Submission Games
It was only supposed to be one night…
Noelle Keene tries to stay away from the Krinar. Even after her best friend fell head-over-heels for one of the mysterious aliens, Noelle doesn’t trust the lethal invaders, especially since her small town upbringing has taught her to fear the worst. Besides, alpha males just aren’t her type. But when a handsome one-night-stand follows her from New York to West Virginia, there’s only one way to protect her family from the dangerous K. Noelle strikes a simple deal: one month. She’ll be all his for one month, and then he’ll leave her alone forever. But this isn’t a game, this is a hunt, and nothing will stay simple for long. With unrest brewing and Noelle caught in the middle, will her plan to save everyone cost her everything?
This novella is a companion to Domination Games, but can also be read as a standalone.

Another hot and sultry Krinar romance! In this stand-alone companion to Domination Games, Ari’s conservatively-minded best friend, Noelle Keene, is trying to forget her unforgettable “one night stand” by running home to the small town of Buffalo Creek. The townsfolk don’t like strangers there, and they especially don’t like aliens. So when Noelle’s tall, dark, and handsome Krinar lover follows her home, he causes quite the discontent. Noelle has to juggle insecurities about being “that girl”, her parents prejudices about the Krinar, and her own burgeoning feelings for the bossy K whose companionship is only supposed to be temporary.
Noelle’s Krinar lover, Navur, is protective, controlling, and dominating to the max! He scores an ELEVEN on a scale of 1 to 10! Witness this:
A) “What are you doing here? I thought we had an arrangement.” “We did,” the creature purrs, smooth as velvet. “But that was before I knew how fun you and your sweet little pussy were going to be.”
B) “I may not be a human man,” the K says in that deadly purr ... “But by the time I’m done with you, you’ll never be able to settle for one of those weaklings again.”
C) “I want you to remember me every time you sit today. I want you wet every time you move and feel the pain of my possession. I want you to wear what I did to you everywhere you go.”
Whew! Ms. Baez is on FIRE again! And an added dimension to this story, that I appreciated, was the bold spotlight on xenophobia. Clearly, distrust of “others”, whether other cultures, other religions, or other species is a societal struggle that is uncomfortable yet worthy of our discourse. Ms. Baez shows us that even a light-hearted romance novella can force us to consider what it means to be “human”.
(This is my sincere and unsolicited opinion on an author-provided ARC.)

Loved this.
I love the Krinar World books.
But I was apprehensive to read a Krinar book from an author other than Anna Zaires. But surprisingly this was nice.

I enjoyed the H bc he was so obsessed with the h. When they were together it was really hot. However, I didn't like the h. She was too self-centered.

I love the chemistry between Noelle and Navur. From their first meeting I knew I would love them together. There was a cuteness and fun side to them and of course a very romantic sexy side.
I would definitely recommend this book.
This is my first time reading a book from this author and I am looking forward to reading more.

4 Stars for Submission Games
Meet Noelle Keene, a former food critic whose’s left New York City, and her Big City dreams behind, to return to the monotony of life in Buffalo Creek, West Virginia. Working a library job isn’t what she wants, but it’s all she’s got. The one thing she clings to is that hot, confusing night with a K before she makes her way back to Buffalo Creek, to be with her family. All is quiet and life for Noelle is mundane, until a K pops up in a K-Free region of the US, and the town is a-buzzing. Noelle soon discovers that the visitor is there for her and her one-nightstand is not the one night she thought after all...
Noelle and Navur’s chemistry is blazing fire! Navur takes his time acclimating Noelle to a potential relationship, helping her realize the unruffled good girl exterior masks her darker need to submit to Navur’s brand of kink.
I really enjoyed reading Noelle unravel as she realizes pretty quickly that this game is for keeps whether she wants it or not. But the question remains, how will Noelle and Navur get there?
I really enjoyed this story and was a little saddened on its length. There was a lot of meat to deal with in this story and I felt that the novella length didn’t do it justice. I wanted to feel the towns prejudice (hatred) of Navur more acutely and possibly a little drawn out to get a better sense of Noelle’s inner conflict. I also wanted this to be another layer of angst between Noelle and Navur. The turmoil Noelle endures to deal with her own conflicting feelings about Navur, as well as how others in her town will perceive this as betrayal and disloyalty needed to be fleshed out further. This however, did not take away from Noelle and Navur’s chemistry and I loved how Navur knew exactly what Noelle needed.
Well done Ms. Baez! I love Noelle and Navur and want more on this couple!

I love the Krinar world created by Anna Zaires and am delighted to read more stories set in that world. This novella centers around a character that first appeared in this author's Domination Games, which I have not read yet. I was easily able to read this story without having read that one but if you like to read things in order you might want to start with that one.
I tend to like romances where the couple make a deal to be together and part ways at the end of the agreed upon time, like this one does. At first I thought the reason for Noelle making this deal was a little weak but it made more sense by the time I finished the book. I really liked the theme of prejudice explored in this story. Noelle's issues with following through on the deal she made, though understandable and explained, kind of irked me, I think partially due to the length of the story - her being upset meant there were almost no interactions between her and Navur where she wasn't struggling with being with him. Their sex scenes were hot and of course Navur has the delicious possessiveness and alpha-ness that I absolutely love in K heroes. Really, in the end, I liked nearly everything about the novella, but I think the reading experience may have been better served by a longer, more in-depth look at each of the ideas the author incorporated. I enjoyed the writing style and will definitely go back and look to see what else this author has available, including reading the aforementioned Domination Games.
I received an ARC copy of this novella, but ended up borrowing and reading it from the Amazon KU program due to personal device issues. I am voluntarily leaving my review.

Food critic Noelle Keene quit her dream job in New York City and moved back in with her parents in Buffalo Creek for a fresh start. It's been 3 months since Noelle left New York but she can't forget her one night of wild fun with handsome Krinar botanist Navur. Turns out Navur hasn't been able forget either when he shows up in Buffalo Creek and tells Noelle “I had you once, and then I wanted more. And here I am, ready to finish what we started.” Noelle agrees to be Navur's for 30 days if he'll leave her alone afterwards but is wracked with nerves. Navur asks Noelle "Would you feel the same if I were a human man?” and Noelle answers “No, I probably wouldn’t.” Navur tells Noelle “I may not be a human man, but by the time I’m done with you, you’ll never be able to settle for one of those weaklings again.” What happens when Noelle realises she's falling for Navur, and their time is almost up?

As stated in the blurb, this could be read as a standalone, but it would be very beneficial to read Domination Games first. I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Submission Games is CRAZY sexy. I definitely think it is the most erotic of all the Krinar novels I have read. It is a self-contained story in a novella, but I like that it wasn’t insta-love (at least for the heroine), unlike most novella length romances. As usual, I wish it was longer. But I have never been a huge fan of the shorter length novels.
Submission Games is a fantastic one-sitting book that will leave your panties wet and your nether bits tingling. I definitely recommend picking up this book as soon as it is released, on July 31st, 2018. Bonus, it will be available on Kindle Unlimited!

Noelle has abandoned her life in New York and returned to her childhood home in West Virginia to live with her parents and make a fresh start. She wants to forget everything about her old life, even the passionate night she shared with a Krinar! But when Navur makes his appearance and demands a month with her, she can't deny him. Her parents and most people in town hate the aliens and soon she is caught in the middle. Will she accept her feelings and fight for her love or will she allow prejudice and fear to separate her from the man she loves? Noelle and Navur have amazing chemistry and I loved them together! A beautiful love story with a plot full of twists! I also loved the author's message against prejudice!

This book is about Noelle, the best friend of Ari from Domination games. Now that her best friend has moved to another planet with her Kinar lover Noelle has decided to move back home to Buffalo Creek. Before leaving New York she goes to a club and hooks up with a K. And this K is now stalking her. He can't get enough of her but she's afraid of what people will think if they know she's in a relationship with one. So she pushes him away but he doesn't give up that easily. She grants him thirty days for him to get over his lust and he agrees. After their agreement begins things go crazy! The book was really good and the ending was very surprising a great read.

Noelle is a food critic down on her luck, so she has gone to her quiet hometown to live with her parents.
When she notices she's being watched she's a little freaked, when she realises it's a 'man' she had a one night stand with she's even more freaked as his a K.
I enjoyed this story, I stayed up till 130 to finish it!
I connected more with Noelle than I did with Nevar, K men are very alpha and a tad bossy and Nevar is both of these, his also rather dominant in the bedroom. Now I love a bit of a dom in my books, but alien or not it's nice to ask your partner if they're into that too, but being a K I suppose he thinks his above that. He came across as perfect and in the right all the time, I would have preferred he made a minuscule error somewhere but then his not human....
A entertaining and sexy read based in the krinar world, it ended rather abruptly in my opinion, but there is a short epilogue to soften ending.

I like my fun-time reading the way I like my Krinar men—hot and dirty and with a sense of humor. Francesca delivers another steamy, well-written Krinar World installment with Submission Games, delivering humorous as well as thought-provoking moments amid the possessive alien kink. Nicely done!

The Krinar do not have an easy time with the humans hating them so much. In this story Navar a krinar loves a human girl and meets enormous opposition to his relationship. Even to some extent by his beloved. This is a very intense and well written story that I really enjoyed. I cant get enough of these stories about the K's.

When a Krinar male is obsessed with a beautiful female he will not quit until he gets what he wants!
The dominance of Navur is so freaking HOT! He reminded me a lot of Korum the first Krinar we readers met in the Krinar Chronicles. Navur would not give in, he had one very HOT night with the beautiful Noelle and he was hooked. She left New York to go back to her hometown and live with her parents. Navur followed her because he wanted her. Noelle was very concerned that she would be caught with him because her small town did not trust the K's as they call them. So she finally gives in and told him she would give him a month to be his! This novel was so goood I really enjoyed reading it. I had a hard time putting it down. It was a real page turner. Francesca is a new author to me and I loved the way she brought the Krinar World to life. I will definitely read more of her books!!

I have read all of the Krinar and Krinar World stories so I was excited to read this one. However, it was a bit lackluster for me. The beginning was slow to read and I did not feel connected to the characters. Noelle returns home to Buffalo Creek after leaving her dream job and New York City. Navur is the Krinar that Noelle had a one-night stand with. Neither has forgotten the other and it comes as a huge surprise when Navur shows up in Noelle’s hometown searching for her. Once the halfway point was passed, the storyline picked up as Noelle agreed to spend thirty days with him under the proviso that after the time is up, he will leave her alone for good. As the deadline of their time together approaches, does Noelle really want Navur to go?
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

I really love the krinar series so when I was offered this book as an arc I jumped at the chance... Noelle is a food critic and is having a run of bad luck so has moved back to her hometown to get some space and live with her parents.
Having had a one night stand previously she is shocked when she realises she is being followed... then realises it’s the person she had a one night stand with.... then finds out he is a K!
I loved this addition to the series and look forward to reading more
* to get an overall understanding to this book I would suggest reading domination games first although this can be read as a stand-alone

Better than Domination Games
F. Baez' first book in Krinar World.
There is truly a submission plot from the appearance of Navur to the end. Navur tracks down Noelle after she leaves NYC following her one last fling at a K-club.
Once they meet at her hometown, he makes her an offer she can't afford to refuse.
There are some not so mild dom-sub scenes. Just juicy enough if you like that sort of thing, but not overtly heavy, if you're not.
A well rounded story overall, that I read through in one sitting.

Great story for a new to me author. There was a sense of fluidity in this version that I enjoyed immensely. Having not a lot of experience with the Krinar World, I did not feel lost. The characters had great chemistry and were enjoyable. I will look into further works by this author in the future,

The domination and submission tale of Noelle and Navur is one that will definitely make your sexual appetite rise. We already know how the Krinar can overwhelm a human woman once they decide on one. This story is very interesting and well written. Highly recommend.

Fabulous
Yet another great ‘Krinar’ alien romance story. I adore these aliens, the author brings them to life with her characterisation plus you can’t help feeling for the humans in this subtle war dance. Well written.

3 1/2 stars. There is a lot packed into this novella: a dawning romance, xenophobia, struggling to comes to term with a side of yourself that doesn't quite fit the idea you have of yourself, and hiding a relationship you know your family and community will not approve. It carries most of it off well, though if it was a little longer I think some of those themes could have been developed a bit more. While there was plenty of sexual chemistry, I thought there was something missing in their emotional connection. It may have helped if that encounter had been included as a prologue.
Other than that there is suspense, drama, romance, and well depicted characters. You get a lot for your money.
