Good lord, is this series EVER going to end? It started out as a trilogy, and then became a double trilogy, and now it's going to be at least eight books. And we ALL know that the author isn't going to give up once Ryan's story has been told, because obvious Marj is going to have to have her OWN books too (), so this "trilogy" is likely going to have at least ten books in it before we're done. I had better stock up on alcohol now, because like a moron, I agreed to buddy read these books with a friend (back when it was still a "trilogy"), and I'm stuck. :|

On the one hand, this book is slightly better than some of the others in the series, because there is actually ACTION and a PLOT in this book. Sort of. The big "mystery" that has apparently hooked a lot of readers (not me...I am beyond all hope and enjoyment when it comes to these books, and I only continue due to keeping a promise and some perverse sense of amusement that I get from reading bad fiction, apparently) has a few twists and turns, but I can't say that any of them were SURPRISING to me.

But whatever gains this book made in the plot department are lost in the shoddy writing and the general ridiculousness that is this series.

Apparently this book is supposed to be "erotica," but it manages to contain some of the least sexy scenes that I have EVER read, and I have read some really god-awful sex scenes in my day. Jonah and Melanie are supposed to be seasoned adults - Jonah is either 37 or 38 (I can't remember and I honestly don't care enough to look it up) and Melanie is 40 years old. And here are some of the "sexy" things they say:

Melanie (as she ponders anal sex with, keeping to the old romance trope, the ridiculously-hung man in her life): "Would I ever accommodate it...there?" ("It" is his penis, and "there" is her ass, in case you aren't fluent with hilariously bad internal monologue.)

Jonah: "I had only begun to show her the pleasures I could give her down there." (Are you fucking kidding me?!?! Mr. Oh-I-Am-So-Experienced calling a woman's genitals "down there?" Who even talks like that? I can honestly say that I haven't since I was in high school - and I certainly can't imagine saying it NOW. Jonah and I are theoretically around the same age, but his maturity is...lacking, shall we say.)

Their middle-school-esque chatter doesn't end there, however. Having barely known Melanie for two months, TOPS, Jonah declares that, if she leaves him, he will "never love another woman." As in, ever. Are you fucking kidding me? Does anyone find this sexy or attractive at all? Because I don't. I find it pathetic and kind of manipulative, to be honest.

Look, nearly all of us suffer a huge heartbreak in our lives. Lord knows, I had my heart broken into a billion tiny pieces by a girl many years ago, and part of me still loves her and always will. But it's not romantic in the slightest, at least in my opinion, to say you'll never love again. I feel that if someone comes along who is amazing, I will definitely fall in love again - and I knew the girl who broke my heart a LOT longer than two months. Two months?!?! And that's being generous - it might be even less than that. You don't know someone in two months - Jonah doesn't even know a thing about Melanie's past, and he admits as much. That isn't love, sweet cheeks.

Melanie is just as bad, though.

tl;dr: The sex was a whole bunch of NOPE NOPE NOPE in my book.

Also, why do random characters who really do nothing to add to the quality of the book (limited as it is) pop up for no reason?

And why does Jonah act as if prison guards will commit all sorts of crimes for a few hundred bucks?
Yeah, some prison guards will - just like in any career, there are always some who are willing to bend the law for their profit. But the majority of prison guards, I would argue, are doing a job. They're drawing a paycheck. They aren't sadistic; they don't want to see people suffer. And Jonah just comes across as if he expects any and every prison guard in the joint holding Larry will do anything he asks for a couple of hundred bucks. It's insulting, really.

I just...ugh, I'm done. I just can't. I can feel brain cells committing suicide as I write this review.

Oh my! My mind is blown. With all of that twist and turn on every corner. The plot is still thick. I stayed up this late to just finished Surrender.

Miss Hardt done a good job concluding Melanie and Jonah story. I could give this book 5 stars. What makes me take off 1 star is the repeating word between Jonah and Melanie how good, how wonderful they are to each other. And Melanie still getting on my nerve with her needy damsel in distress drama.

I can not wait for Ryan story.

An all consuming and tantalising continuation to The Steel Brothers Saga that'll leave you yearning and burning for more...

Oh. Kay. Let's just start with OH MY GOOD FREAKING LORD! Boy oh boy, this series just gets better and better. FML. I'm actually still so revved up and excited over Surrender that my brain is having a hard time composing the right thing to say without giving the game away. I love Helen Hardt so so SO hard right now. It's at times like this that I realise just why she's my favourite adult author. Quite frankly, I just don't think there's anyone out there that can make the phrase 'Slap those pretty titties.' work without making you cringe as though you are watching a cheap porno. Jesus H Christ, I am ready to combust from just elation at how brilliantly this book is written. It's not just flawless, it's executed to perfection. Every single twist and turn is just so phenomenally crafted that you feel like you are in an action chase. Forget Agatha Christie, Helen Hardt has just made all my detective/ snoopy tendencies flare - in a big BIG way.

I always wanted to know why...

So. Surrender follows on from Burn, now I've maintained that this series has been astounding from the off. But somehow, Hardt has completely outdone herself with Surrender. Okay, this book is a lot heavier on the BDSM, however it's so well written and even though it has a blunt approach with no sugar coating, in my opinion it's what makes this book different from your bog standard BDSM romance. In typical Helen fashion there were no holds barred, no inhibitions and it was most certainly all raw, carnal fire. I think that Helen Hardt has her character development BANG on the money - she maintains that Steel brothers' familiarities whilst at the same time differentiating them no just with their though processes but also with their actions.

No, Melanie. I could go out and swim a hundred laps in my pool, or I could go on a run, or we could go to my bedroom and fuck each other's brains out. But none of those will give me peace, not right now... And I don't know what I'll do if you say no.

I have to be brutally honest, I cannot get enough of Talon Steel - HOWEVER - in this book Jonah really stepped up and took centre-stage. His dark side really came out and just wowed me. I'm not just referring to the sex - it was banging, yes - but, I'm actually referring to his persona. He finally unleashed, and it was beautiful. The raw anger mixed with the guilt and the need for retribution was just awing. To me it took him from a tall to giant. His presence in this book is inescapable. He oozes power and sex appeal, but yet has this gentleness - a softheartedness that gives you no option other than to love him.

When we're close, Melanie, and you become wet for me, I can feel your arousal, even before I touch you between your legs.

Melanie on the other hand maintains her softness, but at the same time she has this kick-arse side to her that again just really brought her character out to the forefront. I really needed that from her. Don't get me wrong I liked her from the moment that she came on the scene, but in Surrender she just metamorphosed into a stronger version of herself that still had that elegant, demure and tender side. I loved that she was still so well put together, yet when she unravelled she became this uninhibited, sassy and fierce creature that owned the lead. I'm actually sad that this is the last book from Jonah's and Melanie's perspectives, because I could have so much more from them.

I knew, without a doubt, that my surrender had begun.

So much happened in this book that I feel like I should go back and read it again. Not that I need an excuse, if there is any certainty in this world it's that Surrender will be getting devoured again - very VERY soon. I just need to experience it all over again. This book to me is so pivotal to the whole saga. Don't get me wrong, you're still left with a stonker of a cliffhanger that may just kill me... but, you finally get to see the demons for who and what they are. I'm dying to see where Shattered will take the plot. Of course, I'm also dying to sink into Ryan Steel. Obviously, duh! Quite frankly as much as I'm vying for the next Steel book, I'm also dreading getting that much closer to the end... I'm actually filled with trepidation and sadness for the day that THE END is scrawled on this brilliant and consuming series.

I can't promise you what we'll find, but I promise you this. We will get to the bottom of this. You and I together. And Talon, Jade, Ryan, and Marj. We will find the truth.

Please note that you need to read this series in order: Craving, Obsession, Possession, Melt, Burn and then Surrender (Shattered and Twisted come out this year as well).

We continue this journey with Jonah Steel, the oldest of the Steel Brothers, and Melanie Carmichael, who was Talon's therapist when the series began. We pick up where we left off in Burn, Jonah still feels responsible for unthinkable things that happened when they were kids. His mission is to continue looking for the men that have caused turmoil and strife to his family. More mysteries are unraveled, some questions are answered that cause you to be in shock and say "WHAT?" How did I not see that coming. That is the beauty of this series. All of the brothers play a role in this series, you can't have one without the other they are all connected.

Helen is a master at twists, turns and keeping you coming back for more. The sexy moments are nothing short of hot and erotic! Whew, let me fan myself. This entire series is well worth the investment. It's so much fun to try and figure out where Helen is going with the story. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, she throws a wrench into your theory.

This story has it all; romance, passion, suspense, redemption. The cliffhangers will have you on the edge of your seat, but it's worth every moment as you try to untangle the web of deceit and coverups. More secrets are revealed, but knowing this roller coaster isn't over is half the fun!

Surrender is the 3rd book in Jonah and Melanie's story. We got more movement on the overall series plot, but there is still more to uncover. I wasn't the biggest fan of Jonah and Melanie but their books are necessary to the series. I am so curious how this is all going to end. There is just so many secrets and it seems there are many more characters involved in the evil that began when these brothers were kids. I really hope they all get caught and pay for what they have done.

Just thinking of this book now 2 days after reading it my jaw is still on the floor. I can honestly not put into words what this book made me feel and think. But I am going to try my best.

I have read all 6 (you kind of have to in order to understand everything) books 1-3 are Talon's story and great. But this one book 6 in the series but the 3rd one for Jonah was my absolute favorite. Helen Hardt cannot do wrong when it comes to this series. Each book will have you eager to get your hands on the next.

But Surrender... WOW. Helen Hardt hit it out of the park in this book. You get SO may questions answered and the answers that you get will have you literally gasping, saying no effing way (out loud), and if you're like me you will literally be knocked off the edge of the seat you're perched on.

Jonah and Melanie's story continues as well as finishes in Surrender. But is it going to be the ending you were hoping for? Be sure to check them all out. You will not be disappointed at all in any of these books. So ready for Ryan to have his story and see where Helen takes us next on this twisted story!!

******* NOT A STANDALONE**********

Surrender is the sixth book in the Steel Brothers Saga. You must read them in order starting with Craving to fully understand the story line.
Jonah and Melanie's love story is far from prefect, but in this book they really focus on trusted, and exploring one another's boundaries. Jonah still feels guilty about not answering Melanie's phone call the night she got abducted. He's also on a wild goose chase trying to find the last men who took Talon as a boy, but the more closer he gets to finding them bits and pieces of the truth and cover ups starts coming out about his father Brad Steel and the family.
Melanie is very certain that Gina's suicided was a coverup and that she was really murder with her medical license temporary suspended. Melanie decides to explore Gina's death and comes across information that could help Talon and Jonah catch the last two men. Melanie is also very unsure of Jonah's dominant dark side until his pasted shows up on Jonah's front door step and shows Melanie a whole another side of Jonah.
Let me just say this was a gut wrenching, jaw dropping, edge of your seat kinda of book. So many unanswered questions finally get answers. This by far was my favorite book in the series. I can't wait to read Shattered that comes out August 29. Helen Hardt is simply amazing and out done herself with the Steel Brother Saga!

Let me start with saying this is a Series and you will need to read these in order. Wow..wow wow.! I don't know if I can truly express or write the correct words to how I feel about this book and this series. I will do my best tho. I feel that as each new book is released they get more amazing and better with each book that comes out. I never thought that could be possible. Helen Hardt not only weaves a story about romance, new beginning, while intertwining mystery and suspense, many lives and stories are weaved together like a puzzle as one bigger picture unfolds before our eyes. Just when you think you have figured something out... Guess what you're wrong the story is now a 180 Degrees in the opposite direction. I love this series and am hanging on by a thread for the next installment of the Steel Brothers where we will finally get Ryan's story. This book is the final book in Jonas and Dr. Melanie Carmichael's story. It was Suspenseful , Intense, very intriguing, thought provoking, in some ways it has you questioning everything you thought that you knew about the characters and the plot of the story! It's swoony it will hit all the feelers In this book. Congratulations on an another amazing read! If I could I would give it 100 stars. A must One click today! If you have not read this Series please start with book one Craving.

Oh those Steel Brothers!!! This has very quickly become my go to series for rereads over and over again. Helen Hardt did not disappoint in the newest addition to the series - Surrender.

The story opens up with lots of drama from the last book still taking place - so you must read them in order-- and it keeps you on the edge of your seat all the to the last word of the book. Jonah and Melanie explore many new things in their relationship event as they race to find answers that seem to surround the Steel Family. The passion moves to the next level and Helen does an amazing job of writing all the feelings that go along with it as Jonah and Melanie come to terms exactly with what they are.

Just when I really think that can be anymore twist and turns, Helen literally comes up with something that I had never seen coming and I absolutely love that! I actually mark the next release on a calendar ( lol) to insure that I don't miss it. I know I will love doing a read through again once all the books are out!

BOOK SIX IN THE STEEL BROTHERS SAGA. READ 1-5 FIRST.

I love the Steel Brothers series! Surrender is book six and it concludes Jonah Steel and Melanie Carmichael's story, and what a story it is!!! There are twists and turns, suspense, questions answered and new questions asked, and so many emotions. It is like you are riding a roller coaster and holding on for dear life at times. Plus there is some very erotic hot love scenes that were quite simply steamy! I love how Helen writes and how both Jonah and Melanie have evolved in this their final book. They both had demons to overcome and I really love how Melanie really came into her own as a fierce loving believing in herself and love kind of woman. We get to see Jade and Talon, and Marjorie, plus a little bit of Ryan. I love all of them, however I feel connected to Melanie and Jonah. Very delighted that we will get to have Ryan's story told. And the Queen and Supreme Ruler of Cliffhangers did not disappoint. We all are anxiously awaiting Shattered, book 7 in this series. Well written, intriguing, sexy, steamy hot read. Don't miss this series.

This one is the final book in Jonah and Melanie's story and it's AMAZING!! I just love how this storyline has progressed and I enjoy each one more and more. These definitely aren't standalones and you need to start with Craving. I so enjoy seeing each of the Steel brothers find love and get through the twists and turns that are thrown at them.

Absolutely LOVE this series! From the way Talon and Jade's relationship unfolded in Craving, Obsession and a Possession to the transition of the developments between Jonah and Melanie in Melt, Burn and Surrender...each 3-book segment of this series leaves your anticipation high for the next installment. Better than standard trilogies, Helen Hardt's approach to "trilogies within a trilogy" allow for the full development of each character and the intrinsic details of their intertwining relationships, not only among the brothers but also the women in their lives...their combined relationships as a whole. Add in their investigation to learn the truth behind Talon's abduction as a child and the complexities of the relationships of those involved that they have so far learned, Helen Hardt has creatively developed a series I cannot put down. I initially started this series because it is erotic romance, and while I especially love the exploration into BDSM by a nervous and apprehensive Melanie with a more-than-capable teacher in Jonah, it was the way Ms. Hardt approached their relationship of bringing the darkness to light that kept me interested. She has so thoroughly developed her characters to be real, in a way that leaves you hurting for them, rooting for them, excited for them. Waiting until August to begin Ryan's story is going to make for a very long summer!

I have read other reviews complaining this book is too short and dislike that another book is included in the purchase. I love having a free book to read...and now another series!

Surrender is such an amazing continuation of this already amazing series. This book focuses more on Jonah and Melanie but we have constant run ins with previous characters. Surrender is not a standalone and you should read the rest of the Steele Brothers Saga before you read this one as the entire series has a running storyline.
In this book Jonah is still dealing with the overwhelming guilt of what ifs that revolve around his brother Talon’s traumatizing, abusive past. He has made it his goal in life to see all those responsible put away, even if it means pushing the one woman that can handle all his darkness away. Melanie knows that Jonah is worth fighting for but she struggles daily with whether she is going to be enough for him. The twists and turns in this book really push their self-limits and make things even harder to handle. Will their new relationship survive the new secrets and darkness that is brought to light??
I just loved this book, both Melanie and Jonah are strong characters that can handle most things on their own but due to their own pasts, they struggle with relying on each other. But watching the relationship flourish was just great especially with all the horrible secrets coming out around them. And seeing them come through it all and Surrender to each other was beautiful. My hat is off to Helen Hardt and I can not wait to read Ryan’s book next!

The Steel Brothers are back in full force with this sixth book in the series and it is aptly named “Surrender” and all that the meaning of the word implies. It picks up right where the previous book left off and once again the reader is swept up into the tempestuous relationship between Jonah, Melanie and his family. The reader is also given more insight into what actually happened when, at ten years old, Talon was taken but it only leads to more questions. This book leaves you on the edge of your seat, sucking in breaths of air unable to believe what is transpiring. Once you start reading this, it is impossible to put it down until you reach the end….and OMG what a cliffhanger! There are just no words to describe the heart palpitations leaving you breathless in anticipation. If you have not read this series yet, STOP whatever you are doing and get to your nearest bookstore or go online and pick up the first book to begin as this is not a standalone. You will be very glad you did. I cannot wait for the upcoming release of the next book detailing Ryan’s story.
I volunteered to read an arc for a review.

Can I start out by saying that I don't think I've ever been happier to start reading a new author than I am that I started Helen's Steel Brothers Saga? This series has me in its clutches and its not letting me go anytime soon. This series is NOT a standalone and you HAVE to read it from the beginning in order to know what is going with each book but its so WORTH IT!

My jaw was dropping through this entire book and it left me completely speechless. My heart was pounding and in my throat. I can't believe that Helen is such a creative genius. Just when you think that this series can't get any better BAM here she comes and out does herself once again. You will not see the things coming that occur in this book. Just when you think you know everything that is happening, here comes something out of nowhere.

If you haven't read anything by Helen before than I highly recommend this series. If you have read this series and are debating on reading this one (why??) than pick it up because you are going to love it!!! You are going to devour the pages with this one for sure.

Surrender by Helen Hardt is the sixth book in the Steel Brothers Saga and is a continuation of Jonah Steel and Melanie Carmichael's story. You need to read the books in order to fully understand what's going on. The Steel Brothers Saga has to be one of my favorite series ever!! Ms. Hardt’s writing captures you from the first page and doesn't let go until the very end!

Without giving too much away, Surrender picks up exactly where Burn left off with Jonah trying to piece together Talon’s abduction and with Melanie trying to get past what happened to her. As we learn who the kidnappers are, we begin to see the bigger picture. And OMG will you be surprised.

Jonah and Melanie's chemistry throughout the book was amazing! Their bond is beautiful and even as they navigated through twists and turns, you still felt their love. Will their relationship be strong enough to learn the truth?

Helen Hardt continues to amaze me! The growth of the characters was evident and the story flowed well. I absolutely LOVED it! It was a fantastic conclusion to Jonah and Melanie’s story! I am so looking forward to reading book 7!!

Helen's books pull you into the story and it's like coming home to the characters within them with each installment she gives us. This one was no different and I'm anxious to finally get to know the mystery that is Ryan in the next few books. What can I say about this book that I haven't with the other Steel series..? It was such an emotional read. In the worst of ways (which is good) and in the very best of ways. Joe grows so much in Surrender and Mel does too. They help each other in all the ways a couple should. I'm so excited for them and for Talon and Jade as well. I have a feeling whom Ryan will heal with (at least he better) and I hope I'm right. If you haven't started this series yet, you should! It's so full of heartfelt and heart stopping moments that'll leave you breathless. A wonderful ending to Joe and Melinda's point of view. Ready for Shattered, already!! Is it weird that I want to crawl into her brain to see what happens next? It probably is.. I don't care, I need answers! 😝

What a story! It just keeps getting better and better!

Jonah and Melanie's relationship has been a serious situation. Trust between the two of them has been disturbed and now Jonah is risking it all trying to solve the mystery of Talon's kidnapping.

We are about to discover who the third man was. BUT, are there more people involved? Aha! If you love a great mystery, with a HOT romance, and a great plotline, this is the book for you! As the kidnappers are identified more details are discovered that shake the Steele family to the core.

Nothing is at it seems. All they can do is cling to each other and survive all these revelations as well as they can.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I love mysteries and romance and this is the perfect edge of your seat book. Thank you to the author for a copy of this book.

Omg!! I don't even know where to begin with this book. I'm still sitting here trying to digest of what I have read. Helen you continue to surprise me. When I think I have solved this ongoing mystery you do a 360 on me and I have to start all over again. This story has it all romance, suspense, and deceit. I could not put this book down for anything. Once I started reading I could not stop until the very end and even then I wanted more. It only took me a day and half to finish this amazing story.

This is the last book for Jonah and Melanie. This book is part of a series that needs to be read from the beginning to understand. The books in order are Craving, Obsession, Possession, Melt, Burn, and this one Surrender. The first three books are about the middle brother Talon. This book continues with Jonah Steel and Melanie Carmichael’s story. This will be the final book that will focus on this strong couple. Jonah is getting dangerously close on finding out what really happened to his younger brother:Talon. His main mission is to find the other two men that did these horrible things to his brother. He still feels responsible for happened all those years ago. What will Jonah do if he gets to meet these men face to face? Melanie is also starting to figure out her own mystery. She is uncovering answers that she might not want to. Could this whole mystery be linked together? This is the book that a lot of your questions will be answered but there will be new questions asked. The answers will shock you and leave a shiver down your spine. Will Jonah get the answers he has been searching for or will he be left in the dark? Who should Jonah trust a criminal or a criminally insane stranger?

This book left me speechless. The way Helen writes is a true miracle. She puts in so much details you feel like you are also in this book. This is my favorite series that is out now. Helen is an evil genius with all her twists and turns she puts into this story. I never seen them coming and she got me every time. I also love the dual point of views. I love reading how the man feels when they are in a relationship. The cliffhanger will have you in the corner rocking back and forth waiting for the next book. I am now on pins and needles waiting to here Ryan’s story now. I hope August comes fast.

This book what can i say about it, Simply Phenomenal... In my opinion this is the best book of the series thus far. The twists and turns that Helen takes us on during the adventure of reading this book has you constantly stuck reading and not able to put the book down. I literally read it from start to finish within a few hours because every page brought on new twists that were just jaw dropping.

The connection between Jonah and Melanie is amazing and something that all relationships could only hope to have. The bond that has developed between the two is electric and on fire. With these two you are literally able to feel the love and affection they have for one another come right off the page and into your soul. Watching their relationship grow into what it is by the end of the book literally puts a tear in your eye. Absolutely LOVED it!

Finding out the details of what happened to Talon and watching how Jonah seeks out revenge to make sure that justice is served and all the men are found is so heart warming because it just shows how tight knit this family is and how they have each others back through thick and thin.

I cannot wait for the next book to come out and find out what Ryan's story has to bring! This is an absolute MUST READ and FIVE star book by far!
Thank you Helen Hardt For the WONDERFUL adventure!

I LOVED this book!!!

I honestly kept sending texts to my bestie (also reading the series) saying "Holy shit, you won't believe it!" & "OMG, I have to pick my mouth up off the floor!" I never revealed any secrets to her!

We are pulled in and there are secrets revealed in the first few chapters. I found myself picking my brain for bits of information from the previous books so that I could connect all the dots (my lines are not connected yet). Just when I thought I was making sense, another secret would come to light as well as a few mysteries added.

Jonah and Melanie are amazing and their growth in this book, both separately and together is wonderful. The sex scenes are beyond HOT! We learn a little more about Joes "dark side", which I don't think is all that dark! I just love these 2 together! They are so good for one another.

I don't want to reveal details in the story, it's good and everyone needs to get the same thrill I felt while reading it. We have a little resolution, a couple more secrets revealed, a little potential foreshadowing (maybe I'm reading more into it than there is, I guess we'll see), we have some love and happiness, a jumbo pinch of crazy and a very big cliffhanger! This one is everything you expect from Helen Hardt's - Steel Brothers and more and I can barely wait for Ryan's first book in August!!

**I received an ARC for a fair and honest review**

Genre: Contemporary Romance (with dark undertones)

Surrender by Helen Hardt is the 6th book in the Steel Brothers Saga and each book must be read in order for full understanding of the story line. This is a darker romance series that deals with hard issues like child abuse (although it happens in the past and is not a current issue with the characters at this stage in their lives). Some of the flashbacks may be disturbing for some viewers so reader discretion is advised.

With that, this is a very addicting series. It does deal with some tough issues (as mentioned above) but has some very sweet and sensual romance to it as well. If you have been following the series you will know that this is the third book that features Jonah Steel and Melanie (the first 3 feature Talon and Jade) and the next 3 feature Ryan and whoever his love interest may be. In addition to this, if you are familiar with the series you will also continue to follow what happened in Talon's past. More information is provided in this book and as new things come to light readers will find themselves shocked. I know I did! I never saw the ending coming. The twists and turns just don't stop in this series! YIKES!!!

Without going into the plot (because this series should be read without even the slightest spoilers) I will say that it is a must read series. Normally if a series is overlong I tend to get bored with it and move on but with this one I simply can't. I am addicted to it. The characters are amazing, the story line is interesting (albeit a bit sad and dark) and the author has a unique way of presenting the story. I highly recommend it.

I was so excited to receive this ARC after reading the preview in Burn, blowing through it in two evenings.
Surrender is the third in Jonah’s storyline (and the 6th in the Steel Brothers books; the first three revolve around Talon). Jonah’s bedroom preferences are more flushed out in this book. I feel that Melanie acquiesced to him sexually more in this book than the other two. Melanie is really good for Jonah by bringing out the best in him but I prefer the sexual relationship between Jade and Talon in the 1st three books as it seemed more consensual.
I really enjoyed how what seemed like minor details in the 1st five books came back into the story. I had to stop and then was like “Oh, I remember that from book x!”
Jonah is still very much struggling with his guilt from Talon’s abduction even though Talon has said he doesn’t blame him every time it has been brought up.
I am already dying for December when Twisted is released since Ryan (the youngest brother) has been so busy making wine in the first six books to really know anything about him.
I have recommended the series to family members & friends but have warned them to not expect to get anything done until they’re caught up.

OMG this book was so good, that I could not put it down. Its captures your attention about the 2nd chapter and just will not release the inquiring mind and thought process. Making you forget that you have things to do ( like work..... lol), because you just have to know what happens next.
In this book so many things come out into the open , that take you on a roll a coaster ride of emotions. So many ups and downs, OH HELL NO's and YOU'RE KIDDING ME, and WTH, along with all of the YAY's and the love.
This family has been through so much that when they find something good and find love, you just gush with love and happiness for them.
This is another awesome book in an already awesome series that it seems like another life time has to come and go before you can get the next book, lol. Which Ryan's book comes out in August, see another life time haha.
This series goes to show why Helen Hardt is one of my top 5 favorite authors. Keep them coming Helen.
Take my word for it, this book is well worth the money and you're going to love it
