The Count finds many things to count while preparing for a come-as-you-are party at his castle.
A series of Sesame Street books offered by subscription through the mail. Originally released by Golden Press, many of the Book Club series were reissued by Reader's Digest with slightly modified covers.
The Count Counts a Party Plot: The Count runs out of things to count, so he decides to throw a party with plenty of fabulous things to count to get ready.
My Thoughts: Hmm. Cake and fruit. Maybe the Count would have had more to count if he would have gotten I don’t know some other foods like chips and dip and a sandwich platter. Maybe some vegetables. Maybe some shrimp. I just find it funny that just because the invitation said to come as you are they took that so literally. Ernie and Burt rush out the house in towels and just getting out the bathtub. The cake *does* look good though.
This was my absolute favorite book when I was a child. I don't own a copy, but would love to re-read it and see if it is a fascinating to me as it once was.
This was a fun read as a kid! The illustrations were great and very detailed. I was always fascinated by the cast of characters and the interior of the Count's castle.
