The Miracle of Dialogue
“The reader is bound to find much help in his own struggle to communicate effectively with those about him. Dr. Howe uses abundant illustrations from his own rich pastoral experience, and thus makes a vivid contribution to the art and practice of effective communication between man and man, and man and God.” —The Kirkus Reviews

Anyone interested in conversation should read it. Out of print now. Got a used copy from Amazon. Primarily about the church but includes thoughts on dialogue between spouse, parents/kids, etc.

Monological vs dialogical comparisons valuable. My favorite quote, without tension the string on a violin would not give forth a musical note. Dialogue requires listening.
