I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Blake is a retired SEAL. He has great friends and loves working in security. While doing a drop for some people they were protecting, he meets the feisty Tori.

What ensues is a series of events that lead Blake to second guess who Tori says she is. There are two different mysteries in this story and I think they pla

Tori Michaels is desperate. Her husband Ken, former military, suffered from PTSD and died leaving her the sole support of their son. Her boss has told her that unless she gets an interview with former SEAL Blake Sorenson, she will lose her job. She and her six-year old son Isaiah have already lost their home and now may be evicted from their rental. Tori takes a chance and gets in Blake’s helicopter as he is leaving to deliver supplies. Blake works for PTS security and the supplies are for the “ ...more

This is one series where I've actually enjoyed each successive book over the previous one and this third installment in the series was a great, HOT read! I really liked the duo of Blake and Tori as they played off each other's personalities well to create a strong couple, though it was pretty rocky at a couple of points. That isn't to say this outing was perfect because there was one HUGE plot point especially that was problematic but honestly even though I recognized it, it didn't really bring ...more

An ex-military love story between Blake former SEAL and single mother Tori. If Tori wants to keep her job she must interview Blake but there is a problem bleak doesn't do interviews and because her future depends on the job she jumps in a helicopter with Blake and their adventure begins. Their lives are jeopardized, bad men are after them and Blake has to make sure that Tori is not involved in some bad things. Of course in between the commitment-phobe and a girl who sworn off the military men's ...more

Tori is a widow with a six year old son. She gets a job at a magazine and her first assignment is to interview Blake. Blake is a former SEAL, helicopter pilot, and was honorably discharged after getting injured. When he refuses the interview, Tori jumps in the copter before he takes off. He is delivering some supplies to his bosses that are protecting a man and his family. When they are attacked, they believe Tori had something to do with it. This was my first book by Dixie Lee Brown and I really enjoyed it. The main characters were interesting and relatable. I found the plot to be exciting with lots of twists and turns, and some really serious pitfalls, before a nice ending. The peripheral characters made me want to read their stories in this series too! Overall, I would definitely recommend this book.

Thank you to the author, her publisher, and goodreads for a free copy of this book. Opinions expressed are unbiased and all my own.

Tremendously good story for Blake and Tori! When Blake is confronted with his stowaway noisy reporter his life begins to take a turn. This high red heel stilleto weilding woman and her son will take this former military man to his knees. Danger us all around these two and Blake is fortunate to have a security team to help him. I wish there were other stories in this series.

Again, this was a great story.

I haven’t read the other Dixie Lee Brown’s Hearts of Valor series, but this one was action packed. I could not stop reading because of the roller coaster ride this book took me on. Blake is part of a new security team made up on retired Seals, and Tori is a reporter looking for a story. This premise leads to so many twists and turns but thoroughly enjoyable. Really enjoyed this read and will read the others.

PTSD is different for everyone, some become successful and others have tragic endings. Tori's husband had difficulty adjusting and therefore she'd sworn off a future with a military man. One little assignment to interview a hero, Blake, turned her world upside down. Blake's team came together to help fight the unknown enemy, and struggled to find the reasons for the attack. There's plenty of action, intense suspense, mystery and heated romantic encounters that make you blush. Definitely somethin ...more

Toni Michaels is a widow and single mom to six-year-old Isaiah. She has been assigned the task to interview former Navy SEAL and and current PTS Security agent Blake Soreneson for Everyday Heroes magazine. If she gets the interview she is sure she will be hired full-time at the magazine. She really really needs this job. She's lost her home and moved into a rental, but doesn't have enough money in the bank to pay this month's rent. She WILL get this interview! But Blake Sorenson doesn't give int ...more

Another great read in this series and as book three it is also a standalone read. This one about Blake and the action and adventure he goes on to get involved with Tori and her son Isaiah. It involves a lot of the security team but easy to follow along on the story.

Once again Dixie Lee Brown has written a book that is an emotional rollercoaster ride. From bad guys making things go ‘bang’ to soldiers dealing with PTSD, this book will leave you breathless in some places and emotionally ravaged in others.

Blake’s job and focus is protecting innocents from those that would hurt them. The problem is, Blake isn’t sure if Tori is an innocent, or one of the baddies. All is sure of is that the chemistry between them is off the charts.

Blake intrigued me when he was

**I received a copy of For the Love of a SEAL from Net Galley and Montlake Romance in exchange for a voluntary and hones review**

For the Love of a SEAL by Dixie Lee Brown is the third book in her Hearts of Valor series. I've read all of them and feel like this could be read as a stand alone even though all of the characters from PTS security have a part in this story. This is a solid four stars but I'm curious who will get their story next?

This is my first book from this author and I will definitely read more. This book is a standalone from the first two in the series but besides some characters from those books, the story stands by itself. And what a good story it is! It's nicely paced with all the good stuff I look for in a romantic suspense. Blake and Tori have an instant attraction, sort of, and it's a treat watching them light up finally. Blake is the perfectly imperfect and sexy protective hero I love to read about and Tori ...more

Book three of Hearts of Valor, gives us the story of former SEAL Blake Sorenson, one of the members of PTS Security. He’s a pilot with his own air charter company and a man many consider a hero. He’s private , divorced and has no desire to have a serious relationship.
Tori Michaels is a single mom trying to make a living as a reporter so she can support her son and herself, a widow of a military man, and definitely has no desire to getting involved with another military man.

Tori Michaels is a widow trying to earn a living to support her young son, Isaiah. Her husband was a veteran with PTSD who took his own life. That’s left a lasting effect on both of them. Tori has a journalism degree & is trying to get a job as a reporter. Her first assignment is to try to interview Blake Sorenson for Everyday Hero’s magazine. From the moment she met Blake, her life became a series of mishaps & terror. Was it related to Blake’s job or something else? Will either Blake or ...more

I am so happy I received a copy of Dixie Lee Brown’s book For The Love Of A Seal. This is my honest review of the book.

First off, I love stories about military characters, especially ones about Navy Seals. This book has action, lots of hot alpha males and strong women too. Throw in the hotness of attraction and steamy scenes and it makes for a very enjoyable read.

Wow Dixie Brown did it again. Man I love this woman’s Seals.
Blake is so strong and bull headed. Love and forever is not in his vocabulary.
Tori has been raising her young son alone after tragedy struck.
Needing a job to keep a roof over her sons head, Tori goes to work as a report for ‘Hero Magazine’.
When she goes to meet and try to interview Blake, Blake set to never do interviews and doesn’t have time for any female BS.
As Tori stows away on Blake helicopter when he is headed on a missing they c

After looking over the other reviews, I'm clearly the odd one out in not caring for this book. So take that with a grain of salt. I will say that I loved the previous book in this series.

The biggest issue I had with the book was that for someone who owns a security company, I found Blake to be really stupid. LOL Probably not the right word, but still that's how I felt. Let's start from the first chapter. Strange woman shows up at his office, tells him she's a reporter and then when she climbs in

For the Love of a SEAL is book three of Dixie Lee Brown’s Hearts of Valor series and I’d like to start by saying that I have thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole and each story and the characters portrayed. Unfortunately this story has questionable gaps, such as Blake’s easy acquiescence to a pushy reporter when visiting a supposed safe house. Really? Didn’t anyone else find this rather ridiculous behaviour by an Alpha protector type? I must admit that this lapse in credibility made it hard ...more

For the Love of a SEAL is the third novel in Dixie Lee Brown's Hearts of Valor series and it's the second novel in the series I've read. Since I absolutely loved the second book in the series, I had high hopes for this one, and while I liked it marginally less than the previous novel, it was still a very good read that kept me turning pages until 4 a.m., and it gets 4 stars from this reader.

Tori Michaels is the widow of a former military man and has a son, 6-year-old Isiah--she's low on money an

I've read all of Dixie Lee Brown's books, and with each new novel, I end up with a new book boyfriend. First and foremost, I am all about character development when I read a book. If I can't get invested in the characters, it's a hard sell for me. Upon meeting Blake in MacGyver's story, I wasn't crazy about him...although by the end of the story, his motives for selling Mac and Kelly out were clearer. But in this book, I saw a whole new snarky side to this character that made him so much more lo ...more
