WOW....I never expected to love this book as much as I did! I literally started it thinking I’d read a couple of chapters before bed and then suddenly it was 2:30 in the morning because i couldn’t stop reading it! It’s been a while since a book sucked me in so much where I couldn’t stop.
I loved everything! The heroine was sweet and super smart. The hero was easy to like and seeing inside his head with dual POV was super helpful. I liked the fact the hero wasn’t instantly attracted to her but th

Archer is a handsome 26 year old struggling actor who also works for a company that hires out attractive men for events and no sex is allowed. AnnaBelle is a 24 year old physics grad student who hires Archer to be her date for a party at her rich parent’s house. She feels she is not as pretty as her beautiful sisters and has been busy with school and not dated much so she is willing to pay for a date so she won’t be pitied for being dateless. At the party Archer is asked to spend the weekend at ...more

What a lovely way to add a little romance to your afternoon! "Man Of The Moment," is book one, of a new series, Gentlemen Inc. by Thea Dawson. It's a contractual/boyfriend for hire, turns to real love romance, that ticks all the romantic boxes, for me. Annabelle feels dull and dowdy when she compares herself to her beautiful and elegant sisters. Brianna and Carina are tall and slender, whereas Annabelle is short and curvy. Her sisters are sophisticated, confident and Annabelle believes that she ...more

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through arc.

Archer in the movie business you can never show them that you are desperate but sometimes it’s a time between eating and paying rent. Cassandra from Gentlemen’s inc just called she runs an companion service service for people that need someone to accompany them to functions. Annabelle wasn’t his usually type of women that used his services but he knew that since he was an actor he could pull off anything. Archer was having

This is my first read of Thea's and I really enjoyed it.
The characters were well written and easy to get to know.
Poor Annabelle feels like she is the black sheep of the family, despite the fact that her sisters and parents are very loving and caring, she can't help but feel she is a bit of a frump in comparison....
Archer is a handsome, somewhat self centred aspiring actor.... he is looking for his big break.
When an arranged date with Annabelle turns into the possible chance of his life he take

Archer Carleson sees life as a series of transactions. Someone does something for him and they expect something in return and vise versa. Annabelle Winter hires him through Gentlemen, Inc. to be her escort to her parents’ annual party so that her family won’t pity her because she’s short, curvy, and nerdy instead of tall, thin, and beautiful like her sisters. Their relationship starts out as a transaction and Archer kept saying to himself that she wasn’t his type, but he wanted Annabelle to feel ...more

Man of the Moment (Gentleman, Inc. Book 1)!

This is the story about Annabelle, who feels like she’s a dumpy woman compared to her sisters. Her two sisters are beautiful and successful, and although Annabelle is brilliant in her own right, she needs to do something to stop the pity from her family. So she spends considerable savings, to hire a discrete man to play the part of her boyfriend for 1 night at her parent’s party. Little did either Annabelle or Archer know, it was just the start of a fa

WOW, what a beautifully written story. I read this book in one sitting because I had to see what would happen with Archer and Annabelle. Annabelle hires Archer through Gentlemen, Inc. because she she wants to sparkle in her family’s eyes. This book is emotional in parts, but I loved all of it. The only thing I didn’t like was Annabelle’s reaction when she thinks Archer deceived her. She needed a good kick in her derrière, lol. No spoilers, so grab your copy and fall in love with all these wonder ...more

This was a very entertaining read! It was nice to see how Archer’s views of Annabelle changed as he started off not really liking her to becoming friends, to becoming lovers. Archer is a smart and handsome young aspiring actor who is very ambitious and it seemed that this ambition would lead to heartbreak ad trouble. Annabelle is a smart but very insecure young woman who feels inferior when compared to her sisters. Archer and Annabelle will have to overcome their issues and misunderstandings if ...more

Annabelle is a geek and the complete opposite of her two willowy sisters, in the past her boyfriends have gone on about her sisters when they've met them. So for a family party she hires Archer, an actor, from Gentlemen's Inc, to act as her boyfriend. He's had a hard start in life and done things he's regretted.
Things start fine until Annabelle's mother invites him up to their summer house for the weekend, Archer agrees cos his housemate has her intermittent boyfriend staying.

This book is a cute story with a bit of drama. Someone might think Archer's personality is a bit shady and I think they are not wrong but that shady makes him real for me. I am grateful that Annabella's kindness wins him over at some points. After everything he has been through he deserves Annabelle's love. Annabella is also real for me. The author writes this book so well that I can read it through in a few hours and I have a bit teary after Annabella and Archer temporarily separate because I c ...more

Annabelle, the cute, brilliant sister, who comes from a wealthy family of two successful, gorgeous sisters, hires Archer, a struggling actor in LA, to be her escort for a big family event. I love how Ms. Dawson's easy writing style tells this story from a dual POV. It naturally flows back and forth without skipping a beat and easily shows the chemistry between them. Thea Dawson is truly a charming writer.

I absolutely loved this book, it had a great mix of humour, heartbreak, determination and hope for happiness. Archer and Annabelle are complete opposites which makes their interactions so much more awkward and their banter/sparring will have you giggling. I really liked how both of them grew and started to work out who they really were in life as they got to know each other and worked though their own work issues. I am sure you will be like me when you get to the end of the book and want to thro ...more

I fell for Archer right along with Annabelle. Their story is so sweet with depth and passion for days. Archer thinks he wants something totally different than what he comes to realize is his actualality. Annabelle is so self conscious when it comes to her place and fit within her own family and in social settings. I love the way they each grow and become who they are always meant to be. The writing is superb. The banter, the wit and the dialogue is excellent. The characters are likeable and fun ...more

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Annabelle and Archer. Archer is an actor trying for his big break, but he also works as an escort, not the sleezy kind. Annabelle is a grad student who needs to make a better impression to get family. So she hires Archer to be her date to the party. He's not the typical guy she would date. But when they start to get to know each other it seems that opposites do attract. But a little miscommunication leaves them on ro ...more

This was a cute story. Light and fluffy with humor and heart. Annabel is the youngest Winter sister and feels less than compared to her two sisters.
Archer is the aspiring actor and hired date of Annabel.
These two are opposite in so many ways yet click once placed in a weekend together with her family. Yet insecurity, assumptions and withheld information makes it a challenge.
Enjoyed the dual POV and seeing Annabel come into her own and appreciate her family.

Annabelle hires Archer, a struggling actor, as her boyfriend to impress her family. A series of comical events make both of them uncomfortable and in situations that shouldn't be happening. Inadvertently Archer gets invited to a family weekend with Annabelle and her family. She thinks he will refuse and is taken aback when he accepts. He has reasons for accepting that Annabelle knows nothing about and also end up sharing a room as the spate room is flooded. An unexpected relationship develops ov ...more

At first off the book started great, though it did have some lulls but there were definitely some highs as well. While the characters were well developed, Annabelle just seemed to get on my nerves as being just a little too whiny for my taste. Archer for more than half of the book kept saying she wasn’t his type, then did a 180 and fell for Annabelle, just needed a little more build up to make it plausible. While this a new author for me, Ms. Dawson, I did enjoy the book about Archer and Annabel ...more

This start to the series has really excited me and I can’t wait to read the next books.

Annabelle and Archers story is captivating as they are both fighting their demons and a clearly not well matched but I guess that is what makes them an exciting time.

Brilliant writing for Thea, I could not put it down once I started reading.

I enjoyed this so much I had to keep reading in one sitting. I like that the hero wasn't immediately attracted to Annabelle and was just doing his job. But the more he was around her, he could see her worth. They actually get to know each other before anything physical happens and the struggle is real when he really falls for her and has to make a choice.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The story line was good, some nice changes to the usual hire a boyfriend for family's sake, however the characters fell flat and I was unable to relate to any of them. Annabelle was whinny and immature and she does not improve though out the book. Archer's character is just not realistic, who goes from professional with no feelings or attraction and then can't live without her the next moment?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story will grab your attention right at the beginning and you'll find it hard to put down. A wall flower, a male escort, an influential family, a wanna be actor, and more drama than you can imagine. Annabelle and Archer will grab your heart and take you on a romantic roller coaster. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

What's a girl to do when she has 2 beautiful sisters and doesn't feel she can compare...why, hire a hunk to fake a relationship, of course...maybe then she can get on with her life and not feel like the ugly duckling. But throw in a few curve balls, feel goods, heart breaks and you get more than you bargained for. Grab this one and get a great story.

This book was a really sweet read. I always love a good fake relationship story line. You throw in 2 beautiful sisters, the man she hired to be her fake boyfriend, and you have yourself and really great story that will keep you guessing until the very end. I really enjoyed this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Once again, the author delivers an accomplished love story. Both heartwarming and heartbreaking at different points, and yet never too much of one or the other to throw off the balance.

This is, quite simply, lovely.  A one sitting read.

3.5 Short review. Archer and Annabelle are a sweet couple, liked Annabelle's sisters and can't wait to read their books, I didn't like Archer's roommate/friend Alex she was way to naive and annoying. *mini spoiler* I didn't like how Annabelle handle things with Archer I would have preferred her confronting him instead of doing what she did. *mini spoiler*
