Claudia shows how two blocks at the same size can be combined to develop a interesting pattern. She discusses how color placement can impact the look of quilt top. Her explanation of how two patterns combine was difficult to understand and needed repeated reading to understand what she was saying. She did better when she had pictures with her explanations of secondary patterns.
She included 15 projects, but I would have liked alternate colorways of the quilt projects as I think it would have shown how to put her concepts into practice.
I would buy this book again if it was deeply discounted, but I would not buy it again if it was full price. Several patterns were nice but I did not like the fabric placement.
