For Ricky “Stoli” Branson, the stars were on his side. Social Sinners was headlining their first sold out US tour. Radio stations across the states were playing their songs, and he’d won the heart of the man he loved.

Everything was going great, or so he foolishly believed...

When an accident has them burying one of their own and leaves another fighting for his life, Stoli

I liked this one more than book one but I'm still not clicking totally with this series and I think it's because the characters act much younger than they're supposed to be.

They're approaching 30 but their language and behaviour comes across like new adult in their late teens/early 20s. Now, that's not a problem per se, but I think it's why I'm not getting into the narrative fully.

In this one things turn a bit serious, not only is there a horrific accident to deal with, but also the status o

Social Sinners were headed toward the their dream, becoming known in the music world and achieving their goal, until one event ripped the happiness out of the brothers. "We fight like brothers, we love like brothers, we share like brothers. When one of us hurts, we all hurt. Blood brothers for all intent and purposes."

In The Shadows (Social Sinners, #2) picked up seamlessly where Behind the Lights (Social Sinners #1) left off, even though now it was

I loved In the Shadows just as much as I did Behind the Lights, except for completely different reasons. It's in this sequel where the characters truly shine. While we did get a strong sense of what the band members meant to each other in the first book and were introduced to their various personalities, I think In the Shadows does an amazing job of fleshing out what makes each man (Joey, Stoli, Diamond, and Mickey) their own individual. For example, I had no idea Joey could be so

This series is off to an incredible start. Book one was primarily a backdrop for what was to come for Stoli and Joey. It was told in Joey’s point of view. Now book two is out and it is told from Stoli’s side of things and boy is it hot.

In book one Stoli finally catches on that his best friend has feelings for him. It took almost an act of god for that to happen but he finally opened his eyes to what has been in front of him all along. Now that Stoli has realized that he has feelings for Joey in

The story just feels like it drags. I do love the new relationship with Stoli and Joey. They have great chemistry and are so cute together.

Oh my freaking god this is such a good book! After the ending of book one I was ready for this story. But I did not expect the emotional toll that some scenes would have. I have to say that I am invested in these guys, and I cannot wait to hopefully get a story about Diamond. He has me curious what is up with him. I need more of these guys now!!

The second installment of the Social Sinners explores Stoli and Joey's new relationship through Stoli's eyes. The guys are sweet as a couple and I felt a sense of relief that they were finally boyfriends.

In the Shadows follows the band on the rest of their tour and the reader gets to know the band members better. I enjoyed reading their adventures and journey as a band. The guys are truly a family, even if they aren't blood

4 Stars!

In the Shadows is book 2 in the Social Sinners series and it can't be read as a standalone, as it picks up immediately after book 1 ends and you'll be a bit lost if you just jump in.

While Behind the Lights was written from Joey's POV and dealt mostly with how they all met, formed the band and their rise to fame, In the Shadows is told from Stoli/Ricky's POV and deals with the aftermath of Joey finally realizing that his best friend (Ricky) has been in love with him since they were 5-year

This is a terrific rock band series. The first book was told from Joey's point of view, and this one is Ricky/Stoli's point of view. This book begins where the first one ended, so I do recommend reading Behind the Lights first. Joey and Stoli are now in a brand new relationship together, and life is good. The guys are funny and foul-mouthed, and their interaction is awesome. They are becoming closer friends with the guys in Maiden Voyage, who are great mentors and support as Social Sinners are g ...more

Perfect!!!
I loved book one and it was a great series starter but this...
This is what I'm talking about. So many well thought out characters you can't help but love. Not just the band but all the characters. Plus the story, my God what TL Travis does to me. I thought Joey and Stoli were a cute couple at the beginning, by the end they were perfection. I swear between the bawling smiling, laughing and crying I'm on emotional overload. The only drawback to reading this is it ended and I have to

I was waiting for this next book in the series to see if I was right.

After Joey finally really opens his eyes and realizes, on stage singing one of their most popular songs, that what, or better yet who, he longs for has been standing right before him his entire life. Ricky, better known to the rock world as Stoli, has been in love with his best friend since he was 12 years old but never believed before that the stars would align their way. When Joey finally admits that he not onl

This is the second book of the "Social Sinners" series.

We can finaly read about the couple i think we all secretly rooted for in the first book.
Theres more romance in this book as in the last one and i enjoyed seeing the progress in Stolis and Joeys relationship.
Theres a lot in store for the band as well ... not only good stuff.

I liked this book just as much as the first one. Im really looking forward the the next books in the series !

Book two in the Social Sinners series is told from Ricky “Stoli” Branson’s POV. I highly recommend you read the first book because it does set the tone for this one. Stoli, as he prefers to be called, has been in love with his best friend for most of his life. He’s had to watch Joey from the sidelines never being able to show or tell him the depth of his feelings for fear of ruining their friendship. Joey finally wakes up and see what’s right in front of him and that he’s actually in love with S ...more

Another great add to the series, Ricky “Stoli” Branson is center stage here. This was definitely a story about being strong but not having to do it alone. A different type of read from book one but still enjoyable and will take hold of you. I don't want to say too much (going off of the blurb) because I think that would spoiler, I like knowing as little as possible going in. I loved Stoli and the family he has, and a love that is heartwarming. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of ...more

Strong story

I read "Behind the Lights" which was Joey's point of view in the first book of this series. I definitely wanted to read (and will read all of them) whatever came next. This book two in the series is in Stoli's point of view. Just when he thinks everything is finally going right, something takes his faith away. He is a powerful character and this book is not just filled with the steamy scenes between MM lovers, but a great story that takes the reader on a path of faith and beliefs. I'

I loved the first book in this series! It pulled me in, kept me hooked, made me fall in love with all the characters! But this one... Phenomenal!!! The first part was just as good as the first book, seeing Stoli and Joey finding their way to their HEA. I loved it!!! Then things REALLY took a turn and, OMG, I cried so much!!! I really, really have no words for just how much I loved this story!!!! I need book three!!!!

TL Travis's Book 2 of the Social Sinners series In The Shadows is spectacular. I was actually dreading reading this book due to a small snip-it I read. I was prepared for what was coming, but the scene was still sad, and the one part that I new was coming next wasn't what I thought it was going to be, so needless to say, I was sad, but relieved. TL Travis did a great job playing with my emotions again in this book, and if the first 2 were emotional, I can only imagine the rest of the series will ...more

When we last left the Social Sinners in Behind the Lights, Joey had just had his come to God moment when he realized that true love was always right in front of him. Now we hear things from Stoli's point of view. Is he happy that Joey has finally seen the light? Yes he is but...he still has misgivings and for a cocky, arrogant, and confident man, he still is insecure about whether Joey is really in it for the long haul. In the Shadows takes us on their first huge tour with all the fun and pitfal ...more

This story picks up right where Social Sinners: Behind the Lights ended, and we are treated to a beautifully written romance. What I sorely missed in the first book, the author, without a doubt, made up for in this story. The romance between Joey and Stoli. Sometimes sappy, sometimes hurtful, but always pure and loving.
While the first book is told from Joey’s point of view, now it is Stoli’s turn to be in the spotlights. No hiding in the shadows for him. He has grown into the natural-bo

Brilliant rockstars.

I love rockstar romances. And this one didn't disappoint. The romance was sweet and the sex was hot. It was great to see Stoli and Joey finally be together. There were several chapters in the middle of the book that almost stopped my heart. This is book two in the series which needs to be read in order.

Stoli and Joey are now a couple, but it is all new to them. Kissing, sex, all of it is new. And all of these new-for-them moments are beautiful and emotional!

The scenes in this book just blow you away... but with every good book, watch out for the emotional role it will take.. An emotional second part to this amazing series. TL Tavis definitely has not failed to keep this series rocking. From exceptional lyrics to heartbreaking tragedy. You won't be disappointed. Poor Stoli is forced to sit back and watch as the love of his life suffers in ways I could never imagine having to deal with, only shortly after finally feeling like happiness for him and Joey was in grasp.

This story is a masterpiece!

I enjoyed the first book in this series as Joey and Stoli grew up. The continuation of their journey in this book was truly beautiful, hot, and heartbreaking. They have definitely become my favorite mm couple. Stoli or Ricky, his given name, finally had the one heart he had always loved. I cried during quite a bit of this book. I am addicted to rock star romance and this story just took it's place among my favorites. I can't wait for the next installment!

Social Sinners rock! I’m crazy about these guys ~ each one brings so much to the table.

In this installment, the band’s popularity is skyrocketing as they head out on tour with mega-star rockers, Maiden Voyage. It’s fun to tag along all the guys’ and see what shenanigans they’ve gotten themselves into, as well as witnessing Stoli and Joey’s relationship as it becomes stronger.
