A Battered Wife - A Husband out for Revenge - And a Cowboy who’d love to Rescue her.
Is duty stronger than love?

As Francine watches the newlyweds leave for their honeymoon, she realizes that her time has run out. She must confront her husband, Stephen Thorncrest, who has had ample time to plan his revenge.
Francine, the once docile wife, hopes she is up for the fight but when greed and power consume the man, secrets of the past drive the couple beyond what even she could have imagined. Every day is filled with suspense and brings about changes, pushing her heart, mind, and body into constant upheaval.
Waiting on the sidelines is Daniel, the man who has captured her heart – a heart she is not free to give away. Her dedication to her marriage vows and an abusive past stand in his way, hindering the process to win her heart. Welcome to a place in the soul where duty wages war on love.

This is a story that moves forward, one step of faith at a time, trusting God to provide wisdom and strength in facing the ghosts of the past and the promise of a future. Driven is a place where the hopeless find hope and the unloved finds love. This is a story that is on the edgy side of romance with the added conflict of abuse but hopefully will inspire victims to believe that there is hope beyond their situation.

Enjoy Driven, a romance drenched in suspense and faith.

I loved Hidden and Smitten, the first two books of the Jones-Star series, which compelled me to purchase and read Driven, the third book in the series. I was not disappointed! This poignant tale of faith, family, and forgiveness is Francine’s story. Francine is introduced in Book 1 as the manipulative, socialite mother of the heroine Ruth Ellen, and she is not a very likeable character to say the least. As her story unfolds, however, she becomes one of my favorite characters! Her courageous faith journey in the face of devastating circumstances is inspiring and heartwarming. A cast of diverse characters, a well-constructed plot full of surprises, sweet romance, and a strong faith message combine to make an emotional, memorable read that will grab you from the beginning and keep you invested to the end. Even though this is the third book in the series, sufficient background information is given to make it work beautifully as a stand-alone. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

While not often fond of first person narratives, Marlene Bierworth is a talented writer and first person narrative works for this series, where each main character tells the story from her point of view. Driven is Francine's story. Boston high society had many secrets - arranged marriages, spousal abuse, lies and deceit. A page turning historical read with a menacing conniving son, husband / father. Looking forward to Book 4 in this binge worthy series

I really enjoyed this third book in the Jones Star Series.
This sweet western is not only about love, but more serious issues like abuse.
And there is romance, second chances, suspense, and secrets.
I love the way Francine is now able to stand up for herself, and tell her husband how she feels.
Looking forward to the next book in the series!
