Becca is one strong and fierce character. She’s won’t be the damsel in distress and is willing to do anything to keep the people around her safe. The events surrounding her are even more intense this time around and she needs t ...more

I received this book for a review by Netgalley and the Independent Book Publishers Association to read it before publishing and to give my honest opinion. This book is a continuation of the first book in the series Shadow Play and really you have to read that one first. Although there is some explanation at the start of this one that may fill in some of the details, I don't think that you would get anywhere near as much out of it if you start with this one.
In book one Rebecca discovered that she had been chosen as a child by Merlin and had a part to play in saving both our world and the fae world. Not only had she been given a necklace that had gi

We're back with Becca and this time, things are even more intense. She needs to learn exactly what powers she is capable of now that she's realized what she is. Because Morgan is opening portals and it's going to spell bad news for Earth. So not only does she need to learn what she can do and master the newfound powers, she's on a short timeline to do so.

Traveling with Lochlan to the Shadowlands to help her learn what she's capable of is not an easy task. It's not safe out there, but thankfully

Rebecca's whole world has changed, and now it's up to her to save that world. As the threat of Morgan's Shadow invasion of Earth looms nearer, Rebecca must learn what it means to wield both light and dark magic, while learning what it even means to be Fae.

This sequel and conclusion to the Fae Games duet is similar to book one, in that it has a rich spread of obscure fantasy creatures, and a couple of very decent characters. The use of Celtic myth was very fun, and the various settings were inter

I loved the first installment of this duet! I thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters that are involved and we get to know throughout!

Rebecca is a strong, independent, fierce, and wise character that has to go through a lot of trials and tribulations that will ultimately lead her on a journey of self discovery. She must travel to dangerous places in order to learn the depths of her powers and how to harness them to become as powerful as possible! I absolutely loved getting to see the deeper par

At the end of Shadow Play, Rebecca was in a really bad place. I'm so glad I could just jump right into book two and watch her get right back on her feet ready to fight.

And by fight I mean go up against some of the most powerful Fae ever without fully understanding her powers or even knowing what they are. Enter Fenodree - exiled Fae that just might be able to teach Rebecca what she needs so that she won't die in the battle to come.

Her time with Fenodree wasn't just spent learning about her magi

I enjoyed the first book in the series, although it was a bit slow and was more of a setup for things to come. This book was better than the first. The first part was similar to the first book, but things got exciting in the last half. Becca is transitioning from human to fae and must deal with the consequences of that (like figuring out how to feed to maintain her powers). She is also pulled into a war she isn't prepared for. Things heat up with Lochlan, and the druids have more of a presence i ...more

Rating 3/5

After that cliffhanger ending in Book 1, I was beyond excited to delve into this sequel and find out how Bec lashes out and defends Earth. With her unique powers and room for fantastical character development, I expected a lot from the author. However, this fell through for me - the plot was no longer as adventurous as the first book despite the introduction of all these new characters. I think the main problem was that by making this a duet, it was a disservice to the storyline. This

Wow Twilight Siege is just a great as Shadow Play. This Duology was such a fun read and I will be going back to it a lot. Twilight Siege starts where it left off with the aftermath of what Ronan did to Becca. And Becca deciding to train to use her powers. Becca goes to ask Lochlan to help her train and they end up traveling to the Shadowlands. The Shadowlands arn't exactly safe but they find an ally in the form of the banished Fen and she promises to get him out. I love Cat and I love Ashley the ...more

Wow.
Just wow.
This was, BY FAR, one of the best books I've ever read. Jill does an AMAZING job of taking all of my favorite authors and genres and mixing them together to create a masterpiece. I seriously cannot give this series enough praise - I will say that I wish there were more than two books about Becca, because I'm at that stage where I'm not sure what to do with my life now and no other books can measure up at the moment...I AM look forward to reading Ashley's story, though!

Twilight Siege takes you through a magical tale interweaving Arthurian legend with fae lore and the author guides you through the vulnerability of Becca and gives you a spicy romance to boot.

Okay, so this book is super steamy. My favorite part of the book was the ending, it wrapped up perfectly. Twilight Siege does not need its first book to be read, but reading the first book makes this book so much better. So, I recommend reading both of them in order, but you don't have to. Book two was so m

This is an advanced copy from NetGalley...(only able to finish it today)

What can I say? Except its quite boring to me. The book has a very high rating. And from reviews here, seems many people enjoy the book. But, for me, its a different case. I have read better Fae based stories than this. One reason might be that I did not read the first one. I jumped straight to the 2nd one. Plus, too much lust... which is not accompanied by romance. Seems that is the main factor for Becca apart from saving t

Loved it and left me wanting more!

The plot definitely thickened in this book and I love how Becca grew and became more reliant on her own instincts. I think that is true of all of us as we acquire anything new. At first we go along with anything others will tell us but as we become more comfortable in our new talent we form our own opinions and become strong and steadfast to our beliefs. I sincerely hope there are plans to continue this storyline and this is not the last we hear of Becca.

Ugh...Two stars ...

I read the first book in the series with understanding that this was the authors first book. If you have read books in the fantasy genre, books about fae, fairies, and faery then you'll be able to tell this author took pieces of other books we've all enjoyed and wrote the first two books in this series. I am going to continue this series to see if she grows in her writings or continues to be less.
No emotions, just words.... is the best way I would describe this authors work s

I absolutely loved the way this story molded! Wow! Jill did such a great job finishing the story! I loved Becca and Lochlan! I was surprised with all hatbshe is and all she could do when she came into herself! I loved it! I also loved how she got closer to Cat. I think that the whole book flowed wonderfully I couldn’t put it down! I would definitely recommend this story to anyone who loves the Fae!

I read Twilight Siege in a day. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down! The pace of the book is fast and exciting, and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really loved Rebecca's character and of course Lochlan! The fact that the story is told in two books is great rather than have it go on and on. For anyone that likes/loves fantasy, I would highly recommend reading The Fae Games!! ...more

I loved this story even more than the first! There was so much detail about the realms and we learned that much more about Rebecca and her new found Fae abilities. I loved how she was the first of her kind and how she defeated Morgan le fay! A truly amazing book that any fan of fantasy/fae and different realms will fall in love with! (Also loved how the adult content was snuck in with just the right amount of steamy scenes.) One of a kind!

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I read the first book in this duet. This book has a bit of a better pacing then the first one, but the first one did a lot of setting the scene for the world and the background. I really like Becca and all the things that she discovers about herself. Becca is with Lochlan since she found out somethings about Ronan. This is the conclusion to the duet, but there are other books coming in the same universe. Looking forward to those.

This captivating story was fast-paced and dripping with mystery and collusion. As the plot slowly exposed the villains in this narrative, Rebecca seemed to mature and gain more self-confidence. I particularly enjoyed Lochlan and Rebecca's journey to the Shadow lands with its impressive creatures and many dangers. Amazballs!!!

Read book one first.
A sweet romance in the face of danger, filled with desire and suspicion, makes it hard to build romance. While a battle in the beyond wage that can face the distruction of all mankind. Not only can love survive, but can teach a way to conquer a vindictive acient in the Fae world.
