Whoa- that was a thoroughly gripping story. RTC.

Y’all In Too Deep gripped me! When this happy piece of book mail arrived in my box, I couldn’t wait to read it. Of course, I had to wait until the kiddos went to sleep, but once they did I entered Carrington, North Carolina.

There is so much that goes on. Not just suspense wise. Not just romance wise. But let’s solve a crime that’s more complex than anything you can think of. I LOVED it!! I had to make myself go to bed at midnight–I have kids I must sleep–but I woke up extra early to finish and b

Wow! What a great addition to the series. I had high exceptions for this story after loving book #1 and it definitely lived up to it.

There’s so much action in this book which I loved. Sabrina, the main character, had to visit the hospital twice within 12 hours because of multiple attacks that were made on her. This book is definitely fast paced. ;) The mystery side of things was intriguing with the case of human trafficking. I absolutely love how everything fell into place towards the end and h

In Too Deep was an amazing story! I found myself drawn into the story right away and I loved reading more about the characters. After reading the first book, Beneath the Surface, I was eager to continue the series and am so glad I did -- this one was even better!

The story starts off intense and doesn't slow down until the end. You never know if something is going to happen to the characters or not and I didn't want to put the book down. I loved the romance story...and how it felt realistic and s

I'm here to tell you, don't start it unless you have time to read. I was up until one the first night and then one-thirty the next night! It is a gripping story and is one I should have read last year! This is the second book in the Dive Team Investigations and Lynn has done a masterful job on this suspenseful story. Right off the bat, I liked Adam. I mean, what's not to like? He's rich, handsome and caught between a rock and a hard place with his family and job as a detective. And Sabrina is so ...more

For anyone who read Beneath the Surface last year, that sneak peek at In Too Deep definitely left you ready for it’s release! Good news for us all!! The wait is over.

While the entire team works together to solve what initially could be labeled a suicide, the focus is on Adam, the white collar crimes investigator with a family everyone in Carrington knows and Sabrina, an intelligent professor who helps the team with all things online.

Sabrina is adorable naïve when it comes to picking up nuances w

In Too Deep is about my favorite couple of the first book of the Dive Team Investigations, so I was very happy and excited about that. Just like the first book, the action was intense and the romance was just waiting for a quite moment to bloom (plus, another couple I've been shipping since the first book seem to be finally hinting at a future romantic relationship...), and the stakes are high as ever. My only real complaint is that the book is just so sad. The hero's backstory is sad (and he's ...more

Blackburn knocks it out of the ballpark with In Too Deep, book two in the Dive Team Investigations series!

To be honest, after being a bit disappointed by book one, Beneath the Surface, I didn't have very high expectations for this one. But Blackburn exceeded those expectations and then some!

From page one, I fell in love with the main characters, Investigator Adam Campbell and Dr. Sabrina Fleming. Both of them are such strong, well-rounded, realistic characters on their own,

In Too Deep is the second book in the Dive Team Investigations series by Lynn H. Blackburn.
I really enjoyed getting to know the members of the team better. This book focuses on Adam and Sabrina.
Adam Campbell is from an influential family in Carrington, N. Carolina. He is an investigator for the
local Police Department. Dr. Sabrina Flemming also comes from money and is an expert in computer forensics. They met on a case several years previous.
This story revolves around a victim in a submerged
With this story, Lynn Blackburn has become my newest auto buy author! I am loving this series, and I can’t wait for the next book, One Final Breath, which comes out on September 3rd! This team has such great camaraderie and the mysteries are so well done. There’s always a perfect amount of action, enough to keep you on your toes, but not so much that it becomes unbelievable. And, the touches of humor are perfect! I love it when authors have the ability to throw in much needed humor in the middle ...more
The second book of the Dive Team Investigation series features Detective Adam Campbell and Dr. Sabrina Fleming a professor of cybersecurity and computer forensics. Filled with twists, turns, and lots of red herrings, this suspense thriller kept me glued to my seat until I finished it. Never did see the final twist coming and hope a third book will both finish one thread that I felt wasn't totally completed and perhaps star Gabe and Anissa.

This story is jam-packed with fast-paced action and laced with just enough swoony attraction to keep that heart rate up throughout! I love the teammate co-worker/friends dynamic connecting the half dozen main and secondary characters. Inner workings of the investigation are fascinating, not lost in technical jargon or lengthy procedures. Human trafficking elements are always hard to read in a story yet I’m thankful for the increased awareness of this ever-pres

'An untested and unchallenged faith is unproven.'

Lynn Blackburn takes us into book 2 in her Dive Team Investigations series with this offering and it's quite a good ride, too! Investigator Adam Campbell is called to the scene of a car submerged in a lake and there is a very cryptic clue on the victim. All the team have is her laptop and a few flash drives. Enter Dr. Sabrina Fleming, who is a crazy good computer forensics expert and professor. Between them and other members of the team, they hope
The story grips the reader from the start. The suspense was riveting. I enjoyed the story of Adam and Sabrina. The courtship was sweet. The faith aspect was just right. The narrator was outstanding. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

Wow, I knew this was a five star read from the first page! Adam has a GREAT relationship with his family, but it's frowned upon when he gets called in to work while having Sunday lunch with them. He played SUCH a great hero to Sabrina, Dr. Fleming, in this page turner.

Sabrina is a computer whiz who doesn't get how to read people and their mannerisms, loved her throughout the story. All the investigators who work with Adam love Sabrina and it was AWESOME how they explain to her what's going on wh

This second book of the Dive Team Investigations series was even stronger than the first. The crime was interesting and seemed more realistic than the crime in the first novel. Continuing to enjoy the cast of six main characters.

This was book two in the Dive Team investigation series. I didn’t read book one but still enjoyed book two. You can read this one as a stand alone.

This is one of those books that "wows" right from the start. Characters fully developed and great interaction between characters enable them to move flawlessly through the story line.

The chemistry between the male and female protagonists is strong and sweet. This is a clean, squeaky clean, read but it still has those moments of heart enveloping romance. Again, squeaky clean.

The mystery or suspense that is discovered by the team of investigators becomes more and more convoluted as they discover b

This is the first novel I've read by Lynn H. Blackburn but it won't be the last. This riveting suspense grabbed my attention from the opening scene and didn't let go until the final satisfying page. Although I had not read the previous book in this series, I had no trouble connecting with and caring about the well-drawn characters. Adrenaline-laced scenes fraught with danger kept me rapidly turning pages as Adam and Sabrina desperately attempt to stay a step ahead of the perpetrator. Cyber foren ...more

IN TOO DEEP is the second book in Ms. Blackburn's Dive Team Investigation series, but it easily stands alone. I did read the first Beneath the Surface and vaguely remember it, but I don't think I would've been lost if I hadn't read it.

I have to say I LOVE Adam. He is so sweet and sensitive and handles teasing from his coworkers well (who call him a pretty boy because his family is wealthy). I also loved Sabrina and how beautifully clueless she was until she well, wasn't.

I did kind of wonder wh

I was pleasantly surprised by this book because as much as I liked the first book in this series, it wasn't enough for me to follow through to the second book. So, when I saw this book available at my library, I thought, "I'll give it a whirl." Right from the beginning, it had me hooked, and the romance between Adam and Sabrina was sweet. This book for me was definitely a lot better for me, things just seem more plausible, nothing was forced on the reader, at least not on this reader. The ending ...more

You know that moment when you reach the end of a really good book and you have the sudden urge to charge up the highest mountaintop with a megaphone in hand so you can holler out a proclamation of epic proportion about a not-to-be-missed book? Because you just can't stand the thought of somebody missing out because they might not know about it? Well, that's me right now over In Too Deep.

Serious reader nirvana magic. Especially if you are a romantic suspense lover! And if you favour quirky heroi

Dive Team investigations book# 2

I received this book from the publisher Revell through the first reviewer program for my honest and unbiased thoughts.

The blurb sounded good:

“When the dive team is called in to recover a body from a submerged car, they aren't prepared to find an encrypted laptop--or an unsettling connection between investigator Adam Campbell and the dead accountant. Adam's team calls in Dr. Sabrina Fleming, a cybersecurity and computer forensics expert.”

This book needs to be categorized as Christian fiction. Or, to be even more accurate, Christian romantic mystery. I read it thinking it was a regular mystery thriller, and it wasn't. Normally, this wouldn't really be a big deal, but in this case it was, and I'll explain why.

The book started out with an interesting premise. A woman is found having driven off a bridge and been killed. When Detective Adam Campbell and his dive team investigators are assigned to the case, they find suspicious circum

I loved being back with this team, and saying hello again to old friends, but this can be read alone, but once you devour this one you will want to read the first book in this series.
It didn’t take long to become completely immersed in this mystery, and page-turning to find answers. I changed my mind a few times as to what was going on. But loved the strong faith of the main characters, and with all that was happening and going on they lived their faith in God.

This one is so sad! Don’t get me wrong - it is an EXCELLENT book - but heartbreakingly sad and redemptive and ultimately full of healing and a pair of swoon-worthy protagonists. ;) Here’s hoping there’ll be more books in this series VERY soon!
What began with an interesting premise and a starting chapter that had me hooked, In Too Deep quickly spins into a tepid romance between characters Adam and Sabrina are difficult to root for. I wanted more focus on the murder where the victim is found with a chilling message that reads "They killed me. Ask Adam Campbell." I'm not sure if it would have been helpful to have read the first book to have more of a background on these characters, so please take that into consideration. I thought at ti ...more
