When hikers find a body in a hunting cabin, the case seems cut and dried until the victim turns out to be the right-hand man to the alpha of a rival pack. Handling a paranormal murder case is tricky enough without a pack war looming on the horizon.

While Cori tries to find a murderer before peace flies out the window, Zach's past - the one he can't remember - catches up with him in the form of a mysterious woman.

As if her hands weren't full enough, the mysterious, impulsive vampire who founded the town has decided he doesn't like the way the town is running and has decided to rebrand it.

All Cori wants is to master her magic and make sure her town remains the safe, sleepy place it's always been. Instead, trouble's on the horizon, and she has to stand tall with her friends and her fox familiar by her side and meet it head-on.

Join Cori Sloane - witch, werewolf, and sheriff - her fox familiar, and her bevy of paranormal friends for yet another adventure in this third installment of the Cori Sloane Witchy Werewolf Mystery series.

I was born and raised in the South and even hung my motorcycle helmet in Colorado for a few months. I've always had a touch of wanderlust and have never feared just packing up and going on new adventures, whether in real life or via the pages of a great book.

When I was a little girl, I didn't want to grow up to be a writer—I wanted to raise unicorns and be a superhero. When those gigs fell through, I chose the next best thing: creating my own magical lands filled with adventure, magic, humor, and romance.

I live in Florida with my two dogs and when I'm not writing or reading, I'm racing motorcycles with my taller, more handsome half, hanging out at the beach, or binge-watching anything magical on Netflix.

I'm eternally grateful for all the people who help make my life what is today - friends, readers, family. No woman is an island.

More focus on shifters in this one, which was fun, but I'd like to see more of Cori's powers. The ending also seemed abrupt.

Good

This book had a couple of continuity issues. One being that on one page it was said the victim's parents were told, the next page that the victim's father had died. Small thing. The other would be a spoiler so not saying. Still even with that the book was very enjoyable and fun to read. I was looking forward to the next book in the series, but since it looks like it will be a crossover with the Keyhole Lake series I'm wondering if I should start those first. Anyway I've enjoyed this series so far and the Enchanted Coast series and there are a few others of hers that sound interesting that I want to try.

After a particularly brutal murder, tensions are running high and making it difficult for Sheriff Cori Sloan to keep a lid on the town's peaceful coexistence.

First off, let me say I totally believe in this author. She tells entertaining stories that I truly enjoy. But...this book in particular needs editing in the worst way...dropped words, switched names, author notes in the text. It is very distracting and takes you out of your reading rhythm...which can translate to lost interest in the book. If your book is not ready for publishing, then it's not ready - your readers will wait for you if you present a quality book to them. Another thing that I am not seeing developing any further in the series is any magic pertaining to Cori's witchy side.

Trouble has arrived. And if you live in Castle's Bluff and have a bad gut feeling, you should probably listen to your gut. That mixed with a super blue moon on Halloween, leaves life open for havoc.

Alex is definitely in the dog house when the new liason for the NOLA wolves comes to town. And Selena is pushing all the right buttons to be on certain
people's bad sides ( mine included). But Sheriff Cori will have to deal with one catastrophe at a time. The catastrophes are mounting a little to quickly and a murder case takes a turn for the worst.

Thank Goddesses that Castle's Bluff is such a tight knit community and has its share of eclectic supernatural. Im looking forward to a long series for Cori Sloane. Definetly a fantastical writer behind it and a magical cast.

At action-packed supernatural cozy mystery series

An action packed supernatural cozy mystery/urban fantasy series. A great cast of characters in a small Georgia town where the sheriff is part werewolf part which. She’s also the outfit in her local pack. Follow along as a town full of supernatural beings as well as humans mixed together in the small-town life. The sheriff and her crew must solve mysteries and crimes that sometimes involve supernatural beings as well as humans. Some humans know what’s going on others do not. So you never know what’s gonna happen. Extraordinarily entertaining

Parts of this one were really impacted by some editing issues. For example, a particular victim is identified as a bear shifter. There is a witness that says there were 2 wolf shifters involved. Then later the murderer states her husband was having an affair with the victim. However, that statement is not followed up on or proven. The wrap up of the investigation is very abrupt with quite a few threads still left without explanation. While I like the series, there have been multiple editing issues and abrupt endings throughout so far. I'd like to stick with the series but I have some hesitations now.

I have enjoyed this series so much I marked my calendar to be sure to get #3 the day it became available. I really enjoyed the story. The mystery was good and the characters were believable. Cori Sloane is smart, compassionate and makes a great sheriff. I like that the plot was suspenseful but not too scary. However, I was disappointed in the large number of typing errors, especially toward the end of the story, so I wasn't able to give a 5 star rating. Having a few people check for errors before publishing would really enhance the reader's experience.

Really hate books that end mid stream

A good plot - the killing of a member that is against the joining together to find solutions to problems faced by supernaturals. But it just end! No solution! No nothing! Ugh!! Really frustrating!
When a badly mauled body of a second in the pack that her mother had a hard time convincing to join the group that would come together to seek solutions to problems faced by supernaturals in a human world. Just as she starts the investigation - IT ENDS!

There's something in the air making Sheriff Cori Sloan edgy. Unfortunately, it won't take long for her to figure out why. The second in command of the NOLA wolf pack has been murdered and bear tracks were found at the scene. This could throw the new treaty and council her parents are working on right out the door. This is the third book in this series and I love the way the characters are written. The plot is just as good as the characters and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Another great read

This is such a good series, and "Bad Moon Rising" is the third excellent entry! Cori Sloane is the sheriff, alpha, wolf, and witch; as if juggling all that isn't enough now she's got a murder and an assault to solve that's threatening already shaky inter-paranormal politics. The character work is creative, the pacing is perfect, the mystery is managed well, and her mother is actually a help rather than a hindrance this time around! I love this author and enthusiastically recommend this series!

I Feel The Bad Moon Arisin’

Sheriff Cori Sloane is back and she’s badder than ever. A multi shifter treaty, which Cori’s mother has worked so hard to bring about, is being threatened by the murder of a werewolf from the New Orleans pack. Will Cori be able to solve the murder in time to save the treaty? Is Cori herself in mortal danger? Like the Go Goes, my lips are sealed. Buy the books folks; Tegan needs gas money for her motorcycle.

This was a fun read. Although I was sorry about the young bear shifter. 🐻 Innocent as all get out but then that left the question of who the guy was talking with and why he opted to lie when he said he spoke with the sister. What exactly was in that medicine that increased her speed. I am glad she was able to iron out things between the other shifter and explain the treaty sufficient enough for her to get an understanding.

I go through these books so quickly!

Three books in and I’m still enjoying the series. This instalment was rather fast paced with an intriguing mystery for Cori and Sam to solve. My only gripe would be that the unveiling of the identity of the antagonist is lightning fast, and always seems to come after some small thing that makes everything fall into place for Cori. I’d like a more drawn out affair every now and then 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Another excellent entry

A great entry to this series, moving the characters and coalition on. I have no doubt Tegan Maher has something up her sleeve, lots of little hints being dropped that you know she doesn't just write in for the sake of writing in.
I look forward to the next book.

Bad Moon Rising... did you think that was just a CCR song - nope. It is a time when magic is very powerful... As Cori's mom works to get all shifters to sign a peace treaty that govern's them all equally, someone murders an influential rival Pack's Alpha's right hand man.... will Cori be able to find the murderer and keep the packs at peace before the treaty is lost altogether?

Great supernatural book

Murder, Vampires and shifters oh and humans of course. A great series of books, once you start reading you can't stop. Cori is part Werewolf and part Witch, she's Alpha of her pack and the Sheriff of her town too. I couldn't put this book down until I'd finished it and can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

This book was...amazing!! The care and straight forwardness with which the author handled the tricky situation was wonderful. She really did the story arc justice and managed to toe the line between gut feeling, evidence, sheriff and shifter perfectly! This is one of the best books in inter-personal relationships that I have ever read!!

Treaty and murder don't mix

Another fun installment for Cori Sloane. It's like going home to a small town that supports each other. Cori is going to need all the support she can get. She has to solve a murder that could break up the treaty talks between all the shifters. Thank goodness for friends and allies willing to help her solve the case and save the treaty.

An excellent murder mystery!

I love me a good murder mystery, I really do. All of the stories have been excellent murder mysteries, but this one in particular really left me guessing! Some parts were easy to figure out while some, not so much. Again, the characters were on point as always. I definitely recommend it!

Amazing story

This is the second series I've read by the author I just discovered her I'm very much enjoying her books I typically read Amanda and Lee and Annabelle Chase her story lines are very similar strong snarky females as the lead characters with a paranormal twist and a Little romance

Needs serious editing

Another wonderful story, but so severely needs editing. There is a random page after chapter 28. The author quotes the book as having near 200 pages, when it’s under 150. Names are swapped making things confusing and hard to follow.

Good story

Many grammatical mistakes and wrong characters referenced. Best advice is better editing. Regardless, I was able to follow along an have enjoyed all books so far. Will keep reading.

Light read

There's been another murder and Cori finds herself in a very sticky political paranormal situation. The storyline and mystery are well written. I hope Zack find a peace and love so everyone doesn't continue to feel guilty about what was done to him.

Favorite Cori Slone book yet

Fantastic story as always. Enough misdirection to keep the story interesting even tho this time there might have been a few more hints about the killer.

Enjoyable, a nice, quick and easy read.

I have been enjoying a variety of Tegan’s books this week and generally find them to be entertaining. I like both her characters and plot lines.
I did find the ending to this book a little rushed grammatically and in the wrap up.

Really good mystery

The murder mystery and the new characters are this book good. The increased magic by Cori and Alex adds new dimensions which seem will come into play more. Again, more focus on the romance would make it even better

Another great story by Tegan Mahar. Cant wait for the next, although whoever did the editing of this one did a poor job. It was a bit distracting.

Tegan Maher has come up with a new series that is a must read. I enjoyed the"Witches of Keyhole Lake" and this might be even better.
