This was a cute little read. Safe and sweet. If you're looking for an abundance of steam, you won't find it here. I will say that I wanted to shake the mess out of both the heroine and the hero at one point or another, but that's just me. I wish the hero showed some alpha tendencies.

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama
-some pushing away
-no violence of a sexual nature
-safe, neither with others after meeting
lackluster epilogue

A very enjoyable well written short steamy romance. It has suspense, angst, drama, romance, and some steamy sex. A wonderful story of two lost people that are lonely and desperately needing love and a HEA. Sophia falling into despair financially with no family left decides to answer an add for mail order bride. Hunter wanting his mother's last wish of him not being alone before she passes posts an add for a mail order bride. Bringing Sophia that was a match from Ireland city to American mountain ...more

I loved this novella very much :) Hunter and Sophia's chemistry was off the charts off sexy, steamy, intense, funny and HOT ;)

This short read had everything I look to read in a good story; from funny moments, to sexy moments, to emotional moments, to romantic and passionate moments. It also had sweet moments and it felt real. This story expressed realism and it was honest when it came to the heartache scenes as well. This story was simply wonderful and the author, Kelsey King did an awesome job

So you know what? I enjoyed the story. The author does a nice job. I was feeling the good stuff and emotions and then I hit somewhere around the 90 percent mark. I gave Hunter the benefit of the doubt, but he just failed me in the end. He’s weak and there isn’t much more I can say about that. He’s not a possessive alpha male that the author says she writes. He just sits there and waits for life to happen. Frankly I thought it was pathetic and that’s just not a book hero I can get b

I really enjoyed reading this book. The story is unusual, but interesting and flows logically. The characters are very likeable. Hunter finds himself in a position where he wants to ease his mother’s mind about his future before she passes away. The only way he can see to do that is to arrange for a mail-order bride. Sophia has been unhappy and struggling since the passing of her mother. Hunter and Sophia find a solution to their problems with each other. Can they be happy together? Will their r ...more

Two people one wanting to please his dying mother, the other escaping her debts and life, apply to a marriage on line dating app. Commence the romance. I was expecting a little more. He was not ALPHA in any way what so ever, he felt a little slow and soft for my tastes. Sophia was OK, but the whole book was missing something, the book was boring, like a hamster running on a wheel. The passion in the book was a little lack luster if you want my honest opinion. Hunter and Sophia turn out to be the perfect couple. This was a fated match, considering that Sophia is a city girl in Ireland, looking for a way out of the situation she finds herself in. Hunter has run to the mountains to hide away from the daily grind of city life, but needs a wife to please his dying mother. Neither one are really comfortable with the whole mail-order bride or the internet situation they find themselves in, yet both follow through and do it. Of course they are matched and th ...more

Hunter is our mountain man secluded away from everyone and then his mother becomes ill and her dying wish is that he married. Meanwhile Sophia is drowning in debt and so turns to mail order bride service to try to eradicate her debts. This is how they meet. I am loving this series! The book title pretty much explains the premise...a man who is content living a fairly secluded and solitary life ends up with a mail order bride to fulfill his dying mother's wish.
Hunter needs needs a bride and Sophia, who's about to be homeless, needs a savior. The two match up online and email as a way to get to know each other before meeting face to face.
What sounded like any other mail order bride story was made more by the author's ability to focus on and explore

A sweet and lovely read, lots of emotions and well written connection between Hunter and Sophia. My reason for not giving 5 stars is that I was left with two unanswered questions which I wanted answered, I'll not say what as it would give away spoilers and I don't like to do that. My interested was held from start to finish.

A well written romance with nice storyline and plot. Characters well described. He is a bit to laid back for my liking. He waits for everything to come to him and do not go out to make it happen. But their chemistry ends well and in spite of the short story it is captivating and enjoyable to read it.
It is written in dual POV, which gives the reader much more of the feelings and thoughts of the main characters.
Recommendable read.

For an only child to have to contemplate the thought of his mother 's impending death is hard enough but to have to find a wife so she can feel settled is even harder. So Hunter does as his mother asks and goes online to find a mail order bride because he thinks it will be simpler than going on those dating sites and faking an engagement. Great book and I can't wait to finish it.

A well-written story that I enjoyed reading. Hunter and Sophia both have a reason to signup for a mail order service. Hunter, so he can make his Mother's last wish happen and Sophie, as she needs to get away from her debts after her Mother's long illness and death. I found myself smiling at some of the things that happen between them. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
