Magic waits for no one. And Isadora was behind from the start.
The wicked sorceress Miranda has her right where she wants her, and mercy isn’t on the menu.

Isadora has no idea how to take down a sorceress. She hasn’t even had the chance to master basic magic.

But that won’t stop her from trying. She’s the only one who can prevent Miranda from exposing magic to the masses and pitting the academy in a brutal war against them.

Will Isadora find the way to harness her abilities in time? Or will violence engulf the magical world?

This is book five in this series and the books just keep getting better. This book bring us the story of Isa who had no idea that she had magic. However we learned in the last book, the last scene that Isa has portal magic when she portals everyone back to the Academy. But boy did it effect her. She can't move. She can't hear. But Mordecai works his own magic and brings her back. When telling their story, they all tell about Priscilla, Count Vabu's sister, and how she was the one who saved them. Now Count Vabu must find her before Miranda has a chance to kill her. The only thing I can say bad about this book and all the other book in this series is that they are not long enough.
I received an advanced copy of this book and chose to review it.

I voluntarily review an ARC.
This is the fifth part of the MAA series, the books should be read in order.
The four previous parts were already fast paced, but this one is like a hurricane. Isa's world is turned upside down after she accomplished her first spell. Not knowing how to use her magic she tumbles from one bad situation into the next one.
Even skilled magicans still have to be rescued from the SMS.
Will they be in time? Who can they trust?
It will be hard to wait for the next part.
I absolutely recommend this series.

Omg! Isa has magic! Lol. Another fantastic read. This one has us coming in right where book 4 left us with everyone back at the school having gone through the portal. But is everyone ok? While Isa is still learning her new magical powers, we meet more teachers. I love the way the action is started through these stories with more twists that you just wouldn't expect! I highly suggest reading this series.

I will admit to a deep and abiding bias: I’ve never met her but I absolutely adore Lucía Ashta. Don’t worry, I’m not a stalker or anything (other than on kindle), but I am an totally addicted to writers who are consistently wonderful. That describes this author, and I’m qualified to say this as I think I’ve read all she’s written. Questionable Rescue (both the novel and the series, Magical Arts Academy, that it’s the fifth book of) is a perfect example of that. Wonderful world-building, perfectly crafted lead and supporting characters (certainly Isadora, but the rest - even evil Miranda - too) and a perfectly plotted and written story. Really you simply cannot go wrong with this book (though you do need to read the prior books first). But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

For Isa, the life has changed upside down.
She has magic. That's a big one. But... how to control it? How to manage the amount she needs to use and not deplete her reserves completely? And how to use spells if no one ever taught her the spellwork? It's not easy, especially now that she is confronted with count Vabu's compulsion abilities and her volatile portalling, which only leads her from one trouble to another.
Easy and quick YA fantasy read, more suitable for younger readers, but also enjoyable by older ones who seek relaxing and easy escape from the reality. Simple and straightforward plot developing mostly on a single front keeps the reader focused on the main issues, only hinting here and there to other topics. The characters develop nicely along the way, exploring themselves and uncovering their true natures and skills facing the enemy and thrown into dangerous situations. Sometimes there are details that seem not enough explained how the aspect of the world building works or add up to the rest, but otherwise it's a very neat and light read.

BABY'S ON A ROLL!!!
Man, I cannot tell you how great this installment is. A fantastic series and Lucia is a shinning star. Such a gifted author with an amazing imagination and a taste for living life to the fullest thats the way I see her. I believe if she set her mind to it she could make us all believe she can rope the moon. Yes, she is a fantastic story teller with a strategic bent and an awesome way of bringing tales to life brilliantly. She has the ability to bring you into a world she created just for our enjoyment. You totally rocked this read Lucia. Awesome jon, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

once again Lucia has excelled herself , dragons, firedrakes and hell hounds to name a few of the allies our heroine has the help of in her battle against trying to stop the evil sorceress revealing magic exists , I never write spoilers in reviews but what I will say is following on from previous book Isadora's escape from Miranda via a portal and the subsequent help from the most inept teachers helps the action to begin right from the start .the brilliant writing style of Lucia draws you in to another book that you cant put down . one of these days Isadora might finally learn some more magic at this school. I total recommend this book

Lucia Ashta has a wonderful imagination and has created an exceptional and unique tale. This 5th addition is another sample of her story telling. In Questionable Rescue Isa again finds herself almost in the clutches of the evil sorcerous Miranda while trying to hep Count Vabu rescue his sister Priscilla. In her rescue, one o the wizards is lost. If you haven't started this series, you are truly missing a wonderful tale. I highly recommend this book as well as the series. It I best to begin at the beginning, First Spell. You'll thank yourself if you do. Received a copy and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Truly enjoyed reading this one as I have all the previous books in this series. After portaling back to the academy it takes Isa a little longer to recover. However, Vadu is on a mission to save his sister Priscilla. After questioning other students of their experience while held captive by Maranda, he turns attention to Isa. He enters Isa's mind to see & help her with her memories where she discovers more. Then the adventure and action is on.
I received this book from the author and am giving an honest, voluntary review.

Ok she got me

Yes the story is getting better. More drama and questions. I'm reading them faster now to try and figure out what could happen next. Our hero is a heroine now that I knew would happen so where do we go from here? Who is the traitor? I've picked my villain. Have you picked yours yet? Who will save the day in the end? Who becomes the true hero? Will the academy ever come to be? Who do you think lives and dies?

I am absolutely engrossed with this series. I stared out with the audio books but i was having trouble following the story. So i bought all the books and I’m going to read first and then go back and listen. I love the narrator of the audio books and her French accent is amazing. The story is extremely fast paced so i believe reading them will help me but i do love both versions. Highly recommend…

I love that this book picks up minutes from the end of the last book.
Isa learns more about her magical abilities as she helps Count Vabu look for his sister. She comes up against Miranda again and come to understand her tutor Madame Pimlish more in the process.
Lucia leaves us with quite the cliffhanger in this book.

It never ceases to amaze me what dark magicians might do.

Isa preformed a lot of magic in this book. Especially, since she didn't learn any of what she did from a teacher. I swear they will never learn anything at this school at this rate! Between all of the rescue missions that go on & fighting there is no time for school.

This was another winner. Boy this portal time traveling is great. To bad we cannot use this today. No freeway😍. This series is really great. The Academy is really fun as long as dark magic does not get. In the way. I highly recommend this author and all her books. Diana Romano

Serial: not a series. Each story seems to start exactly where the previous one stopped frequently in a cliffhanger. Overall, a good continuation of the story. There's nothing to do but continue on to the next episode.

Based on Kindle Unlimited version borrowed on 7 October 2018.

Finally some action!

In this book we finally start to see Isa get into gear and start learning and doing magic. It's a lot of fun to go along for the adventure. Probably my favorite book so far.

These books where short and fast to read. I started them and couldn't put them down. I didn't get my reviews in because I didn't want to stop. So much goodness on these books. You are going to like every one of these characters.

The firedrakes must be protected at all costs.

This books was one wild ride. It may have been short, but there was literally never a dull moment. I think this one might be my favorite of the series so far.

Is book is 5 - 8 of a 13 book series. I'm going to post this review to all 4 since it covers them all.

Well written books and a fun story ruined by being broken up into little pieces. Authors really need to stop wasting their time and our money trying to get us buy books that are not whole.

For Isabel the course of magic is anything but smooth. Every surprising occurrence has an adverse reaction. And definitely nothing can be taken at face value either.

I can definitely sense while reading this episode that indeed Ms Ashta has an unlimited imagination, an excellent writer, and characters that are unforgettably well developed. A lot of magical action in this book leads to some characters being rescued from the wicked dark witch but others caught in her snare. It remains to be seen how they might escape or defeat her. I’m sitting at the edge of my seat anticipating the next episode of Magical Arts Academy. This is a wonderful read and highly recommended.
