STUNNING. Unbelievable. I'd turn a page and say, "Is that really a hand????" Guido Daniele's art is just fascinating and Silvia Lopez's writing is crisp and clear with intriguing details about each animal.

This is MUST READ ALOUD in k-5.

While the author, Silvia Lopez, relates facts to help the reader understand each individual animal, the artist, Guido Daniele, recreates an image of the animal using a model’s hands and body paint. The ...more

One has to look closely to find a thumbnail or to notice that the wrinkled elephant is painted on a wrinkled hand. A truly amazing look at animals, and Silvia Lopez did a great job of finding the ...more

This is an art book. The artist painted his hands in shapes of animals. There is an author too. Lots of good info on the animals!
