The family moved there soon after Rylan was born in North Dakota. Rylan loves riding his scooter outside, but he has been thinking about his dad, who is out of the country, working. Even Rylan's ...more

This is a work of love about a big family move and is dedicated to military families who have to move home during their service for their country.
Rylan and Henry already exist as a story book and they are centre stage in this short tale about preparing for and embarking on that move, lock, stock and barrel.
Rylan is only 5 so these concepts are new to him and he has only really known their home in Alaska. The whole process seems daunting and surely nothing can compare with where they currently

Thank you @netgalley and AuthorHouse for the review copy of this book. This book is part of a series. It's really a great children's book that talks about moving families and the journey and adventure they have while they move from place to place. The story is about Rylan and his pet mouse who has to travel to South Carolina from Alaska. Rylan is unsure of the move but is trying his best to not let his worry of moving to a new place stop him from

I thought that this was a lovely book.

The author tells the story in the book of a military family who is moving…again!

This will be their third move and this one will be a long journey that they are taking which will involve them driving long distances over a few days.

I liked how the story focussed on Rylan and his “pet” mouse – Henry and their friendship and his worries that he will be leaving Henry behind.

I thought that the images suited the book, but they were a little dark at times and

Moving Again!!! with Rylan and Henry is a children’s storybook written and illustrated by Christy Jordan Wrenn. The author depicts the story of a military family who is moving…again! This will be their third move, and this will be a long journey that they are taking. The author focuses the story on young Rylan and his “pet” mouse – Henry.
Moving Again is the first book that I have read by Christy Jordan Wrenn. When I first read through the book I felt like the book had some moments of where it

Moving Again!!! With Rylan and Henry by Christy Jordan Wrenn
Children's book about a military family living in Alaska. Ryan is the young boy who has a pet mouse that he takes everywhere with him.
Husband had moved 18 times before I had met him, we moved into an apartment together, and then a house shortly afterwards. Not sure how much more we will be moving, hope never.
One night at dinner their dad arrives home after being deployed for many months. They get to spend time with him til they learn

Eight days on the road was too long for three children, Mom and Dan, and of course, a mouse named Henry.

Rylan lives with his family in Alaska and when is father comes home from leave in the armed forces, he tells his family they are moving to South Carolina. Over 4,000 miles of driving, things to see, and hopefully nothing gets lost like a mouse named Henry. Rylan and his family have mixed emotions about leaving, but like good parents, both mom and dad ease their children's fears and look

A good book about moving for children having to do so.

I found the story to be interesting but not exciting. I enjoyed the parts with Henry. The traveling portion of the book seemed a bit stiff.

Too much of the story was devoted to the car ride. I would like to have seen more about how Rylan was feeling. It would also be good to know about the things he would ;miss from Alaska or hopes about what might be waiting for him in South Carolina.

As someone who moved 54 times as a child, it is much more

This is a well written and illustrated children’s book about having to move. It was dedicated to those families In the military who often have to move many times. This book would be great for any child who is facing a move or reading in general. The illustrations are bright, colourful and will definitely be able to hold children’s attention. The narrative is age appropriate and I enjoyed the writing style. I liked that the book was from a child’s point of view. I think children relate well to ...more

Well I could relate to this book. We moved 15 times our 16 years of marriage. Our oldest daughter went to 12 different schools before graduating. I thought this is a great book, much needed, for families like mine. Children could really benefit to have a story like this read to them, before facing such a life changing move. Rylan is a young five year old leaving all that he knew, to drive thousands of miles and relocate because his dad is being transferred again. I appreciated Christy Jordan ...more

One thing that is constant in a military family is moving. Moving is always difficult but when you have to do it all the time it is really hard because it is like starting again from scratch: new house, new neighbours, new school, new friends, etc.
The pictures looked like if they have been made by a child which will attract more attention from them.
I liked the map; that would help children to learn about different countries and where they are situated.

I'm not a kid anymore but if you know me, you know that I like to pretend sometimes. *smiles* Anyway, moving on with this review, I enjoyed this book. I loved the hand-drawn pictures which included vibrant colors and small details. The plot was great, simple enough for a small loved one to read. Parents should definitely pick this book out for its theme. The theme was really something!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really, really wanted to love this book. It is such a necessary story for children of military families. However, it was just not professionally illustrated or written. It took me a while to figure out that an adult had illustrated and written it. I honestly thought it had been done by a child.

The story is about Rylan and Henry that moving house to Alaska with their family. A good one for lightread tho I not sure whether it's interesting or not. Just, flat?

Nothing too fun, but not that boring. Hmmm...
